Darrell Brooks, the 40-year-old Milwaukee man accused of plowing a Ford Escape SUV through a Christmas parade in nearby Waukesha last year, has been found guilty of six intentional first-degree homicide counts and dozens of other charges – Wisconsin’s equivalent of murder – in a trial over the deaths of six and injuries to dozens more.

UK Member of Parliament says he may kill Miss California, kills career instead

Alan Duncan is a Member of Parliament in Great Britain. He wants to be Home Secretary, but after last night he may find himself unemployed instead.

The boneheaded MP was discussing Miss California, Carrie Prejean, on the BBC comedy show “Have I Got News For You” when he called Prejean a “silly bitch.” If would have been bad enough had he stopped there, but he didn’t.

“If you read that Miss California is murdered,” he said, “you will know it was me.”

At least we think that’s what he said. It was difficult to tell with his foot buried so deeply in his mouth.

Viewers complaints began flooding into the BBC and Britain’s Broadcasting Standards Authority almost immediately.

“Mr. Duncan has crossed the line,” said the Reverend George Hargreaves. “A senior politician suggesting, even as a joke, that it is OK that Ms. Prejean should be murdered for her Evangelical Christian views is totally unacceptable.”

“If you read that my career is dead,” Duncan shold have said, “you will know it was me.”
