Marco Rubio can say he’s not interested in higher office all he wants, but he’s not fooling us. Why else does a freshman senator rush off to Afghanistan if not to burnish his foreign affairs experience?
Rubio made the trek to Afghanistan to get a feel for how things are going. In this clip, he reveals what he learned.
Don’t print the Rubio 2012 bumper stickers yet. But Rubio 2016 is probably a pretty good bet.

I think it's pretty impressive that he goes to a really dangerous place to help build his political street cred. I didn't see Oh-shit go there, (though he may have), or Bi-The-Way-den. In fact, the only one with aspirations to higer office in this administration who I think may have gone to Afghanistan is Hillary, (I think. I'm not sure about this). Rubio is polishing his apple and I think Afghanistan is as good a place to start as any.
I like Rubio; helped put him into the Senate. Really hoping for good things from him. I'm not suprised at all by his trip to Afghanistan, and yes, he definitely has higher aspirations in mind. As long as he toes the conservative line in Washington, I'd be happy to see Rubio on the ticket in 2016.
