Louisiana Sheriff Who Called Gang Members ‘Animals’ Gets the Axe. We suggest residents of the St. Landry Parish send a thank you letter to the ACLU, the Southern Poverty Law Center and the St. Landry Parish Council every time an innocent citizen is robbed, maimed or murdered.

When will PETA and the ACLU condemn illegal aliens?
We’re eagerly awaiting a press release from PETA supporting Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law and condemning cockfighting and another press release from the ACLU supporting the law and condemning the weapons.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio recently rounded up a bunch of illegal aliens and charged them with cockfighting and possession of illegal weapons.
So now we’re eagerly awaiting a press release from PETA supporting Arizona’s anti-illegal alien law and condemning cockfighting and another press release from the ACLU supporting the law and condemning the weapons.

ACLU doesn’t like drone strikes, wants us to kill Taliban the old fashioned way
The American Civil Liberties Union sued the federal government Tuesday to learn the use of unmanned drones for targeted killings by the military and CIA.

Is there nothing the ACLU won’t do harm the United States? Now they think our unmanned drone strikes are illegal and immoral. They’re just not fair.
Politico reports the details:
The American Civil Liberties Union sued the federal government Tuesday to learn the use of unmanned drones for targeted killings by the military and CIA.
“In particular, the lawsuit asks for information on when, where and against whom drone strikes can be authorized, the number and rate of civilian casualties and other basic information essential for assessing the wisdom and legality of using armed drones to conduct targeted killings,” the ACLU said in a statement, announcing its action.
The nonprofit civil liberties group filed initial Freedom of Information Act requests with the Defense, Justice and State departments and with the Central Intelligence Agency on Jan. 13. Only the CIA responded, and the ACLU is pursuing that request with an appeal to the agency.
“The government’s use of drones to conduct targeted killings raises complicated questions – not only legal questions, but policy and moral questions as well,” said Jameel Jaffer, director of the ACLU National Security Project. “These kinds of questions ought to be discussed and debated publicly, not resolved secretly behind closed doors. While the Obama administration may legitimately withhold intelligence information as well as sensitive information about military strategy, it should disclose basic information about the scope of the drone program, the legal basis for the program and the civilian casualties that have resulted from the program.”
We’re not quite sure what the ACLU wants on this one. A return, maybe, to hand-to-hand combat?
Since the Taliban want to return the world to the Middle Ages, we say bring back jousting. Two men, two horses, two lances.
Either that or skip a step just bomb the miserable little sons of bitches back to the Middle Ages.

ACLU finally finds a church it likes – the one protesting at soldiers’ funerals

When was the last time you heard anything about the ACLU defending a church? Maybe never.
Well, Kansas-based Westboro Church is not your typical church. They’re the lunatics who stage disgusting protests at the funerals of American soldiers who die in combat.
Naturally, the ACLU thinks that’s just a dandy thing for them to do. It’s all about freedom of speech, you know. And cities who ban the protests are committing the ultimate constitutional sin – opposing an ACLU client. (We’re not sure which article of the constitution that clause is found, but it must be in there somewhere).
Here’s how St. Louis Today tells the story:
The American Civil Liberties Union sued Maplewood today on behalf of a controversial Kansas-based church that protests at the funerals of soldiers, alleging that the city’s funeral protest ban is unconstitutional.
The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in St. Louis, is a first in eastern Missouri but part of a broader effort by the ACLU to go after state and local laws that have been passed in recent years targeting funeral protests, said Tony Rothert, legal director of the ACLU of Eastern Missouri.
Missouri and Illinois are among the more than two dozen states and the federal government that have passed similar laws. Many, if not all, were prompted by the activities of the Westboro Baptist Church and founder Fred Phelps, who believe that America is being punished by the deaths of soldiers and others for its “tolerance” of homosexuality. Church members began protesting at the funerals of gays but then started protesting at soldiers’ funerals and carrying signs such as “Thank God For Dead Soldiers.”
Everything about these protests is vile. But the worst is the little boy in the bottom photo who’s carrying a sign that says, “FAG TROOPS.” What kind of horrible human being would take a small child into this situation and use them as a prop to hold such a sign?
We say let’s hire the ACLU to sue the Westboro Church for discriminating on the basis of sexual preference.

Students stand up to ACLU, recite Lord’s prayer at graduation
The entire 2009 graduating class at Florida’s Pace High School stood up to the ACLU by standing up to recite the Lord’s Prayer.
Naturally, the incident has been ignored by the liberal media.
When their principal asked everyone to be seated for the ceremony, nearly 400 graduating seniors remained standing and began their prayer. Parents, family and friends spontaneously joined in and then broke into applause upon its completion.
Here’s the background: The ACLU sued the school six months ago, complaining that prayers had been offered at two school-sponsored events. As the school ramped up preparations for this year’s graduation ceremony, the ACLU demanded that they refrain from saying anything religious.
This blatant attempt at censorship led the students to develop their plan in secret.
“Neither students nor teachers shed their constitutional rights at the schoolhouse gate,” noted Mathew Staver, dean of Liberty University School of Law. “The students at Pace High School refused to remain silent and were not about to be bullied by the ACLU.
We’re thinking of starting a new website called IHateTheACLU.com.

Democrats threaten future of Christian radio

Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe, the most rational man in Washington, DC has given an impassioned speech on the floor of the Senate in defense of Christian radio.
“In a straight party-line vote, Democrats chose to adopt Senator Durbin’s Amendment 591, which calls on the FCC to quote, ‘encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership…and to ensure that broadcast station licenses are used in the public interest.’ That’s a quote and essentially it makes an end-run around the Fairness Doctrine.”
“The ACLU and other liberal organizations could attempt to file lawsuits against anyone who presents a message that they deem to be counter to federal localism and diversity regulations,” Inhofe continued. “…the chilling effect that the mere threat of a lawsuit will have on religious broadcasters could be substantial.”
“This legislation is so incredibly vague and so potentially far-reaching that I can’t say with any certainty what the end result will be,” Inhofe said. “This is not good governance and it is not good legislative practice to cede such authority to any agency of our government, specifically when the right to speak freely over the airwaves will most certainly be impacted.”
We don’t think the Democrats really want to outlaw religious broadcasters. We suspect they’d be satisfied if they could merely outlaw about seven of the Ten Commandments, pass legislation that Reverend Wright be given equal time on all current religious broadcasts, and have Obama’s inauguration officially designated as the Second Coming.
Is that too much to ask?
