PATRIOTS REVOLT: Protesters Storm Minnesota City Hall After Pledge of Allegiance Ban, Chant ‘USA!’ All we can say is we need more of this at every Democrat run city hall, county, state capitol and Washington, DC.

Eugene, Oregon city council: Let’s not have any of that subversive Pledge of Allegiance stuff in our town

Surely no one who’s ever attended the University of Oregon was surprised to see that the Eugene city council has come out against the Pledge of Allegiance.

A personal note from the Editor: I’m a Duck. I graduated from the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism back when devices known as “typewriters” were still state of the art.

When I arrived in Eugene a stinky haze hung over the city. Locals blamed it on the local pulp mills, but what I smelled was actually the stench of liberalism.

Surely no one who’s ever attended the University of Oregon was surprised to see that the Eugene city council has come out against the Pledge of Allegiance.

One fine member of the council compared it to the Communist Manifesto. Not to be outdone, another wacko announced that she couldn’t pledge allegiance to the United States because she’s a citizen of the world.

She didn’t specify which world, but we assume she meant the third world into which we are rapidly descending.

NBC edits “under God” from Pledge of Allegiance, apologizes, but doesn’t say what it’s apologizing for

For some inexplicable reason NBC cut the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during it’s coverage of the U.S. Open golf tournament.

For some inexplicable reason NBC cut the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance during it’s coverage of the U.S. Open golf tournament.

It’s inexplicable to us, but perhaps you’re smarter than we are and can explic it.

Strange as this must have seemed to NBC, people noticed. They complained. In droves. And NBC began a tardy attempt at damage control by having Dan Hicks issue this vague apology on the air:

“We began our coverage of this final round just about three hours ago and when we did it was our intent to begin the coverage of this U.S. Open Championship with a feature that captured the patriotism of our national championship being held in our nation’s capital for the third time. Regrettably, a portion of the Pledge of Allegiance that was in that feature was edited out. It was not done to upset anyone and we’d like to apologize to those of you who were offended by it.”

A portion? What portion? The general statement doesn’t actually say.

NBC, which is owned in part by General Electric, a company so far up Obama’s butt that it can’t see daylight, omitted the same words Obama omitted from the Declaration of Independence in an April speech and from his Thanksgiving proclamation in November.

But please don’t read anything into this remarkable coincidence.

Harry Reid talks about how much he enjoys hearing the version of the Pledge of Allegiance that omits God

Harry Reid, Nevada’s senile Democrat Senator, really enjoys hearing the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of each Senate session. Interestingly, Harry’s version doesn’t include the words “under God.”

Senility or intentional? What’s your opinion?

Democrat leads Pledge in House, omits “under God,” claims she just paused and “took a breath”

Opponents dug up a video clip of the Minnesota Congresswoman leading the Pledge of Allegiance in the House of Representatives. They say she omitted the words “under God.” She says she “took a breath.”

Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCallum is not very happy. She’s also not very honest.

Opponents dug up a video clip of the Minnesota Congresswoman leading the Pledge of Allegiance in the House of Representatives. They say she omitted the words “under God.” She says she “took a breath.”

Here’s a press release posted on McCollum’s on Tuesday:

Congresswoman condemns radical right-wing agenda of hate, intolerance and racism

St. Paul, MN — Congresswoman Betty McCollum honors and respects the Pledge of Allegiance and believes the United States is one Nation under God. She has led the Pledge of Allegiance on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives numerous times as can be seen in these video links.

Conservatives are using an eight year old video clip to incite hate, racism, and intolerance among Tea Party Republicans. This right-wing effort to call into question Congresswoman McCollum’s Christian faith, her belief in God, and her patriotism is blatantly anti-American and all too similar to the extremists who earlier this year mailed a soiled American flag to her Congressional office and threatened the Congresswoman with violence.

Congresswoman McCollum rejects this radical agenda and condemns the extremist tactics behind this poisonous political exploitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

There are three possibilities here:

(1) She took a breath. (2) She intentionally omitted the words “under God.” (3) She doesn’t know the words to the Pledge.

We think it’s probably number three, since she also incorrectly inserted the word “the” in front of “allegiance” at the beginning of Pledge.

And the third possibility is probably the worst of the three.

What happens when the League of Women voters tries to stop Pledge of Allegiance at political debate?

The moderator at a League of Women Voters-sponsored debate attempts to begin the meeting without the Pledge of Allegiance. The audience had other ideas and spontaneously begins reciting the Pledge.

Step Two: The audience had other ideas and spontaneously begins reciting the Pledge.

Step Three: Moderator steps off the tracks to get out of the way of the moving train.

Remember when the League of Women Voters was a non-partisan, patriotic organization? When did that change?

Democrat congressman laughs at suggestion to start immigration rally with Pledge of Allegiance

Congressman Beccerra and the CHIRLA/SEIU rally leader appear baffled by the suggestion to begin a meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Congressman Xavier Beccerra (D-LaLaLand) is one of those congressmen. California liberals, that is.

So naturally, he laughed out loud when someone from the Ari David for Congress campaign showed up at an SEIU immigration rally and suggested that the meeting begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. Start the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance? Oh, man, that’s a good one. A real gut-buster.

Beccerra and the CHIRLA/SEIU rally leader appear baffled by this outrageous suggestion. But once the Pledge begins, they’re embarrassed into standing for it.

You can’t miss Beccerra. He’s the one on stage just to the left of the man in the orange jacket.

Consider this a glimpse into Obama’s future of America.

History repeats itself: Obama doesn’t get that national anthem thing

Remember back during the campaign when Obama didn’t quite get the concept of the National Anthem (bottom photo)? Based on recent Veterans Day ceremonies (top photo), he still doesn’t get it.

Maybe things would have been different if they’d been playing the Kenyan national anthem.
