It’s only been one day and Hank Johnson has a challenger for dumbest congressman title

Good god, man, just when we knew Hank Johnson (D-GA) was hands down the dumbest guy in congress, Rep. Phil Hare (D-IL) runs into the spotlight and hollers, “Hey, look at me.”

Hare told a disgruntled group of constituents, “I care more about the people who are dying every day than the Constitution in this.” When one of the angry voters pointed out that Hare had sworn to uphold the Constitution, the congressman quoted from the document.

Unfortunately, the constituent pointed out that instead of quoting the Constitution, Hare had actually quoted the Declaration of Independence and didn’t appear to know the difference between the two.

Finally, Hare told his constituents that he read the incredibly complex 2500+ page ObamaCare bill three times before he voted for it. When it was pointed out that that’s a page a minute every minute of the day and night between the time the bill was posted and when it was voted on, Hare did what any self-respecting congressman would do – he shrugged he shoulders, did a head fake, and ran for his car.

Let this be a lesson to the voters of Illinois:

Never vote for a congressman who looks like Barney Rubble.

  • This makes so much clear! This is why they don't want to hear about the founding fathers, the constitution, the bill of rights, etc. They have never read them and obviously never plan to! That is their job description. Can you feature trying to keep a job with no clue what your job description is? Can we do an evaluation of how well they are fulfilling their job descriptions, like your annual reviw at work? Oh, wait. We can. Come on November! Of course their constituents probably know less than they, or would not have voted for them to begin with.

  • Well in fairness he did answer the constitutional question. He doesn't know and he doesn't care. He didn't answer how long it took him to read the bill three times. The guy should have asked that before calling the congressman a liar or giving him the time frame needed for the reading of it. That way when he says something like two days or three days or something like that, then you can come up for the kill.

It is too easy but it is the right thing to do to call these people up on their stupidity. Where do these people come from? What planet? and why do people continue to vote these people in office?

There is Pelosi, Boxer and Reid and now Johnson and Hare on the lead of stupidity.

  • Are these guys eating and drinking the same food as Joe Biden? Heaven knows Maxine Waters used to have a corner on this prize. Let the competition begin!!

  • and the real scary thing.. he is in office because a majority support(ed) him...wow.
( umm I refer here to the congressman.. the whole POTUS thing is another terrifying thing altogether )

  • yea, maybe the good congressman (oh the irony of his title) doesnt realize this

but reading the healthcare bill is roughly (possibly longer) 5 days STRAIGHT days, no sleep, no distractions, of reading, with a few extra hours on the weekend before bed.

    • It may take five days to read it once, but it would take far, far longer to comprehend what one is reading. It's written in complex liberal governmentese, which requires constant references back to other pages and other clauses and other independent rules and regulations. In reality, it's probably impossible for anyone to really read AND comprehend this bloated pig of a bill.

  • Phil Hare is a Constitutionally challenged fool like most, if not all, politicians in D.C., and particularly Democrats. It would be interesting if the program “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader” were to host a program featuring only questions on U.S. Government and invite politicians to play. I’m sure the sponsors would be ecstatic to find they would pay out little, if any, prize money. The entertainment (and educational) value, however, would be priceless.

  • The response of the camera-man when this moron says he doesn't care about the constitution is, well, its priceless.

Was just thinking-remember the story of the tortoise and the HARE? there is something funny there, but I am not the guy to make it happen-how bout a little help from a moderator?
