Jeff Immelt is the sleazy chairman of General Electric (GE), which owns NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC.
Rumors swirled around the media world very early in the Obama administration that Immelt had held a dinner for the top executives and air talent of his networks and told them to go easy on the new administration. Of course, everyone involved denied that the dinner had ever taken place.
Now Charles Gasparino tells Bill O’Reilly that he has confirmation from people who attended the dinner that it not only took place, but that the “go easy on Obama” order was actually issued.
The only remaining question is, why did he bother inviting anyone from MSNBC? How much easier could they go?

NEVER buy a GE product, NEVER!
You won't have to tell me twice.
How many posts have I made about not buying anything GE?
Oh my! I don't know .... perhaps a few hundred times :-) And each time you were right to remind us of it.
Thanks KQ, & once again, from light bulbs to jet engines, if you have the chance to buy something other then GE, do it.
I shall remember that the next time I am purchasing replacement parts for my private jet plane :-p :-)
LOL, smart ass.
Okay seriously? This troll is hilarious.... :-)
WHAT?! They were told to go easy on him? NOOOOOOO!!! I can't believe it! What is he, a "special needs" student? He's a grown man (physically, though the way he acts when faced with criticism could lead me to believe otherwise) who needs to start acting like he's got a pair, instead of getting his panties in a twist every time someone disagrees with him.
When I saw that I was like yes so what is new? Of course Immelt said it, he needed Obama to go easy on him with all these green stuff they were doing. Dishonor is nothing new at NBC.
Like anyone in the lame stream would need to be called into a meeting and asked to go easy on a liberal president.
I could see a meeting where they were called in and asked to try not to make it so blatantly obvious.
