Congressional Black Caucus adds a brand new lunatic

In all the excitement of the Republican takeover of the House, this news item has been overlooked. Just when you thought the Congressional Black Caucus had its full quota of lunatics, along comes newly-elected Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson.

A tip of the IHTM cap to new Representative Frederica Wilson

Yahoo.com has the details:

… Wilson’s first goal is to overturn a rule that blocks her from wearing a hat on the House floor. The freshman Democrat is pressing incoming House Speaker John Boehner to overturn the rule, which dates back to the 1800s, or at least to make an exception for her. But it’s unclear whether Boehner — who, in any event, will likely have plenty of priorities ahead of a rule-change request from a member of the opposition party — could do anything, shy of a full floor vote, to overturn the House’s hat ban.

You see, Wilson doesn’t own just a hat or two. By her count, the former Florida state House member owns at least 300 different hats, including custom-made sequined cowboy hats in virtually every color of the rainbow. Her hat collection is so massive, it takes up an entire room of her house, per the Miami New Times. “I’ve been wearing them almost 30 years,” Wilson tells Politifact. “It’s like a fetish.”

Nice to see that Wilson has her priorities straight and that her first order of business will be taking care of her fetish.

Wilson will undoubtedly be warmly welcomed to the CBC by fellow lunatics Jesse Jackson Jr, Sanford Bishop, Keith Ellison, Chaka Fattah, Alcee Hastings, Eddie Bernice Johnson, Hank Johnson, Barbara Lee, Sheila Jackson Lee, John Lewis, Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters.

She ought to fit right in.

Heads set to explode: Allen West announces he will join Congressional Black Caucus

WOR’s Steve Malzberg interviewed new Florida Congressman Allen West and found out that he intends to join the Congressional Black Caucus. To put that another way, he will become the first conservative member of the Congressional Caucus.

We also love the fact that West says he hung up on Congressman Ron Klein when the defeated Democrat called to concede and asked how West’s family was doing. This, of course, came after Klein did one despicable thing after another to West’s family during the campaign.

Congratulations, Congressman West. It’s going to be fun watching you in Congress.

Fraud of the day: Another Congressional Black Caucus member accused of giving scholarships to relatives

Another day, another scandal for the Congressional Black Caucus. Now Sanford Bishop, a Georgia Democrat, has been accused of awarding scholarships from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation to family members.

Another day, another scandal for the Congressional Black Caucus.

Now Sanford Bishop, a Georgia Democrat, has been accused of awarding scholarships from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation to family members. Specifically, his stepdaughter and wife’s niece. And no one can scream racism on this one, because the details come straight from the records of the non-profit group itself.

Politico.com has the details:

sanford bishop
Sanford Bishop wants to educate America's youth. Especially if they're his relatives.

Bishop is the second Democrat found to have funneled Congressional Black Caucus Foundation scholarship funds to relatives, threatening to turn the program into a larger political problem for the party. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) recently paid back $31,000 to the foundation for scholarships that she improperly awarded to various relatives and children of a top staffer.

Rep. Donald Payne (D-N.J.), chairman of the CBC Foundation, has promised an “extensive audit of the scholarship program” run by the organization.

Bishop, though, also appears to have favored family members with CBC scholarships.

In 2003, Emmaundia Whitaker, the niece of Vivian Creighton Bishop, who is Bishop’s wife, was awarded an education scholarship. She was also given a similar award in 2005.

And in 2003, Aayesha Owens Reese, the congressman’s stepdaughter, was granted an education scholarship as well.

As much as we enjoy condemning Congressman Bishop, we figure this is just the tip of the iceberg. He’s probably no more corrupt than the rest of the leeches in Congress – black, white, yellow, brown, green and purple.

There’s just too much money floating around Washington, DC. And too much temptation for these little gods to skim a little off the top for themselves.

Raaaacism! Another member of the Congressional Black Caucus accused of corruption.

The Congressional Black Caucus cried racism when two of its members – Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters – were charged with corruption. Well, longtime Texas Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson may be late to the party, but she has officially arrived.

A couple weeks back members of the Congressional Black Caucus cried racism when two of its members – Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters – were charged with corruption. Well, longtime Texas Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson may be late to the party, but she has officially arrived.

The Dallas Morning News reports the latest case of blatant raaaacism:

Longtime Dallas congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has awarded thousands of dollars in college scholarships to four relatives and a top aide’s two children since 2005, using foundation funds set aside for black lawmakers’ causes.

The recipients were ineligible under anti-nepotism rules of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, which provided the money. And all of the awards violated a foundation requirement that scholarship winners live or study in a caucus member’s district.

…Scholarships have gone to two of the congresswoman’s grandsons, Kirk and David Johnson; to two of her great-nephews, Gregory and Preston Moore; and to [staff member Rod] Givens’ son and daughter. Givens did not respond to requests for comment, and none of the scholarship recipients could be reached.

We demand that these charges be withdrawn. We’re certain that little Kirk and David, little Gregory and Preston, and all the rest were simply the most deserving students Johnson could find.

