10 companies that must be put out of business to save innocent American lives

How many innocent American lives will be lost because of the violent rhetoric found in the names of these companies? How many? These ten must be put out of business immediately.

How many innocent American lives will be lost because of the violent rhetoric found in the names of these companies? How many?

As Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnick will tell you, it’s only a matter of time before some deranged individual is driven to violence by these extreme right wing hate talk contained in these corporate names. Why, we wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out that all these companies are sponsors on the Rush Limbaugh Show.

Send us photos of extreme right wing hate talk company names in your town. We’ll add them to the list. Send them to [email protected].

British wanker suggests that free speech is the problem and chains are the solution

Apparently the news that crazed nutter Jared Loughner was a psychopath fond of leftist philosophy hasn’t made it across the pond nor to the desk of one Simon Jenkins, former editor of the Times of London.

Apparently the news that crazed nutter Jared Loughner was a psychopath fond of leftist philosophy hasn’t made it across the pond nor to the desk of one Simon Jenkins, former editor of the Times of London.

simon-jenkins
Insufferable British prig Simon Jenkins shoots off his mouth (Please pardon our violent rhetoric, Simon)

Sit back and enjoy as this man makes a fool of himself through his opinion piece at the Guardian UK:

Today’s culprit is freedom of speech, or at least the speech of the American right and its broadcast cheerleaders. Shock-jock radio presenters feed on biased television news to present a view of the world divided between goodies and baddies. The baddies are always on the brink of victory and must be confronted with virile aggression. Language that might not disturb a balanced mind can clearly stimulate and legitimise an unbalanced one.

Seriously, Mr. Jenkins, if you are looking to save this country from people who have the nerve to express a opinion different from yours, then perhaps you’d be interested in joining a new organization called Friends Against Speech Crime In Society Today.

It meets weekly in Keith Olberman’s mother’s basement to discuss how free will and personal choice have become dangerous to our democracy. Members also discuss how best to silence dissenters and make sure that actions undertaken by the individual do not diverge from the larger will of the all mighty community. You’re guaranteed to have a goose-stepping good time!

RSVP now so they can be sure to have a brown shirt and pair of jackboots waiting for you at the door.

We suggest some alternate call letters and slogans for Tucson television station KGUN

“KGUN. On your side,” the station’s current call letters and slogan must be changed. And since we’re the ones who pointed out the lurking danger in KGUN’s call letters, we feel it’s also our responsibility to suggest new call letters and slogans.

As highly-trained mental health professionals, we have determined that the call letters of Tucson television station KGUN were the straw that broke the back of young Jared Loughner’s mind (ignore the mixed metaphor, damn it. We said we are highly-trained mental health professionals, not professional writers). You can see that analysis in our accompanying article here.

We demand – and we’re sure that all right-thinking Americans join us in this demand – that KGUN change its call letters so that it will no longer provoke young Arizona psychotics into violence.

kgun-news-team
KGUN News. Shooting our mouths off at 5, 6 and 11.

“KGUN. On your side,” the station’s current call letters and slogan must be changed. And since we’re the ones who pointed out the lurking danger in KGUN’s call letters, we feel it’s also our responsibility to suggest new call letters and slogans for this unfortunately named Tucson TV station. Like these:

KPOW. Explosive news every night at 6 o’clock!
KILL. Hard-hitting news that’ll wipe out the competition!
KA47. Rapid fire news!
KOPS. We’re watching you watch us!
KAAP. We be busting news bullets all day, homie!
KASS. It takes one to watch one!
KOOK. That voice in your head is us!
KISS. Keep It Stupid, Socialists!
KNIF. We got your back!
KRAP. Bringing you the straight poop!
KEPT. The official news channel of John Kerry!

One other suggestion: KGUN really needs to stop carrying “Wipeout” Monday nights at 8:00. It may well be that Jared Loughner heard a network promotion that combined the words “Wipeout” and “GUN” in the same sentence just before his killing spree.

