WEST LA VETERANS AFFAIRS CAMPUS UNVEILS PLANS TO PROVIDE HOUSING TO HOMELESS VETS. OK, first off, yes, this is a real ABC site. Second, it was posted today, not 2 or 3 years ago. That being said, this seems a good way to help Veterans out. What say you?

Feel good story of the day: Florida couple forecloses on Bank of America
In an age when foreclosures are rapidly becoming the norm, a Florida couple has literally reversed the trend by foreclosing on a bank. And not just any bank, but Bank of America.
This may be our favorite story of the day. In an age when foreclosures are rapidly becoming the norm, a Florida couple has literally reversed the trend by foreclosing on a bank. And not just any bank, but Bank of America.

WINK-TV has the story:
The foreclosure nightmare started when Warren and Maureen Nyerges paid cash for a home owned by Bank of America in the Golden Gate Estates. They never had a mortgage whatsoever. But, the bank fouled it up and wound up issuing a foreclosure through their attorney.
The couple took their case to court and after a year and a half nightmare the foreclosure was dropped. A Collier County judge said Bank of America has to pay the couple’s $2,534 legal fees for the error. After more than five months the bank still hadn’t paid up. So, the homeowners’ attorney did just what the bank would do to get their money, legally seize their assets.
“I instructed the deputy to go in and take desks, computers, copiers, filing cabinets, including cash in the drawers,” Attorney Todd Allen told WINK News….
Allen says the manager was visibly shaken, “Having two Sheriff’s deputies sitting across your desk, and a lawyer standing behind them, demanding whatever assets are in the bank can be intimidating. But, so is having your home foreclosed on when it wasn’t right.”
After about an hour the bank finally cut a check to satisfy the debt, and no furniture was taken….
Don’t you kind of wish you could have been there to see it all go down?

CNBC can’t stomach Bawney Fwank’s “evolving position” on home ownership
CNBC can’t stomach Barney Frank’s “evolving position” on home ownership.
Make no mistake about it, when we say “evolving position,” we mean his butt-covering lie.
In 2005 Barney Frank said, “Those of us on our committee in particular will continue to push for home ownership.”
In 2010 Barney Frank’s position has mysteriously evolved into, “I was very much in disagreement with this push into home ownership, and I think the Federal government should not be artificially doing that.”
That was more than CNBC Power Lunch gang could take. They nailed Frank on his hypocrisy.
Oprah Winfrey flaunts her wealth in college commencement address

“It’s great to have a nice home. It’s great to have nice homes! It’s great to have a nice home that just escaped the fire in Santa Barbara,” she told the students. “It’s great to have a private jet. Anyone that tells you that having your own private jet isn’t great is lying to you.”
Sure, she went on to say “You haven’t completed the circle of success until you help someone else move to a higher ground and get to a better place.” Blah, blah, blah.
The Duke graduates were terribly disappointed with Oprah’s address. When she started talking about helping someone else, they thought she was going to give away free cars to everyone in the audience again.
Sorry, Duke graduates. Since Oprah didn’t come through with a freebie, it looks like you’ll have to move to Massachusetts to get that free car.

Barney Fwank twies to we-wite histowy
Chutzpah, thy name is Barney Frank.
Recall that this Massachusetts Democrat is the ethical paragon who once used his office to fix 33 parking tickets for his gay-prostitute lover before discovering that a prostitution ring was being run from his apartment.
Video #1 – Barney Fwank tells one story in 2005
This is also the same congressman who saw no conflict of interest when his (now former) romantic partner, Herb Moses, served as an executive at Fannie Mae while Frank served on the House Banking Committee and blocked tougher regulations on the banking companies.
Video #2 – Barney Fwank tells a different story in 2009
So we probably shouldn’t be too surprised that Barney Frank has no shame when it comes his role in the Fannie Mae implosion.
But now Frank’s doing a complete about-face and trying to pin the blame on conservatives.
Looks like he’s involved in another prostitution ring. Except this time he’s prostituting the truth.

Santelli vs. Gibbs. Let’s settle it with a duel at dawn.
Last week we witnessed the sad spectacle of the president’s press secretary attacking Rick Santelli, a reporter who made the mistake of disagreeing with part of the president’s “stimulus” plan.
“This is a copy of the President’s home affordability plan,” Gibbs drawled. “It’s available on the White House web site, and I would encourage him (to) download it. Hit print, and begin to read it.
Santelli responded in an interview with Larry Kudlow. And he responded with all the passion of his earlier comments.
“The 92% of the Americans that are paying their loan on time,” Santelli said, “do you think there’s no pain there? These people are probably cutting back, their 401(k)s are down. It’s tough. Just because they’re making their payment and they’re current, doesn’t mean they’re not cutting back as well.
“Do we want to teach our children that you can get out of a mistake and that there are do-overs?” he asked. “I just don’t think that’s American. And I read it and guess what? I still don’t like it.”
We don’t know what Robert Gibbs wants to teach his children. But we’d suggest he use part of his substantial salary to hire them a math tutor so they don’t end up as bad with numbers as their old man.
