You know what's fun? As I travel around to different areas, I use a variety of different Wi-Fi servers, and each one allows me to go back and thumb down any posting by My Dear Sweet Olivia again if I so desire. She was SUCH a dummy. I kinda miss patting her on her pointy little head and dismissing her as an ignorant dufus.

Whew, I was right on the money with Olivia. After waiting for her response (and the one from Mr Olivia) I could not have called it any better. Personality disorder, panicked about her view not being accepted, unable to substantiate her claims, victim mentality, blames others for racial bias while constantly outlining her own bias against anyone conservative...But I was wrong about one thing, It's not a personality disorder, she has serious mental issues, and I really wonder if she works in a hospital or is a patient in one. Something to think about. I am thinking the in-patient thing is probably more realistic.

Being a relative newcomer to IHTM, I really love this site. The folks here are straightforward, and have that "I call Bullshit when I see it attitude". With the exception of one...We all know that would be Olivia. If you permit me to use some skills learned long ago from some very high profile criminal investigators, I think you might get a kick out of a profile of Olivia based on her written word.
Now I am not the brightest light bulb in the case, I enjoy reading everyone's posts waiting for that WOW moment. And there are numerous ones every day. For me I enjoy poking fun at politicos, especially those liberal ones with some serious personality disorders. And that brings me to our favorite liberal.
After reading her stuff, I would venture to say that Olivia is an unhappy woman, perhaps trapped in a failed marriage, bad career choice, and some kind of traumatic event in her life. She is one of those people who has a large hole in her life because she never really figured out what life had to offer. She Thinks she is doing all the right things. And because she has no love for life outside of this website, she now feels compelled to right the wrongs that she sees. Those wrongs to her are conservatives. At some point she made a giant leap of faith, more than likely in 2008 behind Obama. Since she works in Chicago, it is more than likely that her parents or other influential family member was a democrat politician. She based her whole life on this, more than likely excluding her friends, and family. She felt that this was her goal, so she started visiting websites like the KOS and Mother Jones. Both of which are very skewed to the left and border sometimes on insanity. She found this website more than likely by accident and decided her "mission" was to correct everyone here at all times. She cuts and pastes because she has no real deep down beliefs in what she is doing, other than pigeon-holing all conservatives as racist, biased, haters who all live in a trailer park somewhere.
She feels the need to show her intelligence to all with posts that are off topic a lot but to her they are someone related and prove her point. The problem is there is no point just raving. This is more than likely from her inability to control everyone and everything around her. I am sure Mr Olivia is subservient to her and her beliefs and wishes, not an equal partner in the marriage by any means.
For example, when she wrote about going out with her "friends" and she enjoyed grossing people out with medical talk, that says a lot. She feels the need to control all conversations, and can not stand the fact that others may not be interested in what she has to say. She is Hyper-vigilant, always on the lookout for someone to challenge.
I would also bet that at work she has a VERY small group of friends, and these are the type of people that think they are stand up comedian funny and always laugh at their own jokes because they are insecure. She is gonna hate me for this but I imagine her body image has a lot to do with that, probably overweight to some extent.
She is facing a crisis right now because she put all her energy, time and talent into supporting Obama and anyone who dares to criticize him is automatically a racist. She can not and does not have the ability to process the fact that the man is simply a bad president with no leadership skill. No matter the color.
She lases out at several bloggers here with almost a fetish like vengeance. And as my dear departed Mom use to say jokingly when I was a kid, "I may not always be right, but by gosh I am never wrong". She was joking but in Olivia's case this sadly this is an actual belief.
What causes the personality disorder is anyone's guess, bad relationships, bad parents, a trauma, or like I mentioned before, a life that has no meaning or purpose.
I would also be willing to bet a MMPI or CPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Index/ California Personality Index) would show some serious hangups about trusting people and the ability to basically work and play well with others. I doubt there is an actual mental illness, but since I am profiling from afar I may be wrong.
She will continue to blog here because she gets a response, in her mind the A-Ha moment leading her to believe she is scoring points, when sadly she is only making a fool of herself. Our direct lack of a response should prove interesting and we may actually witness a small explosion of the rage that lies just below the surface.
Her behavior is not much different from the criminals I deal with daily in investigations, where they have the "victim" mentality. Her political beliefs and leaders are now the victims in her mind and she is defending them (not very well) with what limited skills she has.
She is symptomatic of what is wrong with liberals in today's society. They will go to their grave believing they are right, no matter how wrong they are. Typically these are the people that get a traffic ticket and go to court claiming to be a victim of racial prejudice, profiling, bad luck or some other excuse. Even after being found guilty, they will argue because they can not except the truth, because in conflicts with their value system, wheat they have been told and what they believe.
An extreme version of some one like this would be Al Sharpton, or even Adolph Hitler. I am sure that is going to get someone fired up comparing the two. But think about it, same as Olivia, A belief that they are following destiny, and will never be wrong, and only they are enlightened enough to show the rest of us the path. Altho I think Sharpton and Hitler has some SERIOUS mental problems.
So to the majority of you who blog here, keep it up, your a funny, very smart group of independent thinkers who provide some eye opening conversations.
I thought you might get a kick out of a profile of Olivia, I am sure this is gonna come back and bite me in the ass but it was fun, it is what I have been trained to do and in 25 years, I hardly ever miss the mark.