Any other conclusion is raaaacism!

General Motors is spending your tax dollars on political contributions to Democrats

As would be expected, General Motors (GM) suspended all political donations when it went into bankruptcy last year. We thought they might actually continue that policy. No such luck.

As would be expected, General Motors suspended all political donations when it went into bankruptcy last year. We thought they might actually continue that policy as long as 61% of the company’s stock was owned by the American taxpayers.

No such luck.

Fox Nation tells how your tax dollars found a new home with the corrupt Congressional Black Caucus:

The carmaker gave $41,000 to groups associated with lawmakers, the vast majority of it — $36,000 — to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the company reported on a disclosure form last week. The CBC Foundation is a charity with 11 members of the Congressional Black Caucus on its board.

“We’ve always given to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation as far back as anyone can remember,” said Greg Martin, GM spokesman. “Our commitment remains unabated, and we continue to be a proud supporter of their work to advance economic development in communities throughout the U.S.”

Henry Ford said, “You can have it in any color you want as long as it’s black.” General Motors has apparently amended that to, “You can have it in any color you want as long as it’s the Congressional Black Caucus.”

Congratulate us! We are now the leaders of the Congressional Black Caucus!

The Congressional Black Caucus announced Tuesday that it hates the media, too. Take it from us, it feels good to be leaders, the people that others willingly follow.

The Congressional Black Caucus announced Tuesday that it hates the media, too.

Take it from us, it feels good to be leaders, the people that others willingly follow. This must be how MacArthur felt, how Patton felt, or in this case, perhaps, how Custer felt.

Embrace the hate, Barbara. Repeat after us, "IHateTheMedia.com, IHateTheMedia.com, IHateTheMedia.com."

The Hill tells the tale of our potential new readers:

The chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) on Tuesday blamed the media for overhyping the fallout over Rep. Maxine Waters’s ethics trial.

Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) said in a statement that people should not prejudge Waters (D-Calif.), a member of the CBC, until the ethics process plays out.

“The House of Representatives has a long-standing and well established ethics process, which should be allowed to proceed without prejudging the outcome,” she said. “Although the alleged charges remain unclear, some in the media have sought to indict Congresswoman Waters in clear disregard of her right to a fair and due process.”

Life is good here at IHateTheMedia.com, Barbara, and we warmly welcome you and your band of corrupt cohorts.

Words fail us. We simply cannot express how excited we are to know that we are now the leaders of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Democrat Congressman thinks you’ll be itchin’ for a lynchin’ if Joe Wilson isn’t rebuked

Georgia Democrat Hank Johnson fears that a failure to rebuke South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson will prompt you to get your favorite white hood and robe out of the closet and head for the nearest the Ku Klux Klan meeting, perhaps stopping along the way to lynch a few random darkies.

Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson thinks this is a photo of you.
Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson thinks this is a photo of you.

Would we be accused of racism if we said Georgia Democrat Hank Johnson is an idiot?

Johnson is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. You know, the group that traveled to Havana last year to besar el culo de Castro. (Correct translation provided by reader Antonio).

This duly-elected Democrat fears that a failure to rebuke South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson will prompt you to get your favorite white hood and robe out of the closet and head for the nearest the Ku Klux Klan meeting, perhaps stopping along the way to lynch a few random darkies.

According to Fox News, Johnson says, “…people will be putting on white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside” if emerging racist attitudes, which he says were subtly supported by Wilson, are not rebuked. He said Wilson must be disciplined as an example.

All this because Joe Wilson had the guts to call Obama a liar — accurately, we might add — to his face.

Just our luck. Our white hoods and robes are at the dry cleaners and won’t be ready until next Monday, so we’ll probably miss the next Klan meeting. Please call us and let us know how it went.

Congressional Black Caucus to be renamed Congressional Black Circus

Unidentified member of the Congressional Black Circus on his way to the U.N. Racism Conference
The President of the United States is a former member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Yet he has remained strangely slient regarding the group’s recent efforts to become the biggest circus this side of Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey.

First, the group made a high-profile visit to Cuba last month. Members of the Caucus embarrassed themselves by acting aged dictator Fidel Castro’s rock ‘n roll groupies.

Now they’ve taken Obama to task for doing something right — boycotting the UN racism conference, the follow-up to a 2001 confab that defined Zionism as racism. The conference was also boycotted by Israel, Canada, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands and Australia.

The Telegraph UK describes it this way: “Only the United Nations could hold an ‘anti-racism’ conference that is actually a celebration of anti-Semitism featuring genocidal maniacs like Iranian president and holocaust denier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. World leaders are already gathering for the Durban Review Conference in Geneva to be held from April 20-24, one of the biggest hate fests on the planet, wasting millions of dollars.”

Members of the Congressional Black Circus attended the hatefest on their own. But we suspect the American taxpayers will somehow end up footing the bill.

It’s called “World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance.”

Hey, at least they left out “Tea Parties.”
