Yale monkey to join Obama economic team?

Uh-oh. We tread on very thin ice when we compare President Obama to a monkey. As we recall from the New York Post cartoon controversy, that quickly gets you labeled as a racist.

And yet one can’t watch this TED lecture from Yale psychology Professor Laurie Santos without coming to the conclusion that a monkey’s understanding of the free market is just as irrational as President Obama’s.

She taught our primate relatives to use currency and discovered that “monkeynomics” is very similar to Obamanomics because the primates also continue to repeat the same irrational mistakes over and over again.

  • I actually enjoy listening to Williams and Sowell more than Rush. Rush is good, but to me he is too full of himself.

    • When Williams is guest hosting, it is a very different show then the one Rush does. His presentation is economics first, & everything ties in. Rush covers everything, & he has politicall/media/cultural instincts that very few have. His first hour back today was very personal & very powerful. I am glad he started the show telling America about the funeral he attended. He did it with grace & class. I have a bit more perspective about my life & about life in general after I thought about that hour of radio. As good as Williams is(& I love listening to Williams), that 1st hour is an example of why Rush is still the best.

  • You know, yesterday El-Rushbo was at a funeral, & he had economist Dr.Walter E.Williams fill in for him. He is "black by popular demand" & a very handsome man if you just ask him. In hour 2, he had his buddy & fellow economist Thomas Sowell on(Williams almost ALWAYS has him on in hour 2 when guest hosting)with him. On over 600 radio stations across America, Limbaugh again had more intellectual economic firepower on display in his timeslot then the entire Obama regime combined. You always learn something when Williams is on, & when he talks to Sowell, it really is amazing radio. Plus they keep it interesting & fun, not something easy to do with the subject of economics.

  • I'd have to wholeheartedly agree....in fact, if you cannot tell a monkey from a marxist baboon, then you are clearly a racist! Monkeys are smart, and baboons...? Well, considering the baboon in in the white house.....isn't it obvious?

  • I think I speak for many when I say-I would much rather have that monkey in the white house. At least that way, we may be safe, as many primates operate in large families, with a definitive hierarchy, in which the leader is responsible for PROTECTING the family-at all costs. And since our leader is selling us out to the Russians, Chinese, and Islam, and is without constitutional authority, sending our money to the third world, without any input from Congress-a monkey in the WH would be a welcomed, and maybe America saving change!

  • Oh my...you racists! You are NOT allowed to use the word "monkey" in the same sentence as Obama!

If it was Geithner they were talking about the word would be "weasel"

    • You're not supposed to say the phrase "Islamic terrorist" anymore, either, or they will get you. Oh No! I said 'Islamic terrorist"! Oops. I said "Islamic terrorist" again! Whoops! I said it again!

It's almost like those words just naturally go with each other -- every time I try to say things like "Christian terrorist", I keep on getting reminded that of the damned* few that would like to meet that description, all are disavowed by the people they would pretend to be one of.

      What words, you ask?

"Islamic terrorist" Oh NO! I said it again!...

      *literally and figuratively.