Makes as much sense as the theory that he was pushed over the edge by the image of crosshairs on a website he never visited.

Feel free to contribute your own suggested call letters and slogans.

The Smoking KGUN: We’ve discovered what really triggered Jared Loughner’s psychosis

Call us slow, but we just realized that the call letters of the ABC-TV affiliate in Tucson are KGUN. That means every time they do a station identification on the hour and half hour, they use violent rhetoric by spelling the word G-U-N. Gun.

Oh, wait. We can’t say “trigger.” That’s now defined as violent rhetoric. So please allow us to amend our headline so that it neither offends the innocent nor motivates the insane. How about:

“Call us armchair psychiatrists, but we think we’ve stumbled upon Jared Loughner’s motivation.”

There. That’s better. Much better. There’s certainly nothing dangerous nor threatening in that sentence. So now that our headline has been politically corrected, let’s proceed with our exposé.

Call us slow (you’ve certainly called us worse), but we just realized that the call letters of the ABC-TV affiliate in Tucson are KGUN.

KGUN-banner

That means every time they do a station identification on the hour and half hour, they use violent rhetoric by spelling the word G-U-N. Gun. A firearm. A personal weapon of mass destruction. A mindless, heartless instrument of death.

Sarah Palin and her little crosshairs pale in comparison to this subliminal message. This television station is clearly, solely responsible for young Jared Loughner’s actions. Just imagine what life must have been like for a lad who grew up in Tucson hearing the constant repetition of this irresponsible station’s violent call letters for 22 years. We contend that this is what finally drove young Jared Loughner over the edge. If, as liberals say, the mere sight of crosshairs is enough to incite violence, what must the gun-gun-gun drumbeat have done to the lad?

gun-barrel
KGUN...KGUN...GUN...GUN...GUN...GUN

But wait. Why hasn’t anyone in the mainstream media mentioned these call letters until now? They blamed Sarah Plain. They blamed Rush Limbaugh. They blamed Glenn Beck. They blamed the Tea Party. They blamed common images on a lightly-visited website. But we’ve neither heard nor seen KGUN blamed on the nightly network newscasts nor trumpeted in the New York Times.

Is it really possible that an army of Fourth Estate types from around the world descended on Tucson and yet not one of them ever noticed that the call letters of the local ABC-TV affiliate contain the word GUN? Is it really possible that the same people who were perceptive enough to recognize the danger of showing crosshairs on a website Jared Loughner had probably never visited were not perceptive enough to notice that a station he grew up watching uses the word GUN every time it identifies itself? Is it really possible that they believe that Palin’s crosshairs image was powerful enough to set off Loughner’s psychosis, but were simultaneously able to ignore KGUN’s blatant call to violence?

Or was there, perhaps, an agenda that led them to attack Palin et al while simultaneously protecting one of their own?

For the sake of Tucson’s future, for the sake of Tucson’s safety, for the sake of Tucson’s troubled youth, we demand that KGUN change it’s call letters immediately. We hope you’ll join us in this effort.

Also see our companion article, “We suggest some alternate call letters and slogans for Tucson television station KGUN.”

CNN host apologizes for using the C-word on the air

No, not that C-word. A completely different C-word. One that had never required an apology until ten days ago.

CNN’s John King:

“Before we go to break, I want to make a quick point. We were having a discussion about the Chicago mayoral race just a moment ago. My friend Andy Shaw used the term ‘in the crosshairs’ in talking about the candidates. We’re trying, we’re trying to get away from that language. Andy is a good friend, he’s covered politics for a long time, but we’re trying to get away from that kind of language. We won’t always be perfect. So hold us accountable when we don’t meet your standards.”

As you can see in this 1986 commercial, such violent rhetoric is nothing new at CNN. To the best of our knowledge, every CNN star in this commercial for “Crossfire” was assassinated because their participation in a show with such a violent name and for contributing to the nation’s violent discourse.

