Pence to the defense: Congressman excoriates Democrats for calling Tea Partiers “extremist”

Republican Congressman Mike Pence defends the Tea Party by doing something Democrats are loathe to do – he quotes the Founding Fathers.

Republican Congressman Mike Pence defends the Tea Party by doing something Democrats are loathe to do – he quotes the Founding Fathers. (Of course, libs think Franklin Roosevelt was the Founding Father, so it’s not surprising that they don’t quote Thomas Jefferson).

“Yesterday we learned of a new effort by Democrats in Washington to attack American citizens who speak their mind and peaceably assemble as ‘extremists or radicals.’ Demeaning tea party citizens, or other Americans who are simply saying ‘no’ to runaway spending, takeovers and bailouts, is beneath the dignity of a great political party and it smacks of desperation.”

And Pence was just getting warmed up.

Mike Pence asks Obama a rhetorical question: “Mr. President, whose side are you on?”

Mr. President, whose side are you on? After 17 months of isolating Israel and after 17 months of cozying up to her enemies, it seems like a reasonable but rhetorical question. And we’re glad Mike Pence had the balls to stand up in the House of Representatives and ask it.

Mr. President, whose side are you on? After 17 months of isolating Israel and after 17 months of cozying up to her enemies, it seems like a reasonable but rhetorical question. And we’re glad Mike Pence had the balls to stand up in the House of Representatives and ask it.

Here’s the complete transcript of Pence’s comments:

“We all grieve the loss of life that occurred last week when a flotilla designed to challenge Israel’s effective blockade of Gaza ended in military confrontation. But Israel has a right to defend itself.

“The history is clear in that region; Gaza is controlled by a terrorist organization known as Hamas. Hamas used Gaza as a launching pad for thousands of rockets that killed innocent civilians in Israel. Israel responded with military force and has instituted a blockade that has saved lives in Gaza and in Israel. And there’s no humanitarian crisis. Ten thousand tons of food and medical supplies are transferred into Gaza every single week.

“Remarkably, yesterday the president said it was time for Israel to sharply limit its effective blockade in Gaza, saying ‘the situation in Gaza is unsustainable.’
“The truth is, Mr. President, your policy in Israel is unsustainable.

“The American people are on the side of Israel and Israel’s right to defend herself.

“Mr. President, whose side are you on?”

Yup, we’re pretty sure that’s a rhetorical question.

Duh! Pence tells House that Americans shouldn’t bail out Europe’s failed socialist states.

Of course, liberals will undoubtedly disagree with Republican leader Mike Pence, because they seem to think it’s the American taxpayers’ responsibility to subsidize friends, foes, strangers, aliens from other planets and even California.

Of course, liberals will undoubtedly disagree with Republican leader Mike Pence, because they seem to think it’s the American taxpayers’ responsibility to subsidize friends, foes, strangers, aliens from other planets and even California.

Here’s one of the reasons Pence 2012 bumper stickers are popping up around the country:

“Our country is weary of borrowing and spending and bailouts from Washington, D.C. so the American people deserve to know we are bailing out Greece and future Americans may be picking up the tab for as much as $50 billion in additional loan guarantees for the rest of Europe in the form of a bailout.

“Here’s how it works. The European Union’s members and the IMF recently pledged $145 billion in the Greek bailout. Forty billion dollars of that came from the International Monetary Fund. Since the United States pays 17 percent, we are the largest contributor to the IMF. American taxpayers are on the hook for $6.8 billion in loan guarantees from the IMF and it may just be a down payment.

“The EU this last weekend talked about a $1 trillion bailout plan that could put U.S. taxpayers on the hook for $50 billion in additional loan guarantees to bail out Europe.

“Look, the EU was formed to compete with the U.S.A., economically. It is simply not right to ask the people of the United States of America to provide loan guarantees to bail out an economic competitor in Europe. Nobody wants to see the EU fail, but we are not asking their help in New Jersey or California. They shouldn’t be asking our help with Portugal, Spain, or Greece.”

American taxpayers shouldn’t support Europe’s faild socialist states? Why this Pence person is obviously a right wing wacko.

Mike Pence can’t stop laughing when Democrats claim they cut taxes

Mike Pence (R-IN) couldn’t stop laughing when Democrats tried to claim they’ve cut taxes.

Mike Pence (R-IN) couldn’t stop laughing when Democrats tried to claim they’ve cut taxes.

“I just happened to wonder, Mr. Speaker, about the American people looking in this morning to hear Democrats saying they cut taxes more than any other congress in history. Let me see if we can do this. They passed a budget with record taxes and spending, add a trillion dollars to the national debt in the next 10 years, they passed a national energy tax called the cap and trade that will cause utility rates to go up…

And we just passed Obamacare with $600 billion of tax increases, (laughs) and they’re standing in front of the American people on the day before tax day, on the day before tens of millions of Americans are gonna take to the streets and say enough is enough and expect you to believe they been cutting taxes I think the American people know better … Let’s cut taxes across the board. Get government out of the way. This economy will come roaring back.”

Coming up next on “open mic night” at the comedy club: Democrats claim they’ve made us safer from terrorism.
