A new Pew Research poll shows that an increasing number of Americans (one in five) now believe Barack Obama is a Muslim. (NOTE: A Time poll also released Thursday says 24% of voters believe the President is a Muslim.)
New York Times writer Jeff Zeleney guested on MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown” to discuss the issue and he exposed the president as a part time holy roller, with more of his Sunday mornings spent tending to putting than praying.
No surprise to the American public there, but it was astounding to hear what the White House’s solution to the poll will be. Zeleney advised host Chuck Todd that Obama will now switch to campaign mode (at the 4:09 mark of the video).
“What does the president do almost every Sunday?” Zeleney asked. “He plays golf. I think now you’ll be seeing Obama go to church more, white churches, black churches, you name it churches, to show he is Christian.”
So Obama will limit his golf outings to attend Sunday services, not to pray and worship, but to make political hay. The president’s handicap isn’t nineteen, it’s his pandering.
Co-host Savannah Guthrie attempted to end the segment by reminding viewers that the poll was taken before the President’s remarks on the Ground Zero mosque, implying that the numbers might even be worse now. But cohost and White House water boy Todd couldn’t let the segment close on a negative note so he interrupted to tell viewers “The President gets a daily Bible verse sent to his Blackberry. Every. Single. Day.”
But tell us, Chuck, does he also get passages from the Koran? And which does he delete, which does he read?

As a Christian I am insulted that Obama may now consider attending church more regularly not for spiritual uplifting or grwoth, not for craving communion with God and like believers, but because the polls look bad. He is the President. If he thinks he is too disruptive to services he could attend less well attended services (like early morning) or hold church in the White House. The bottom line is Obama belongs to the Church of Obama. He narcissistic and manipulative, even in his claims of faith. There are still Chrisitans (and others) around the globe being tortured and killed foir their faith, and the best he can do is whatever is politically expedient.
Being "too disruptive" is simply a convenient excuse for not bothering to go to church. I don't see any of that concern when his motorcade disrupts traffic patterns, for hours at a time, when he's jetting around the country and the world on campaign stops or apology tours.
If he and his wife don't feel the need to go to church, that's one thang. But it's always bothered me that they have two young children that are being brought up not knowing the importance of faith...and are being fed the belief that the Church of Socialism can fill that void. I feel sorry for them...

That's just the problem...he went to The Church of the Poisoned Mind and people believe he's a Christian after sitting there for 20 years. Pathetic.
Il Duce faked Catholicism, so why is it such a stretch to think that Obama is no different?
No doubt. And some, who will insist on continuing to believe in BHO (empty suit), will believe the sham.BTW, I stumbled across a 2004 interview of BHO today and parsed a bit of it. You can reading my parsing HERE. Note BHO's 2004 statement about his mother's religion -- and how that statement conflicts with what he wrote later. Also note BHO's definition of "sin":
Obama may be a Christian or he may be a Muslim, but first and foremost he's
a leftist. His religious faith, whatever it is, is nominal---for consumption by the voters. As a leftist Obama keeps religion at distance and probably views it with detachment, mild amusement and scorn. He sees it as a tool.
As a boy and teenager the only religious instruction he had was Islamic, both his parents were agnostic and his stepfather provided for his religious education. When Obama moved to Chicago, he joined the Rev. Wright's church, probably to give him some street cred. Too, Wright's combination of liberation theology and black nationalism probably appealed to his leftist ideas.
Anyway, Obama will now be seen going to church with an occasional visit to a synagogue or mosque, he's very ecumenical, don't ya' know.
Why on earth would people think Obama is a muslim?

Go to church? B. Hussein? You think he would chance the wrath of those insufferable brats of his?
The Church of Golf? Isn't that Tiger Wood's church?
I agree with someone who mentioned in another place that he may be an atheist or else he may not care if there is G-d. There are people who believe there is a G-d but do not allow that to interfere with their plans of evil. Living for the moment and for what they can get now and not dwelling on the state of their souls and eternity is not an issue for them. I think perhaps this is the Obamas' case.
For them (especially him) it is a tool to be used when it best suits his needs. Overall I think he is DEFERENTIAL to Muslims and people of the Muslim faith because of his Father, his Father's family and his past.
A person doesn't need to go to church every Sunday to be a Christian, a Christian can still go into their "inner room" and pray, etc. However it is just ODD that as President of the country and after PROFESSING that he is a Christian, he doesn't seem to CARE ENOUGH to show it.
I have a feeling he worships himself, just saying...
I wouldn't doubt it danybhoy.
Why does he need any particular religion? I thought he was the Messiah, doesn't that mean he IS G-d in the flesh?
Obama does'nt have much use for religion, & he does'nt seem all that interested in religion, unless he can use it as a political tool.