Top ten things that must be banned to stop awful stuff from happening

Our top ten things – other than thought, speech, emotions and expression – that must be banned if we are to stop awful stuff from happening.

If the liberal arbiters of tolerance are to be believed then the most natural response to a crazed leftist shooting a blue-dog Democrat is the suppression of the opinions they — the liberals — disagree with. Under the normal circumstances we might feel obliged to challenge this position.

jodie-foster
Must be banned!

For example, we might suggest that the free exchange of ideas is healthy to a democracy. Or that ideology did not lead to the shooting in Tucson. But we’ll suspend our pesky devotion to reason this go round. And instead we will present the following:

Our top ten things — other than thought, speech, emotions and expression — that must be banned if we are to stop awful stuff from happening.

Jodie Foster – John Hinkley shot Ronald Reagan and James Brady because he wanted to impress Jodie Foster. Jodie Foster must be banned.

Jews – Sirhan Sirhan assassinated RFK because he hated Jews. Jews must be banned.

twinkies
Must be banned!

Twinkies – Dan White’s over-indulgence in Twinkies caused him to kill Harvey Milk and George Moscone. Twinkies must be banned.

Love – Brutus knifed Julius Caesar in the balls because he loved Rome more. Love must be banned.

Gravity – All the passengers of Pan Am Flight 109 died when a bomb on their plane exploded and it fell in pieces on the ground. Gravity must be banned.

Freedom – Nearly a hundred million people died during the 20th century because they would not acquiesce to the slavery that socialists like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin thrust upon them. They wanted to be free. Socialism is incompatible with freedom. Freedom must be banned.

redwood-tree
Must be banned!

Trees – In 1975 Squeaky Fromm attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford with a Colt .45 Model 1911 A. Fromm’s potential violence was rooted in her concern for the plight of the noble redwood tree. Trees must be banned.

Directions – John Wilkes Booth fatally shot Abraham Lincoln because he objected to the way he was leading the country and because he had a problem with the North. Booth had issues with directions. Directions must be banned.

Reason – In 1912 psycho John Schrank sought to end the life of, by then, former President Theodore Roosevelt. Schrank never really gave a reason for his actions. Reason must be banned.

Books – After Mark David Chapman assassinated John Lennon he claimed that his defense for the heinous act could be found in the J.D. Salinger book Catcher in the Rye*. Books must be banned.

*Interestingly, Catcher in the Rye has has already been banned many times in many places.

Evil rightwing website endorses killing you, us, everyone

If we weren’t exceptionally strong individuals with high moral standards and unimpeachable characters, WeaselZippers’ heated visual rhetoric might have inspired us to commit unthinkable, unspeakable acts.

WeaselZippers.us used to be one of our favorite websites. Until, that is, we realized that they were advocating violence.

If we weren’t exceptionally strong individuals with high moral standards and unimpeachable characters, WeaselZippers’ heated visual rhetoric might have inspired us to commit unthinkable, unspeakable acts.

As you can see, WeaselZippers features a target on its home page. That’s right, a target!

weasel-zippers

By using this hideous image, WeaselZippers.us is obviously calling for the overthrow of the United States government, the assassination of prominent politicians and innocent civilians, and, of course, attempting to subliminally influence the criminally insane to carry out acts of violence on its behalf.

Oh, sure, they will undoubtedly say they were just trying to sell a little ad space, but we believe our readers are smart enough to see through this clever right wing lie.

We beg each and every one of you not to visit this extreme right wing, racist, homophobic, sexist site until it removes this invitation to assassination from its header.

Have you no shame, WeaselZippers? Have you no shame?

White House says it was surprised at the applause during Obama’s Tucson speech. Photo says otherwise.

When asked about the numerous outbursts of applause during President Obama’s speech at the Tucson memorial service, Press Secretary Roert Gibbs claimed on Thursday that they were a complete surprise to the good folks in the White House.

