Don't get it.. Ed didn't react oddly to news of this guy packing at all, and prefaced it by stating his ownership of guns. He owns guns like I own guns. He didn't question this guy's assertion that he'd have fire his if he had to

Well what I find odd is the total lack of reaction. ed could have (had he wanted to) decimated this guy for saying he almost shot the wrong guy, but then Joe didn't shoot so that would lead no where. Ed could have restated his argument that gun control was necessary for veterans and mentally ill, but then it would have been construed as an attack on the hero. He did what most intelligent (debatable) journalists do, and be quiet, let the story unfold lest you bring a heap o' trouble back on yourself!!

Apparently there's a good bit of misunderstanding about personal responsibility. As such, it is imperative for any conservative who debates a liberal, to develop an understanding of a core tenet of the Democrat Party-- the Doctrine of No Faultness. Anything you say isn't your fault so by definition, if someone did something in response to your statement, it wasn't their fault that they reacted to something that wasn't your fault. So, the real culprit is the person who made you make the original statement that wasn't your fault. Unless, or course, that person was also a Democrat. In that case, the "chain of no faultness" continues until it falls on a conservative.
