We must have been napping when the American Muslims rose as one and took that noble stand against terrorism, because we completely missed it. But it must have happened, because President Obama said so and he wouldn’t lie.
The Associated Press fills in the blanks in our memory. And probably yours, too:
The White House on Sunday praised American Muslims for helping fight violent extremism, but a House leader on terrorism issues said they aren’t cooperating enough with law enforcement to counter the radicalization of young followers by al-Qaida-linked groups.
Deputy National Security Adviser Denis McDonough, speaking at an interfaith forum at a Northern Virginia mosque, commended its members for taking “an unequivocal stand against terrorism.”
“You’ve sent a message that those who perpetrate such horrific attacks do not represent you or your faith, and that they will not succeed in pitting believers of different faiths against one another,” McDonough said.
We’re picturing members of the mosque looking around at each other and saying, “Whatchu talking about, Denis?”

Every-time you shop at most gas station/stores you are supporting terrorism. Being a vast majority of them are owned by Middle Eastern families, that are probably linked somehow to terrorism. I found it very suspicious, that after the Trade Center attacks, many of these gas stations closed their doors and vanished. I think we should fight terrorism from the Inside-Out and not the Outside-In. The United States, I am afraid, is setting itself up for failure by continuing to spread itself thin.
And this was started way before Obama took office. Remember the 80's and Early 90's, when Bush, cut our Military in a reduction act? Reducing the size of our Military should never happen in my opinion.
Then after the reduction we started deploying to the Middle East for Desert Storm/Shield. Once it was over, we had another strength reduction. The Clinton years had several blunders but during his years we did build up our military and equipment.
Then here comes Afghanistan, Iraq and on and on under a new President. So each President has had its own share of problems We got to remember they are human and made bad calls.
However, the more involved in those areas the less defense we have in our own backyard.
As a Combat Veteran, one of the oldest tactics for defeating the enemy is diversion! This is exactly what is happening I am afraid. God Bless

This has never happened. It is very few pockets of individual groups or people not an overwhelming majority not in the US and certainly not worldwide. He is smoking something.
When the sons of islam get their backpack nuke or other WMD to go off in an American city, then you will see the American people rise up ans unleash their holy rath on them.
It will make all other forms of oppression and hatred pale in comparison.

I've seen Christians denounce Tim McVeigh, just because the media portrayed him as Christian. He wasn't, but I guess that's irrelevant.
He wasn't a conservative either and conservatives overall denounced that he was deemed one, when that was not the case.