UPDATE: What do you think? Is the “Applause” indicator in this image a prompt for the audience or is it closed captioning for the hearing impaired?

Now that so many people have brought up the second possibility, we not sure. Either way the question remains: Why were people applauding at a memorial service?

That leaves us with two options: Either the prompt was horribly inappropriate or the audience was horribly inappropriate. Take your choice.

If it turns out to be closed captioning, we apologize to Robert Gibbs. If it turns out to be an applause prompt, we apologize to the friends and families of the victims on behalf of the audience.

When asked about the numerous outbursts of applause during President Obama’s speech at the Tucson memorial service, Press Secretary Roert Gibbs claimed on Thursday that they were a complete surprise to the good folks in the White House.

“I will say that I read the speech several times and thought that there wouldn’t be a lot of applause if any. I think many of us thought that. But I think there was a celebration, again, of the lives of those who had been impacted. Not just at that grocery store but throughout the country. And I think that, if that is part of the healing process, then that’s a good thing.”

But this photo shows the crowd was responding to built-in applause instructions. Kind of like when Oprah’s audience goes wild at her every word.

 tucson Obama speech Applause

In the words of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, “Who you gonna believe – me or your lying eyes?”

Excuse our incredulity, Robert, but if you read the script you saw the “Pause for applause” instructions scattered throughout. Couldn’t have missed them.

In the words of Judge Judy, “Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.”

Heated rhetoric: Barney Frank jokes about assassinating Dick Cheney

Oh, that Barney Frank. What a cut-up. What a card. What a wild and crazy guy. Why, no one can crack a joke about assassinating the Vice President of the United States like this guy.

Jared Loughner went to a high school that teaches unrepentant terrorist William Ayers’ curriculum

We’re not saying there’s any connection between William Ayers curriculum and the Tucson shooting spree, because as far as we know the school hasn’t produced any other mass murderers, but this is kind of interesting nonetheless.

"Teach your children well, their father's hell did slowly go by..."

WorldNetDaily.net has the details:

Jared Lee Loughner, the suspected gunman in Saturday’s Arizona shooting, attended a high school that is part of a network in which teachers are trained and provided resources by a liberal group founded by Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers and funded by President Obama, WND has learned.

The group, Small Schools Workshop, has been led by a former top communist activist who is an associate of Ayers. Obama provided the group with funds in the 1990s when he worked at an education reform group alongside Ayers.

loughner-mugshot
Jared Loughner, a successful graduate of the William Ayers Academy of Advanced Liberal Studies

Loughner attended Mountain View High School, which is part of Arizona’s Morana Unified School District. Since 2003, Mountain View has been part of what is known as the Smaller Learning Community, a network of schools that have been restructured to create a more personalized learning environment where students often have the same teachers and fellow students from grade to grade.Mountain View was part of the Smaller Learning Communities throughout Loughner’s entire attendance there, from 9th grade until he withdrew without graduating before his senior year.

The high school received grants to research the concepts of Smaller Learning Communities and work to implement them.

Ayers himself is considered one of the fathers of the Smaller Learning Communities, often providing lectures to schools on the subject. For example, a 2001 lecture at Lewis & Clark College featured Ayers at a workshop entitled, “A Simple Justice: Building Smaller Learning Communities to Know Our Youth.”

There you go. There’s your first clue. Any time you see the word “justice” in the title of anything, you know its going to be some kind of wacko liberal scam that sucks tax dollars right out of your wallet and helps to destroy American society in the process.

America ain’t buying it: 72% of adults don’t believe Giffords’ shooting was political

Democrats been huffing and puffing and trying their damnedest to pin the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords on some Republican – any Republican – and it just hasn’t worked.

bigfoot
Bigfoot seems more plausible than the Democrats' spin on Jared Loughner

These must be very discouraging days for those who reside in the Democrat Party. Very discouraging days, indeed.

