Oh, how far the mighty have fallen. There was a time, just two and a half short years ago, when the media would have hurt themselves laughing at any attempted witticism on the part of the funniest President in history.
No longer. Obama bombed in Washington, DC on Monday. He stunk up the joint.
“Back in the 80’s, Richard was also a five-time Jeopardy champion and a semi-finalist in the Tournament of Champions. Not too shabby,” President Obama said while announcing Richard Cordray’s nomination to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
“That’s why all his confirmation — all the answers at his confirmation hearings will be in a form of a question,” Obama said to silence.
(Sound of crickets)
“That’s a joke,” he reminded the audience.
And then he concluded with, “Richard just flew in from Ohio and, boy, are his arms tired.”

Judging by the comments, the people and devoted followers of IHTM are obviously irritated and over-caffeinated. I thought it was a pretty good line. But when your entire term in office has been a joke it gets harder to laugh.
It wasn't such a bad line. Delivered with some comic ability, it would have made people actually laugh a little. Delivered by this moron, it died on the floor in front of them.
I think stone faced Harry Reid could have told it better. Heck, Pelosi could've done it better except her eyeballs would likely have popped from her head if she tried to smile through all that cosmetic tinkering!!

Obama needs to get one of those electronic laugh signs they used to use in the live taping of 80's sitcoms like three's company. Then he just hits the button and all his sychophants can start giggling on cue.
Wow, he's finally scraped the bottom of the barrel. This guy has accomplished nothing in the 24 years since being on Jeopardy. He's had more jobs for shorter periods of time than anyone I know. I'd love to pose this one at confirmation; after reading a list of all his jobs and failed election bids since 1987 to the commitee.

I'm only 41 and don't consider myself conservative, but I miss Ronald Reagan. I didn't get political until I was 30 or so, but from what I've read I think we had a truly great President in RR.
Yeah I mean I was not even alive when he became President and everyone that has an opinion about it says the same thing. Just like everyone that has an opinon about it says that Carter is the worst President this side of WWII... well before Obama.
I am 49 and I remember Carter well. He is not the worst. What we have now is, IMO, because BHO is more destructive to the country. Carter did a lot of really stupid things (Panama Canal was really bad) but he also did one thing right: the Carter Doctrine was important because it ensured that if any country (read: Iran) disrupted the flow of oil out of the Strait of Hormuz, they would be annihilated. It worked. Still he was horrible.
