Time Magazine compared Barack Obama to Franklin Roosevelt, complete with cigarette holder and massive federal intervention.
Is it an accurate comparison?
If you believe Lee Ohanian and Harold Cole it may be true, but not in the happy talk, cheerleady way that Time intended.
The two UCLA economists contend that Roosevelt’s interventionist policies actually made the Great Depression even more…well…depressing.
Just like some critics say that Obama’s “stimulus” is making the recession even more…uhhh…recessional.

What?!? You mean you can not spend your way out of debt? You mean pyramid schemes like social security can not last? Just look at how great Fannie Mae turned out, wasn't that part of the "New Deal?" And those labor unions made possible by the New Deal, look at how they saved the auto industry!
Geeze, some people.