They’ve been huffing and puffing and trying their damnedest to pin the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords on some Republican – any Republican – and it just hasn’t worked. Not even with the eager cheerleaders in the media rooting them on.

Rasmussen has the details:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 28% of Adults say the shooting in Arizona was the result of political anger in the country. Fifty-eight percent (58%) say instead that it was a random act of violence by an unstable person. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided.

Just 28% buy the Democrat spin. About the same percentage that believes in Bigfoot and flying saucers. Coming soon: Democrats claim that E.T. caused the shooting.

Crisis gone to waste: Generic Congressional Ballot shows Republicans 47%, Democrats 36%

How can this be? There was a crisis in Tucson and the Democrats have done everything they can think of to exploit it and they lose ground in the polls. We repeat, HOW CAN THIS BE???????

disappointed-obama
If a crisis doesn't help Democrats, what will?

Rasmussen explains the latest numbers:

Republicans hold an 11-point lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending January 9, 2011. That’s up one point from last week and six points from the week before. It’s the widest gap between the two parties since right before Election Day.

New Rasmussen Reports telephone polling finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters nationwide say they would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 36% would choose the Democrat instead.

Last week, Republicans posted a similar 45% to 35% lead over the Democrats. The week before the election, support for Republicans peaked at 51%, the highest level of support either party has enjoyed in the last two years but has tapered off since then.

This survey included just a couple days of post-Tucson massacre madness. It will be very interesting to see what Rasmussen’s next poll shows.

Dr. Jeckyl & Mr. Matthews: Chris Matthews’ Fort Hood reporting vs. Chris Matthews’ Tucson reporting

Remember how Chris Matthews went out of his way to prove his fairness after the Fort Hood shootings, looking for the truth, casting absolutely no blame, especially on radical Islam and the shooter who screamed “Allahu Akbar” as he fired round after round at his innocent victims.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews is an objective reporter, damn it. Just ask him.

He went out of his way to prove it after the Fort Hood shootings, looking for the truth, casting absolutely no blame, especially on radical Islam and the shooter who screamed “Allahu Akbar” as he fired round after round at his innocent victims.

We know you’ll be shocked as we were to learn that Chris wasn’t quite as objective after the Tucson massacre.

We guarantee – absolutely guarantee – that as soon as this interview with Tucson shooting hero Joe Zamudio was over and they cut to commercial, Ed Schultz started screaming in the studio:

No, Ed, you do that all by yourself.

WaPo wants Congress to call off radical Islam hearings because Republicans won’t condemn Sarah Palin

Never let it be said that the Washington Post lets a good crisis go to waste. They’ve somehow made a connection between the horror of the Tucson massacre and horror of Congressional hearings on radical Islam.

Never let it be said that the Washington Post lets a good crisis go to waste. They’ve somehow made a connection between the horror of the Tucson massacre and horror of Congressional hearings on radical Islam.

keith ellison
The way we understand the Post, it's better to vilify Sarah Palin than to vilify a schmuck like Keith Ellison

Say what?

Let’s just let the WaPo hoist itself on its own petard:

The shooting in Tucson offers Rep. Peter T. King (R-N.Y.) an opportunity to rethink his planned Homeland Security Committee hearings on Muslim “radicalization” in this country.

King says he’s worried about the “disconnect,” as he calls it, “between outstanding Muslims who contribute so much to the future of our country and those leaders who–for whatever reason–acquiesce in terror or ignore the threat.”

By that standard, he should have hearings on the failure of Republican leaders to denounce Sarah Palin’s “crosshairs” Web page and Sharron Angle’s invocation of “Second Amendment remedies” to Big Government and her opponent in the Nevada U.S. Senate race, Harry Reid.

Of course, that is no business for the Homeland Security Committee. Imagine the response if King’s Democratic predecessor, Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, had tried to summon Palin and Angle, not to mention Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, to testify at such hearings.

King’s announcement of hearings last month proved incendiary, with law-abiding U.S. Islamic groups and such prominent individuals as Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the first Muslim elected to Congress, protesting that such an attention-getting forum will only further “vilify” them.

