The two most valuable words ever spoken

You undoubtedly remember that moment when South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson hollered “You lie” during President Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress. Wilson has become one of the country’s most popular politicians since that outburst.

joe-wilson You undoubtedly remember that moment when South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson hollered “You lie” during President Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress.

Wilson has become one of the country’s most popular politicians since that outburst. Democrats may not have liked it, but Republicans did. In fact, $2.7 million has flooded into his campaign coffers since that infamous moment.

Based on this development, look for Harry Reid to start screaming during Obama’s next speech.

NBC gave more coverage to Joe Wilson’s outburst than to Obama’s speech itself

Media Matters is apparently upset with the mainstream media’s coverage of President Obama recent speech to that Joint Session of Congress. “NBC featured nearly twice as much coverage of Wilson as Obama,” they noted.

Joe Wilson speaks truth to power. And power didn't like it.

Media Matters is apparently upset with the mainstream media’s coverage of President Obama recent speech to that Joint Session of Congress.

“NBC featured nearly twice as much coverage of Wilson as Obama,” they noted. “NBC’s Nightly News provided 3 minutes and 2 seconds of coverage of Obama’s September 9 joint address to Congress, compared to almost twice as much coverage — 5 minutes and 47 seconds — of Wilson’s outburst during that address.”

NBC unfair to Obama? Now there’s a headline.

Media Matters even provided really cool charts that showed minute by minute coverage by the three main networks (ABC, NBC, CBS).

However, by our unscientific finger count, Media Matters had five front page stories focusing on Glenn Beck and none focused on The Greatest President In History.

We’re waiting for the angry statement from Obama accusing Media Matters of Glenn Beck bias. We won’t hold our breath.

Hypocrisy on parade: Democrat Pete Stark called Bush a liar twice with no rebuke

Democrats, in an effort to maintain the moral purity of the House of Representatives, want to rebuke Republican Joe Wilson for calling President Obama a liar during his speech to a Joint Session of Congress. Democrats didn’t see the problem when radical Democrat Pete Stark called President Bush a liar twice on the floor of the House. Nope, no problem at all with that.

Democrats, in an effort to maintain the moral purity of the House of Representatives, want to rebuke Republican Joe Wilson for calling President Obama a liar during his speech to a Joint Session of Congress.

The fact that Obama’s speech was riddled with fabrications, disinformation and distortions is immaterial to the majority party.

As Rush Limbaugh pointed out on Tuesday, Democrats didn’t see the problem when radical Democrat Pete Stark called President Bush a liar twice on the floor of the House. Nope, no problem at all with that.

Democrat Congressman thinks you’ll be itchin’ for a lynchin’ if Joe Wilson isn’t rebuked

Georgia Democrat Hank Johnson fears that a failure to rebuke South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson will prompt you to get your favorite white hood and robe out of the closet and head for the nearest the Ku Klux Klan meeting, perhaps stopping along the way to lynch a few random darkies.

Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson thinks this is a photo of you.
Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson thinks this is a photo of you.

Would we be accused of racism if we said Georgia Democrat Hank Johnson is an idiot?

Johnson is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. You know, the group that traveled to Havana last year to besar el culo de Castro. (Correct translation provided by reader Antonio).

This duly-elected Democrat fears that a failure to rebuke South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson will prompt you to get your favorite white hood and robe out of the closet and head for the nearest the Ku Klux Klan meeting, perhaps stopping along the way to lynch a few random darkies.

According to Fox News, Johnson says, “…people will be putting on white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside” if emerging racist attitudes, which he says were subtly supported by Wilson, are not rebuked. He said Wilson must be disciplined as an example.

All this because Joe Wilson had the guts to call Obama a liar — accurately, we might add — to his face.

Just our luck. Our white hoods and robes are at the dry cleaners and won’t be ready until next Monday, so we’ll probably miss the next Klan meeting. Please call us and let us know how it went.

South Carolina congressman heckles Obama during healthcare speech, calls him “liar”

When South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson yelled out, “You lie,” during president Obama’s latest healthcare speech, he was either venting his anger or giving in to the voices in his head. We’re going with the former.

When South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson yelled out, “You lie,” during president Obama’s latest healthcare speech, he was either venting his anger or giving in to the voices in his head. We’re going with the former.

Apparently Obama’s statement that “There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally” proved too much for the Congressman.

Wilson’s actions did not sit well with many, even some members of his own party who may have been secretly wishing that they had the balls to yell out themselves.

“Anybody who would cat-call the president of the United States addressing this body is very, very inappropriate, and he will hear from a lot of us about that,” Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-Calif) told FOX News Radio.

Although Wilson has already apologized to the President, there have been shouts for his immediate resignation from Democrat blogs.

The best evidence of the shocking nature of the heckling could be seen while watching the reaction of Nancy Pelosi, who was seated immediately behind the President. After watching the incident repeatedly, Tivo owners report that shock proved more powerful than botox and that Speaker of the House’s expression actually changed.

Now Sean Penn is hot for Valerie Plame

valerie_plameFirst, Sean Penn played outed gay politician Harvey Milk. Now it looks like he may play the husband of outed CIA hussy Valerie Plame.

“Fair Game,” based on the memoirs by Plame and Wilson, is being made in to a big budget Hollywood fiasco. Tinsel town normally calls a biographic picture a “bio-pic,” but in this case it might be more appropriate to call it a “lie-o-pic.”

Producers are negotiating with Sean Penn to play Ambassador/Liar Joe Wilson. Naomi Watts is set to star as Plame. Doug Liman, director of “Mr & Mrs Smith,” will direct this one, too.

This is perfect. Fresh off making a complete ass of himself at the Academy Awards, Sean Penn could now make an ass out of Joe Wilson.

Correction: We should have said, “Sean Penn could now make an even bigger ass out of Wilson.”
