Chris Matthews doesn’t like the way Texas Governor Rick Perry uses his hands. No, really.

The idea tank is running on empty over at MSNBC. Chris Matthews is out of reasons to badmouth conservatives.

The idea tank is running on empty over at MSNBC. Chris Matthews is out of reasons to badmouth conservatives. He’s used stupid and evil and racist and sexist, so now he’s forced to get a bit more creative in his criticism.

That being said, “He makes funny hand motions” seems pretty weak.

C’mon, Chris, you didn’t have any problem with the way Anthony Weiner used his hands.

Run, Rick, run: Texas Governor Rick Perry sounds like a man running for President

When Rick Perry spoke to the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans the crowd seemed to sense that there was something different about this guy.

We’re all – all of us except the Ron Paul fanatics, that is – looking for a Republican candidate who can get us excited about his or her candidacy. And we’re all having a little trouble finding that person, because all our choices seem a bit flawed.

Maybe Texas Governor Rick Perry is the answer. He looks presidential. He has a big success story to tell. He has a big stack of Texas electoral votes in his pocket. And when he spoke to last weekend’s Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans the crowd seemed to sense that there was something different about this guy.

He sounded like the kind of candidate we could support when he said, “Our opponents on the left are never going to like us, so let’s quit trying to curry favor with them!”

By the time he left the stage, the crowd was on their feet chanting, “Run, Rick, Run!” We agree with the crowd.

Here’s his entire speech. All 25 inspiring minutes of it.

Texas Governor Rick Perry: Ponzi was a piker compared to the people who created Medicare

Texas Governor Rick Perry was a guest on Fox News Sunday and told Chris Wallace that Medicaid is such a huge Ponzi scheme that, “It would even make Mr. Ponzi feel bad if he were still alive today.”

As a side note, doesn’t Perry look like he should be laying on hands, screaming, “Heal,” and making cripples walk in a big, drafty tent set up somewhere on the outskirts of town?

Texas governor says Obama’s making America socialist, foreign Communists seem to agree

Texas Governor Rick Perry didn’t mince words in a recent speech: “This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a socialist country.”

Texas Governor Rick Perry didn’t mince words in a recent speech:

“This is an administration hell-bent on taking America towards a socialist country.”

While American leftists find this comment shocking, foreign leftists seem to agree with Perry.

Breitbart.com reports:

The Chinese have learned English from his speeches and celebrated the way he rolls up his sleeves. Now President Barack Obama is finally coming, and he’s being greeted with “Oba Mao” T-shirts and a statue of him that bursts into flames.

The Associated Press reveals that Fidel Castro has a man crush on Obama and warmly welcomes him to the ranks of Communist leaders. Or his boudoir. We’re not sure which Castro wants more.

Fidel Castro appears to have a fascination with the American leader that would make Obama Girl jealous, writing obsessively not only about his politics, but of his youth and vigor.

And unlike with past American heads-of-state — he slammed President George W. Bush as a genocidal drunk — Castro seems to genuinely like the fresh face in Washington.

Since handing over the Cuban presidency to his brother in February 2008, the 83-year-old has continued to publish his thoughts in essays called “Reflections of Comrade Fidel,” which are dutifully printed in state media and read repeatedly on government-controlled radio and television.

Hardly a week goes by without a mention of his nemesis to the north, the most recent on Thursday. In an opinion piece that took up an entire newspaper page, Castro waxed philosophic about everything from Obama’s Asia trip to his prospects for re-election.

Last month, Castro pronounced it a good thing that the American president was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In September, he termed Obama’s call-to-action on global warming courageous.

See, Obama is bringing people together. Who ever thought an evil Republican fascist racist homophobe like Rick Perry would find himself agreeing with Fidel Castro, the wise elder of the “progressive” movement?