Congratulations to the Washington Post. It’s still early in the year, but this one is definitely in the running for Most Irrational Column of 2011. We’re reasonably intelligent guys, but we found it impossible to follow the twisted logic in this piece.

But if the only thing King’s hearings accomplish is the vilification of a schmuck like Keith Ellison, then we say bring ‘em on.

Ever noticed liberals’ habit of saying disagreement with them equals hate? So has Brit Hume.

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume calls out the left for its hypocrisy. Correction: Make that their blatant hypocrisy.

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume calls out the left for its hypocrisy. Correction: Make that their blatant hypocrisy.

TheDailyCaller.com reports Brit’s pissed-offedness:

“It has become a habit of the American left to equate disagreement with liberals and liberalism with hate,” Hume said. “So convinced do they seem of the virtue of their cause that the only possible explanation for resistance to it must be hatred. In the past week, at least two prominent liberal commentators spoke of the need to resist the right, quote, ‘Obama hate machine.’ Hardly a surprise then that the assassination attempt on Congresswoman Giffords would quickly be blamed on what columnist [Paul] Krugman of The New York Times called the climate of hate, fomented of course by the right.”

Hume also pointed out that some of the attempts to capitalize politically on the tragedy are deeply misguided.

“Never mind that the only climate that seemed to matter here was the fevered swamp of Jared Loughner’s mind,” he continued. “The Democratic sheriff of Pima County also saw a connection to the national climate, though he admitted he had no evidence, just his opinion he said. Here in Washington, Democratic Congressman Brady of Philadelphia has a bill to make at it crime to use language or symbols that quote, ‘Could be perceived as threatening violence against Congress.’ So presumably our national discourse will now be cleansed of references to attack ads and targeted races and blasting one’s opponent. Congress better kill that bill before it’s a crime to use the phrase and before anyone gets idea that regulating speech will have any effect on the behavior of the deranged.”

Oh, Brit. You right wing wacko, you.

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin has blood on his hands

We’re absolutely positive that Joe Manchin’s TV ad is what motivated Jared Loughner to shoot Gabrielle Giffords. And we’re even more sincere about it than the lunatic left is that Sarah Palin’s little target symbols caused him to do it.

Remember this Manchin campaign commercial? Candidate (and now Senator) Joe Manchin said “I’ll take on Washington and this administration and get the federal government off of our backs!” Then he picked up his rifle and fired a shot right through Obama’s healthcare bill.

We’re absolutely positive that this is what motivated Jared Loughner to shoot Gabrielle Giffords. And we’re even more sincere about it than the lunatic left is that Sarah Palin’s little target symbols caused him to do it.

Is Sheriff Dupnik is responsible for the Tuscon massacre?

The real problem with Pima County Sheriff Dupnik’s on-going bombast – if you distract everyone by pointing fingers, maybe no one will notice that they should, perhaps, be pointed at you.

We love James Taranto. His Wall Street Journal Best of the Web Today blog is one of our favorites.

He pegged the real problem with Pima County Sheriff Dupnik’s on-going bombast – if you distract everyone by pointing fingers, maybe no one will notice that they should, perhaps, be pointed at you.

“I’d like to make one additional point on Sheriff Dupnik. I think we’re missing the point when we’re talking about his political agenda. This man and this suspect has had previous contact with the sheriff’s office. It looks to me, we don’t have many details on this, but it looks as though he slipped between the cracks. I think what we really need to look into is what happened when he had previous contact with the sheriff’s office with their negligence here. And, I think the sheriff is trying to distract from that question.”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vQ4q1woO8I

No, James. It doesn’t just look like Loughner slipped through the cracks, he did slip through the cracks.

TheChollaJumps has the specifics of the slippage:

Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation. My sympathies and my heart goes out to her and the rest of Mr. Loughner’s family. This tragedy must be tearing them up inside wondering if they had done the right things in trying to manage Jared’s obvious mental instability.

