Here’s how the Guardian UK reports Obama’s release Wednesday of a new report on global warming:
“The Obama administration is poised for its most forceful confrontation with the American public on the sweeping and life-altering consequences of a failure to act on global warming with the release today of a long-awaited scientific report on climate change.”
And here’s how the same newspaper reports his response to the democratic movement in Iran:
“It’s not productive given the history of U.S.-Iranian relations to be seen as meddling.”
It’s also not productive, apparently, to have a backbone or core beliefs.

She is going to end up in a mass grave, probably in the near future - and just as in World War I & II and Cambodia etc, etc.. when people end up in mass graves they are mostly forgotten unless their side wins. Then they died not in vain.. of course, one can argue that no one who dies to advance human liberty ever dies in vain!
But if the West is lucky - I mean really lucky - this fire will take up and burn bright and will start breaking up the hegemony of the Imams and their ilk.
Ever read the early history of the Athenian democracy.. suddenly people just rise up and won't be silent & compliant any longer. They stormed the Acropolis, what inspired them to do that? They were pushed just so far.. Our own revolution or the awful French one.. Push, push push .. the breaking point comes, and then, the fire. It breaks my heart that we have Obama in office - if this happened last year this woman would be encouraged by, maybe even helped by the USA. Oh, well - What an Era!!!
I am sick and tried of the environmental movement and fear mongering of a eternal crisis state. I've always worked to care for my little patch of earth but this Administration is pushing ME too far. I think, but I do not know, that the American people will wake up when their own personal lives become smaller, controlled and they lose freedom after freedom to "save" the earth. One can just hope, right?
God help this brave women holding up this sign and screaming for her freedom.
What's to become of her and others like her who must know that they are now going to be targeted by the hardline muslims in that country. I wonder if the citizens of our Great Country have the same courage and convictions. I think of my children and especially my grand children.. will they have to scream for their freedom? I Pray to God that they won't.
