Slovenia First to Implement EU, Turkey Refugee Deal
Slovenia First to Implement EU, Turkey Refugee Deal. No more refugees without valid passports and visas. Turkey, a Muslim country evidently could care less about their fellow Muslims unless the EU is kicking them piles of cash.
Déjà vu all over again: Former Congresswoman/lunatic Cynthia McKinney aboard Gaza “Peace Flotilla”
We weren’t surprised to find out that former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney was a participant in the latest Gaza “Peace Flotilla.” We were just surprised that the left wing lunatic took more than a week to spout off about it.

Turkey’s state run TV network supports drama that shows Israeli soldiers as cold-blooded child killers
We don’t want you to think we’re exaggerating this story. So watch the embedded video to the 2:15 mark. It’s un-friggin-believable.

Sure, it may show an Israeli soldier killing a sweet, smiling young Palestinian girl at point blank range, but what the heck. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says the controversial drama Ayrilik (“Separation”) will continue to air.
Davutoglu said the government really has nothing to do with the issue. No, no, no. It’s all up to the state run Turkish Radio and Television Corp, which airs the show.
“This is a matter to be evaluated entirely as part of their broadcast policies,” he said. “Turkey does not have censorship.”
Of course, this comes from a report from the state run Anotolia news agency in a story about the state run television network. But the state run Turkish government bears absolutely no state run responsibility.
Naturally.

It’s the Turkish version of the Fairness Doctrine
The Turkish government has escalated its war on the free press to a new level by imposing a $500,000,000 fine on the Dogan Media Group, a Turkish publishing company. Dogan says it will fight the fine in court.
The Turkish Journalists’ Society has objected to the fine and called it a dangerous way to silence press outlets that criticize the government.
“Mr. Prime Minister’s anger caused by the news stories he disliked,” said a TGC statement, “has turned into a concrete attempt to silence (media) with the extremely high tax levy imposed on the Dogan Media Group.”
We know we have readers in Turkey, so rest assured that we’re watching our P’s and Q’s. A half a billion dollar fine could put quite a dent in our petty cash.