Every victim of his threats previously must also be wondering if this tragedy could have been prevented if they had been more aggressive in pursuing charges against Mr. Loughner. Perhaps with a felony conviction he would never have been able to lawfully by the Glock 9mm Model 19 that he used to strike down the lives of six people and decimate 14 more.

Hmmmmm. Makes a little too much sense to be ignored, doesn’t it?

Judgment to Rush: Arizona sheriff blames Limbaugh for Tucson murders

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has made himself judge, jury and sounds as if he’d like to complete the trifecta and become the executioner. But of talk show host Rush Limbaugh, not of Jared Loughner.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has made himself judge, jury and sounds as if he’d like to complete the trifecta and become the executioner. But of talk show host Rush Limbaugh, not of Jared Loughner.

Dupnik announced that the talk show host is “irresponsible” for his vitriolic comments.

ABC News has the Dupnik details:

“The kind of rhetoric that flows from people like Rush Limbaugh, in my judgment he is irresponsible, uses partial information, sometimes wrong information,” Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said today.

“[Limbaugh] attacks people, angers them against government, angers them against elected officials and that kind of behavior in my opinion is not without consequences.”

Limbaugh today railed against the media and Dupnik for trying to draw a link between the heated political climate and the shooting rampage, calling the sheriff a “fool.” But Dupnik stood by his assertions.

“The vitriol affects the [unstable] personality that we are talking about,” he said. “You can say, ‘Oh no, it doesn’t,’ but my opinion is that it does.”

Pot, meet kettle: Dupnik seems to be an expert when it comes to vitriol. He decided no investigation was necessary because he knew exactly what motivated Jared Loughner within minutes of the shooting.

At the risk of using a phrase that Dupnik might call vitriolic and irresponsible, one might call his actions a clear case of, “Ready, fire, aim.”

The media puts on the Full Alinsky after tragedy in Tucson

Yesterday, as the Tragedy in Tucson unfolded, FOX gave viewers the journalistic basics – who, what, where and when. They left out “why” as it is yet to be determined, but that didn’t stop the other networks from making both assumptions and accusations.

One doesn’t have to look hard to discover why MSNBC and CNN jostle each other for last place in cable news ratings.

Yesterday, as the Tragedy in Tucson unfolded, FOX gave viewers the journalistic basics – who, what, where and when.

They left out “why” as it is yet to be determined, but that didn’t stop the other networks from making both assumptions and accusations. CNN and MSNBC put on the full Alinsky, disgracefully exploiting the shootings to make political hay.

In Rules for Radicals Saul Alinsky said, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it  and polarize it.” So   instead of blaming the actual shooter and his twisted left wing political philosophy, the mainstream media followed Alinksy’s instructions and blamed all their usual suspects: Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and the Tea Party.

Liberals, the fraudulent Guardians of Free Speech, are once again making a pitch to silence speech they don’t agree with. Yet they choose to ignore the hateful screed of the liberal Daily KOS, who published, then scrubbed, multiple attacks on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, including bulls-eye targets and expressions of “She is dead to me now.”

daily kos

This post has mysteriously vanished

They tossed buckets of blood on Sarah Palin, then pointed their fingers and yelled, “She has blood on her hands!” And they did so without shame, without any sense of hypocrisy.

Six dead, including a child. A dozen injured. Dozens more in pain – the family and friends of the victims.

And all the mainstream media wants to do is exploit it, further fracturing the nation.

After Tucson, it can no longer be said that Obama’s media minions lean left. There is no lean – they are completely, overtly liberal. They’ve discarded the mask.

Yes, after Tucson it’s clear to see why CNN and MSNBC battle each other for last in the ratings, why they are so far back they are invisible in FOX’s rear view mirror.

Small justice, in that.

