No. Seriously. Blood may be flowing in the streets of Tehran, but that won’t keep the ketchup from flowing at our embassies around the world.
Hot Dog Diplomacy
Earlier this month, Obama ordered our embassies to invite Iranian diplomats to their annual 4th of July celebrations. And in the minds of Obama’s state department officials, Iran’s brutal oppression of freedom fighters is no reason to dis-invite them from our celebrations of freedom.
“There’s no thought to rescinding the invitations to Iranian diplomats,” State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said.
“We have made a strategic decision to engage on a number of fronts with Iran,” he continued. “We tried many years of isolation, and we’re pursuing a different path now.”
“Pork ribs,” Joe Biden thought to himself. “Let’s offer ‘em pork ribs. Everybody loves a good pork rib.”
