Media downplays huge Hispanic protest against gay marriage

While the left demonized those damn white conservatives — evildoers like Miss California Carrie Prejean — as homophobes, a huge, mostly Hispanic crowd took to the streets of New York in opposition to Governor Patterson’s same-sex bill. The crowd, which some estimate at 20,000, gathered at the Governor’s Manhattan office, stretching from 35th to 40th Street on 3rd Avenue.

Welcome to the family, fellow right wing extremists.

  • The MSM keeps telling us that conservatives need to move left to "make the tent bigger." We need to compromise our principles because we don't seem to "have anything to offer minorities."
And yet, every time I hear the statistics, people of color oppose gay marriage and abortion more than other groups. So exactly what principle is it we're supposed to compromise in order to become more welcoming?

  • I was just wondering if the fact that New York State Senator Ruben Diaz, a Democrat, made an appearance at the rally had any influence on why this was not covered in the MSM. Just imagine what consternation it must cause people like Keith Olbermann, Janeane Garofalo, Bill Maher, Perez Hilton and their ilk to be confronted with a Hispanic Democrat appearing at a demonstration against gay marrige. It's just too funny and ironic to be believed.