I just rewatched the video and I dont know how you can conclude that the thugs were black. They may have been African immigrants but they could also have been Arabs. 1) We don't know specifically why the woman was filming there, or whether she was on private property, so it's impossible to know whether the men were justified in telling her to get out.
2) If I were to try the same thing in, say, gang territory on the south side of Chicago, I suspect I'd get the same reaction. And, having gotten that reaction, it would be far more prudent to go away than to stand there and argue about it.
3) The men were not abusive or threatening (although it was tasteless of that one guy to make that remark about her being "hot." That kind of behavior, however, is not unique to Muslims. I've see white men behave just as badly, and I'm sure you have, too.
4) You have absolutely no evidence that these men were speaking for all area Muslims (assuming that they were Muslims). That's like seeing a film of Hispanic gang members intimidating someone, and assuming that the local Catholic priest put them up to it.

Might have something to do with those few new posters (rather than the usual suspects) who have taken her to task over the past day or two. I offer Kudos to them! Their use of calm, pointed and referenced arguments may have tipped the poor girl's gyro farther than it has ever been tipped before. Maybe because the men in the video didn't wish to have their privacy invaded? I don't know, and neither do you. But I do know that not everyone is comfortable with total strangers (journalists or otherwise) just walking up and filming them, and refusing to go away when asked to.
This video gave no clue to why the woman was filming them or why she wouldn't leave when asked. Let's be honest here: if it had been a group of Tea Party people, and the person filming them had been a liberal reporter, you would have thought it was just fine for them to request that she go point her camera elsewhere.

When I read what Rose said, I had no trouble whatsoever comprehending what she was saying. You, on the other hand, seemed to have a problem understanding that she was stating that, for quite a long time in this country, women who claimed to have been raped were often blamed for the crime.
Maybe their skirt was too short, maybe they showed a bit too much cleavage, or wore too much makeup. These were considered to be an admission of being a "loose" woman in some courtrooms around the country, leading to the assumption that they were "asking for it," thereby excusing the act of the violent criminal.
Rose never at any time condoned that attitude, but that was, of course, your assumption, since you also assume that she is a backwards kind of person. Obviously, since she isn't a "progressive" kind of woman, like you.
There are many places around the world, right now, in the 21st century, where those backwards attitudes still exist, and are even more severe than they were here in the past. In some countries, a woman that is brazen enough to show her face in public, even without makeup, or maybe to venture outside her home without the escort of a male family member, is considered to be "asking for it." And if a man were to see her in such a condition, and not be in the mood for a goat or small boy at the time, he can do as he wishes with her, and have no fear of the law. If she even mentions it to anyone, she will be stoned to death, or have her head removed.
Of course, these are the countries and people that have your full support.
As I noted in my posts, that IS how rape was prosecuted for years. Personally, I think a woman should be able to walk down mainstreet in the nude and be left alone. But the bottom line is that there is a percentage of men who feel that women "ask for it" like anyone would ask for the pain, humiliation and psychological problems caused by rape.

As Rose mentioned, (she actually reads things), I WAS referring to the "toys" that you mentioned. You know, the ones that bring such joy to children of all ages, regardless of race, sexuality, religion, or political persuasion. My big vehicle is necessary just to be able to haul around my "toys."
Rose was pretty close when she called six feet, but that's my little one, Freya. She's 6'6" tall, weighing in around 800 pounds. The big one, Vlad, is 7'8" to the top of his ears, and weighs in the neighborhood of 1,000 pounds. Yes, he could quite easily crush your "smart" car. We don't even want to think of what the truck I drive would do to the "smart" car. Oh, and the truck gets around 22 mpg on diesel, which is pretty respectable for such a useful vehicle.
As for my not trying to fix my overweight situation? I am currently on the eleventh day of a 90 day workout challenge with my lady and a large group of our friends, (communicating on FB), and have lost four pounds so far. When the 90 days is up, I intend to continue on until I have a total loss of 70 pounds. Want to try to compete with me on the stationary bike? Or perhaps a real bicycle? I know a super gnarly single-track in the hills nearby. Of course, we have no idea of your physical condition. You keep your identity hidden. I, on the other hand, have no shame.

OK, I just watched the clip again, in full screen.
First, you cannot tell if they are black, white, or purple! It is too dark, they are not shooting the men's faces, and the one part of the clip that faces might have been visible, they were pixellated.
Second, they were on a street and sidewalk, they have no right to keep anyone from filming in public.
Third, at about 29 seconds in, there is a man that takes his hand out of his pocket for a moment. That hand looked white to me.
