Ahhh, the Christmas season is upon us, that time of year when President Obama reminds us of our responsibilities to our fellow man and of his remarkable hypocrisy.
United Press International has the updated update:
The first family attended a Christmas fundraising event for the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington Sunday night.
President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha were greeted by children dressed as Santa’s elves when they arrived at the National Building Museum for the “Christmas in Washington” fundraiser taped by Turner Network Television for a Dec. 17 airing.
Obama wished everyone a “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,” recounted the Christmas story in the New Testament and urged people to think of others during holiday season.
“We are called to love each other as we love ourselves. We are our brother’s keeper and our sister’s keeper. It’s a message that guides my Christian faith,” he said.
Last we heard, Obama’s illegal alien Auntie Zeituni is still living in public housing in Boston and his brother George is still living in a 60-square foot hovel in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya.
Ahh, yes, Christmas. That time of year when socialists demonstrate that when they say “We are our brother’s keeper,” what they really mean is, “When I say ‘we,’ I mean everyone but me.”

What's a shame is that Hut Sweet Hut brother is still living on $20 yearly & Obummer vowed to get them schools built etc. They may not want to hold their breath on that one....Just sayin'

I guess Obama is one of those who thinks Jule's quote from the bible in Pulp Fiction is actually from the bible.

What he means is "You are my brothers keeper." If you conservatives wouldnt be so greedy, you would all send George some money. Of course, liberals have the old, "you should" followed by, "except me of course." (as the article states)
Yep, but in the lib playbook, "my brother's keeper" translates to "my brother's jailer" and brother translates to "funder of my re-election schemes".
Its a good time to re-read Atlas Shrugged. Not for the "philosophy" its noted for but the words of all the antagonist characters and what happens as the country falls apart. Amazingly precient.
Reread Atlas Shrugged in August. I was thinking the same thing, in fact. There is no denying the similarity.

You can tell that liberals don't read the Bible. Obama continually gets this wrong. It is not "I am my brother's keeper," it is "am I my brother's keeper" and was said by Cain to God when God asked him where Abel was. Cain said it to be sarcastic, as in he is ISN'T responsible for his brother, so it has the opposite meaning from what Obama is intending.
Yes i don't recall Jesus nor any apostle nor any OT prophet saying that at all. It was indeed a sarcastic comment by Cain after he killed his brother...
They are confusing that with Galatians 6:2 http://bible.cc/galatians/6-2.htm and even if they mean it like that it is an aberration of the true intentions of that passage.
