According to the Huffington Post, President Obama is a chess master extraordinaire. No, really. That’s what they said:
President Obama knew about the secret Iranian facility nine months ago. Before he began his strategy of engagement, he knew Iran was lying about its program. When he extended his hand in friendship, he knew Iran had built a secret factory to enrich uranium. Before he offered direct talks, he knew Iran was hiding a nuclear weapons breakout capability.
Each move was denounced as “weak” and “naïve” by the right. That talk looks foolish today. These were the moves of chess master, carefully positioning pieces on the board, laying a trap, and springing it at the opportune moment.
Well, actually, the moves still look weak and naive to us.
We’d say the Huffington Post has it slightly wrong. Obama looks more like the president of the high school chess club than a chess master. And Mahmoud Ahmadinejad looks like one of the tough kids who’s about to give him a wedgie.

The closest Obama will ever come to playing chess, is his perfect imitation of a horses' ass. Indeed, the knight recieved a long-range wedgie from Iran.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha! What "moves"? What "trap"? Did he catch what he was trying to trap? What has he done? He lets lobbyists write stimulus bills. He lets Congress take care of the health care nonsense. He's livin' the high life, traveling and leaving his huge "carbon footprint" everywhere, going on trips to Europe with Shelly, and now he's going over to Denmark with Ofrah. And Afghanistan? Bah. He didn't talk to the general in charge until the General got on 60 minutes and tattled how he hadn't spoken with our illustrious Prez in 70 DAYS - and has only spoken to him once since he got his assignment. He only spoke to him yesterday, after the media got a hold of it. He likes going on talk shows and late-night shows to talk about his health care. But when it comes down to things like war, jobs (which he promised, but never delivered), the economy, etc. - he's nowhere to be found. What a jackass.
For some time now, the "Obama is playing chess while others play checkers" line is a common opinion repeated ad nauseum at the HuffPo. Typically, this line is used when discussing Obama's foreign policy (or lack thereof). Note: The "you must be a stupid racist" responses are saved for domestic issue debates.
Every time a reader comments on a curious foreign policy decision (or an outright failure) you get the "chess" comment.
Yahtzee? Tic tac toe would more his speed.
