President Obama vehemently disagrees with President Obama

obama-double-talk

Well, sure, he believes in free speech for Communists, but not so much for Republicans.

“Mr. Obama used the forum at Shanghai’s Museum of Science and Technology to make a plea for a free flow of information, saying it makes societies stronger and holds political leaders accountable. People in positions of power may bristle at criticism, he said, but open criticism ‘makes our democracy stronger, and it makes me a better leader because it forces me to hear opinions that I don’t want to hear.'”
– Wall Street Journal, November 16

“Speaking privately at the White House on Monday with a group of mostly liberal columnists and commentators, including Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC and Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich and Bob Herbert of The New York Times, Mr. Obama himself gave vent to sentiments about [Fox News Channel], according to people briefed on the conversation.”
– New York Times, October 23

  • Latest expedient smooth talk at West Point on Afghanistan, will leave all scratching our heads. The new double talk strategy, has something for everyone politically, so the Teflon Don, has clean hands either way. It’s either Bush’s fault or the Afghan people’s.

  • We can't manage security at a WH dinner, flu vaccine, Fort Hood, jobs, deficit or our troops, but oh yes UnAmericans, let us manage a Health Care Entitlement b/c your Gov't is filled w/ flakes, corruption and pork.

  • With such flapping appendages on both sides of his head, it's a mystery there's such difficulty hearing the American People. Bowing balance?

  • What obama attempted to do to Fox was an overt act designed to denigrate and delegitimize the organization – an organization that has the intestinal fortitude to investigate and report that which other so-called “news” organizations won’t touch on their own. Its much easier for them to hide behind the phrase “…a story broken by Fox News…” when reporting a story to protect them from liberal ire. Truly opinion-oriented “news” organizations break rank with obama when they use a Fox story, much to his chagrin. I am sure obama and his goons felt they had to put an end to that behavior and pull in the reigns on their propaganda outlets. In doing so, obama has attempted to impinge on free speech by trying to control it.

  • When has Obama done anything to impinge on free speech? You still have birthers on Fox saying he's an illegitimate President, you still have Beck spinning conspiracy theories off about how Obama is going to kidnap you from your bed and place you in a concentration camp. All that happened is they said they were going to keep this opinion journalism in mind when they engage with Fox News. In China there would NOT BE a Fox News and no one would be able to access World Net Daily. The government has done nothing to impede your right to see these sources other than criticize their inaccuracies. In fact the congress is passing legislation insuring that Internet Providers allow the same amount of bandwidth to access foxnews.com as msnbc.com

  • My Fellow American,

Free speech is only for responsible speech. We must be very careful as to what is said, as most Americans cannot discern truth from lies. The government is the best able to judge what can be said and what cannot. Trust me.

    Barack Hussein Obama,
President of the United States Of America
