A Georgia grandmother who says she sent state Sen. Greg Ball a Curious George monkey with a label saying it was bound for Auschwitz, cheap perfume and an anger-filled, anti-Semitic letter also laid claim Wednesday to mailing a bloody pig’s foot to Rep. Peter King of Long Island.

Jameela Barnette, a radical Muslim blogger, said Wednesday she mailed Ball a box containing the plush monkey pinned with Stars of David and the letter (which addressed Ball as “Dead Man Walking”) because he is “using Muslims to further his career.”

“I sent it to let him know I am extremely displeased for his declaration of war on Muslims, which is what I regard those hearings as,” said Barnette, a medical records consultant…

…Barnette, who has posted anti-Jewish, pro-Muslim writings on blogs and websites, said Wednesday “no one gets upset if someone burns a Quran” but everyone is offended if Jews are disparaged.

How we envy Congressman King. He got a bloody pig’s foot, but all we got was annoyed.

Let the hearings begin: Republicans to investigate Muslim radicalization

Not if New York Congressman Peter King has anything to say about it. The new chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee says one of the first orders of business for the new Republican majority will be to investigate Muslim radicalization in the United States.

It’s about friggin’ time, isn’t it?

King spoke to Fox News on Sunday and said:

“Fact is, no one had a closer relationship to the Muslim community than I did before September 11. Since then I’ve been disappointed, though, by the number of their leaders who would not cooperate with law enforcement. There are actual cases in this country where imams direct their members not to cooperate with law enforcement on very serious investigations. And when you talk to law enforcement people around the country including this area here they will say they do not yet have the level of support that we need. Now, the overwhelming majority of Muslims are good people. But for whatever reason the people in their leadership are not cooperative and I believe it’s important to have this investigation on radicalization of the Muslim community. We’ve seen what happened in England. We know al Queda is trying to recruit people over here such as they did with the Subway Bomber here in New York last year. The attempted subway bombing, the Times Square bombing – these are all people living legally in the United States.”

PEter King: “You had countries and you had [terrorist] organizations who are absolutely terrified of what George Bush might do to them …. Now I think many of them feel that the President may apologize to them or he may reach out the hand of friendship.”

Congressman Peter King (R-New Yorkistan) always speaks his mind. Sometimes we like it, sometimes we don’t. This time, he’s spot on.

We’re pretty sure that apologies aren’t enough anymore. Now they want him to bow, too.

Republic Rep. Peter King appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Monday and said some things that are sure to land him in hot water with the Obama administration. And Muslim extremists, too.

“Janet Napolitano testified before the Homeland Security Committee a few weeks ago and never once used the word terrorism. Nowhere in her statement was the word terrorism. When I questioned her about that she basically said she didn’t want to use the word terrorism. She was talking about al Qaeda or bin Laden. We cannot use the word terrorism.
