Uh-oh. Looks like Nancy Pelosi’s campaign to investigate those who are against the Ground Zero mosque won’t be getting any support from former DNC head Howard Dean.
“I gotta believe there has to be a compromise here,” Dean told WABC Radio. “This isn’t about the rights of Muslims to have a worship center or Jews or Christians or anybody else to have a place to worship anywhere near Ground Zero. This is something we ought to be able to work out with people of good faith. And we have to realize that it is a real affront to people who lost their lives – including Muslims. That site doesn’t belong to an particular religion. It belongs to all Americans and all faiths. So I think a good, reasonable compromise could be worked out without violating the principal that people out to be able to worship as they see fit…I think another site might be a good idea.”
In other words, move the mosque.

Wow, in this link they actually describe Cordoba as "as a symbol of Islam's golden age of learning and religious tolerance. The Mosque of Cordoba was once famed for allowing both Christians and Muslims to pray together under the same roof."
They mention "Spain's Christian monarchy conquered Cordoba in the 13th century". No mention whatsoever of how the Muslims got there in the first place.
Don't forget the "It is not a mosque" argument. The AP describes it something like as a "community center that contains a mosque". My church has a multipurpose room that we let the Boy Scouts use, by that logic we are no longer a church.
Does anyone know why the Greek Orthodox church at Ground Zero has not been rebuilt?
It may be a totally innocent reason. If they were denied a permit however, this becomes a case of the government favoring one religion over another.
They haven't been provided with the permit... It could be that it wasn't outright denied just not provided but in any case it is to me tantamount as being denied ESPECIALLY since the building was there BEFORE the attacks so it wouldn't necessarily be a NEW building like this mosque would be. So yes it does seem as if the local state government is favoring one religion over another.

SHOULD this insult to America be built as projected, there are a couple things that free-thinking people might do. NOTE: I do not personally advocate or condone engaging in these activities. This is, rather, just an intellectual exercise.
1) Some enterprising paint-ball manufacturer COULD possibly start making balls loaded with PIG BLOOD. Said balls fired onto the mosque walls, door, etc. would make it an unclean building.
2) One inch cubes of a cheap cut of pork, fired with a sling-shot from a distance at various times of the day or night, would give a message of "we don't want you here", especially if they stuck to the exterior walls.
Just a couple thoughts. I'm sure American ingenuity can expand on them, but only as an intellectual exercise of course.
