United Press International has the updated update:

The first family attended a Christmas fundraising event for the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington Sunday night.

President Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha were greeted by children dressed as Santa’s elves when they arrived at the National Building Museum for the “Christmas in Washington” fundraiser taped by Turner Network Television for a Dec. 17 airing.

Obama wished everyone a “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,” recounted the Christmas story in the New Testament and urged people to think of others during holiday season.

“We are called to love each other as we love ourselves. We are our brother’s keeper and our sister’s keeper. It’s a message that guides my Christian faith,” he said.

Last we heard, Obama’s illegal alien Auntie Zeituni is still living in public housing in Boston and his brother George is still living in a 60-square foot hovel in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya.

Ahh, yes, Christmas. That time of year when socialists demonstrate that when they say “We are our brother’s keeper,” what they really mean is, “When I say ‘we,’ I mean everyone but me.”

Translation: If I break into your house, you have the obligation to fix me dinner, let me drink your beer, and give me a nice warm bed, the keys to your car and a credit card.

President Obama has made $12 million in the last few years. He has a brother who lives in a shack in Nairobi and an aunt on welfare in Boston and expects you to pay for their upkeep.

It’s been a busy week here at IHateTheMedia.com and in all the excitement we may have missed the heartwarming scenes of President Obama greeting his closest living relative at his $50,000 a week beach house in Martha’s Vineyard.

What’s that? Auntie Zeituni hasn’t been invited to Martha’s Vineyard from her home in nearby Boston? The poor old lady must be horribly disappointed, because we hear she bought a new bikini and everything.

Doesn’t the President want his daughters to know their closest living relative? Doesn’t the President want America’s First Lady to spend some quality time with the Obama family’s First Lady? Doesn’t the President want to remind the American people that his favorite auntie is the face of illegal aliens in America?

Some family vacation this is.

To no one’s surprise, President Obama’s illegal alien aunt Zeituni Onyango has been granted political asylum. But to almost everyone’s surprise, she now looks and dresses exactly like Michael Jackson.

The New York Times reports the story of her new immigration status, but completely ignores the Michael Jackson transformation:

An immigration judge has granted asylum to President Obama’s aunt and will allow her to stay in the United States, her lawyers said Monday. She could become a citizen in about six years.

Zeituni Onyango, 57, who lives in public housing in Boston, is the half-sister of Mr. Obama’s late father and is from Kenya. She moved to the United States in 2000 on a valid visa and has been seeking asylum since 2002.

Judge Leonard Shapiro, an immigration judge in Boston, reached his decision in the long-running case on Friday. Her lawyers announced the decision Monday at their offices in Cleveland.

Ms. Onyango applied for asylum in 2002 and was rejected in 2004 and ordered to leave the country. She continued to fight the case and in April 2009, Judge Leonard Shapiro in Boston stayed her case until February, when hearings were held in the case.

Ms. Onyango had lived in relative anonymity in Boston until just before the 2008 presidential election, when The Times of London found her in what it described as “rundown public housing.”

Coincidentally, Zeituni’s nephew Barack had also been living in relative anonymity until just before the 2008 presidential election. He is also now living in public housing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but the conditions are considerably less run-down.

Obama’s Auntie Zeituni is deeply disappointed in her nephew. Just like most legal Americans.

This is a sad story. A very sad story, indeed. It looks like President Obama has abandoned his beloved Auntie Zeituni in her hour of greatest need.

The Associated Press tells the tragic tale:

President Barack Obama’s aunt buried her face in her hands and sobbed as she described her anguish over no longer having contact with him and his family after the revelation she had been living illegally for years in the United States in public housing.

Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUH’-nee awn-YAHN’-goh) told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview that she is troubled that her immigration woes have made her a political liability to her nephew.

Onyango, the half sister of Obama’s late father, said she has exiled herself from the family after attending Obama’s inauguration because she didn’t want to become fodder for his foes. Obama and his family have not reached out to her either, she said.

“Before, we were family. But right now, there is a lot of politics, and me, I am not interested in any politics at all,” said Onyango, whose appeal for asylum from her native Kenya is before an immigration judge in Boston.

The Obamas are her only family in the United States, she said.

“It is very sad when such a thing happens. There are people, outsiders, you know, they come in between, they divide a family,” she said last week. “It’s not easy.”

In related news, Obama has also abandoned every one of his campaign promises.