Six other cases when the media incorrectly blamed conservatives for liberal violence

The liberal media rushed to judgment after the tragedy in Tucson and without any information to back their assertions declared that assassin Jared Loughner was a conservative. When the facts came out, it turned out that he’s a left wing lunatic.

Former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said, “Never let a crisis go to waste.” The liberal corollary seems to be “Never let a tragedy go to waste.”

The liberal media rushed to judgment after the tragedy in Tucson and without any information to back their assertions declared that assassin Jared Loughner was a conservative, that he was influenced by Sarah Palin or by Rush Limbaugh or by Glenn Beck or by the Tea Party. Or by all of the above.

When the facts came out, it turned out that he’s a left wing lunatic.

Legal Insurrection put together a good list of similar tragedies and similar inaccurate accusations:

Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have seen this type of reaction. The meme that opponents of Obama are crazy and dangerous has been an explicit Democratic Party campaign strategy for over two years. Here is just a partial list of events in which the left-wing and Democratic Party media operation has immediately blamed right-wing rhetoric, only to be proven wrong when the facts finally came out: Bill Sparkman, Amy Bishop, The Fort Hood Shooter, The IRS Plane Crasher, The Cabbie Stabbing, and The Pentagon Shooter.

If you’ve never read LegalInsurrection.com, give it a try. They do great work.

Did the Tea Party or Sarah Palin incite Jared Loughner to shoot Gabrielle Giffords?

Sadly, charges are already flying over who is “responsible” for inciting Jared Loughner, 22, to shoot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona and a dozen others, six of whom have died.

Liberal websites are quickly accusing Sarah Palin and the Tea Party of creating the environment that set off a crazed lunatic like Loughner. Even old liberal warhorse Jane Fonda has indicted Sarah Palin with absolutely no evidence to support her accusations.

However, a quick look at Loughner’s YouTube channel offers no basis for such conclusions. In fact, if anything, it seems to indicate extreme left wing influences.

For example, Loughner’s YouTube channel lists the following books as his favorites.

I had favorite books: Animal Farm, Brave New World, The Wizard Of OZ, Aesop Fables, The Odyssey, Alice Adventures Into Wonderland, Fahrenheit 451, Peter Pan, To Kill A Mockingbird, We The Living, Phantom Toll Booth, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Pulp,Through The Looking Glass, The Communist Manifesto, Siddhartha, The Old Man And The Sea, Gulliver’s Travels, Mein Kampf, The Republic, and Meno.

It’s highly unlikely that Mein Kampf and The Communist Manesfesto are listed among the reading material of very many Tea Party members.

Loughner created and uploaded three remarkably paranoid videos to his YouTube channel. You can see them at the bottom of this story. None of them have anything to do with the Tea Party or Sarah Palin.

That being said, we think you’ll find it instructive to watch the one video Loughner marked as his favorite among the millions of YouTube videos available. It shows a man wearing a smiley face mask walking up to and setting on fire an American flag planted in the desert. Burning the American flag is almost exclusively the domain of liberal protesters. It’s something no Tea Party patriot would ever condone.

Make sure you turn up the audio and listen to the words of the heavy metal music to understand Loughner’s twisted view of the world.

UPDATE: Catie Parker, one of Loughner’s classmates at Mountain View High School, also indicates that he was extremely left wing. Here’s a series of Tweets she left regarding the assassin aggregated into one continuous message:

This is a circus. Good Morning America just called me … it’s loughner just checked my year book … I haven’t seen him since ’07. Then, he was left wing more left. I haven’t seen him since ’07 though. He became very reclusive … he had a lot of friends until he got alcohol poisoning in ’06, & dropped out of school. Mainly loner very philosophical … As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal. & oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy … he was a pot head & into rock like Hendrix,The Doors, Anti-Flag. I haven’t seen him in person since ’07 in a sign language class … He was a political radical & met Giffords once before in ’07, asked her a question & he told me she was “stupid & unintelligent”

Here’s is Jared Loughner’s “favorite” video:
