• The document All-Red is holding in her hand is Meg's best defense. It specifically states that it in no way brings into question the person's immigration status.

• I wonder if you folks notice what I do about liberal women. They all have a similare look to them. Compare Pelosi,Allred, Boxer, Arianna Huffington, Jan Schakowski, Barbara Striesand etc., etc. They always have a LOT of makeup on over thier dried up faces and usually have a cheshire cat smile on that disappears quickly when confronted with thier lies.

  • I wonder if Allred is being put up to this. Now she is enough of a media whore to do this on her own, but she looks worse then usual in this case. Allred is usually smarter in how she does this sort of thing, but this just looks really bad.

    • She is getting paid, big bucks, by SOMEONE or SOMEONE'S underlings or SOMEONE'S supporters to enhance SOMEONE'S campaign against Whitman... If you catch my drift.

      That alone puts her career in question.

  • I think your idea about her name is cute, but I think she's just a media whore. Her main goal is to be the Sharpton or Jackson of the west coast in that way. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how she looks to me.

    • Me, I think she is a garden-variety ambulance-chaser who has made a fortune trading on her name (time was when people would settle when they heard she was representing the plaintiff), and getting exposed for incompetence, exposing her clients to felony prosecution for political gain is a career limiting move of poetic proportions.

      Sweet, sweet justice. You gotta love it.

      I think she has gotten so far in over her head that she has to have Moonbeam get elected to get her a job, as her legal practice is now officially in shambles. And to think that all's it took was her own big mouth encountering lawyers more competent than she.

  • Greta is an excelent legal reporter, & she made Gloria look like crap. Allred looked like an amatuer, & I think she knows it.

    • Maybe if Gloria loses the case and gets BBQ'd in court as Greta suggests because the handwriting proves Mrs. Whitman's husband was aware of the document Gloria can go after him for opening his wife's mail.

      It is *so* funny when she goes on against actual lawyers, and her competence comes into question. This *has* to be destroying her reputation as a lawyer.

        • Legal malpractice is hard to prove in court. Lawyers as a whole tend to protect their own, and getting them to challenge each others' ethics would probably open up a whole can of worms -- few lawyers want to have their own competence challenged, which is guaranteed to happen if they try to sue for legal malpractice. What she has done really isn't a violation of any code of ethics -- as far as I know, lawyers *have* no code of ethics -- it is just counter productive and drives away clients.

          As long as she doesn't break any laws, her legal license is safe. Bummer.

          Yeah, when you deal with lawyers, things get real weird real fast. There's an old saying "One lawyer living in a small town will starve. If another lawyer moves into that same town, BOTH will get rich."

          Personally, until I see lawyers handling legal malpractice cases as often as they do medical malpractice, I won't believe any of them are ethical.

• Eric Holder and the Justice Department is suing Maricopa Community Colleges because they "discriminated against nearly 250 noncitizen job applicants by mandating that they fill out more documents than required by law to prove their eligibility to work. That violated the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, the department said."

  And Allred is suing because Whitman did not do enough to check her status.
