You just can’t make this stuff up. No one would believe it. Luckily, Fox News was there to record the insane details:
Officials say an Ohio inmate who intentionally overdosed on pills hours before his scheduled execution has returned to prison and is on suicide watch.
Prisons spokeswoman Julie Walburn says 43-year-old Lawrence Reynolds Jr., who admitted taking an overdose of medication prescribed to him, arrived at the Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown shortly after noon on Tuesday.
Walburn says Reynolds is isolated from other inmates and under constant observation.
Reynolds was treated at a Youngstown hospital after he was found unconscious in his death row cell Sunday night.
The type of drug he used and why it was prescribed aren’t being disclosed. How he accumulated the pills is under investigation.
Reynolds’ execution for the 1994 murder of his neighbor near Akron has been rescheduled to next week.
In summation: a guy who is hours away from being executed tries to kill himself. The state spends thousands of tax dollars to save his worthless life so they can turn around and spend millions of additional tax dollars to execute him.
Where the hell is Dr. Kevorkian when we need him?

A seven-month-old girl miraculously survived alone for three days after one of her parents shot her in the chest – apparently as part of a bizarre murder-suicide pact blamed on global warming.

A seven-month-old girl miraculously survived alone for three days after one of her parents shot her in the chest – apparently as part of a bizarre murder-suicide pact blamed on global warming.
The baby was discovered with a bullet casing in her chest and covered with blood by police in the Argentinean city of Goya, near the bodies of her parents and 2-year-old brother, the Latin American Herald reported Saturday.
Police broke into the home after neighbors complained of a stench coming from the house. The boy was found with a gunshot wound in his back, while his parents died from gunshot wounds to the chest.
The parents, 56-year-old Francisco Lotero and 23-year-old Miriam Coletti, are believed to have been spurred by their fears about global climate change, London’s Telegraph reported.
A letter was found on a table expressing the couple’s anger at the government for not responding to the environmental crisis.
As a result of these tragic and truly needless deaths, we can no longer say Teddy Kennedy’s car has killed more people than global warming has.
So we bid a fond farewell to Lotero family and a great bumper sticker.

The Sun UK reports that Michael Jackson fans are offing themselves a bit too often. Life without a grotesque child molester, it seems, just isn’t worth living.
According to Michael Jackson’s largest online fan club, MJ fanatics have been recently committing suicide because of the pop star’s tragic death.
The Sun is reporting that up to 12 die-hard Jackson followers have taken their own lives since his passing on Thursday.
In this case, “die-hard” was probably an inappropriate choice of words.

In a rapidly changing world, there’s always one thing you can count on: Remarkably graphic, if not always tasteful, headlines from the New York Post.
For example, they announced the possibly accidental, possible suicide, possible homicide death of actor David Carridine with the headline “Hung Fu.”
On one hand, we can say it’s incredibly tasteless.
On the other hand, the odds of a guy accidentally hanging himself while performing auto-erotic asphyxiation in a town called Bangkok while making a movie called “Stretch” would be unbelievable if someone made it up.
It’s the tragic-comic trifecta.

This is a tragic story. But let it serve as a chilling warning that the internet must remain free. Let’s just let the people who broke the story explain it in their own words:
Omid Reza Mir Sayafi, a 29-year old Iranian blogger and journalist died in Evin Prison in Tehran on March 18. In December, he was sentenced to two and half years in prison for allegedly insulting religious leaders, and engaging in propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mir Sayafi was still awaiting an additional trial for insulting Islam.
According to the Human Rights activists in Iran website, Omid Reza suffered from deep depression in jail and was prescribed medications of which he apparently took too many. Dr. Hesam Firouzi, a jailed doctor and human rights activist says he urged prison authorities to send Omid Reza to a hospital outside prison but that prison doctors refused, and would not perform even basic tests.
A campaign has been launched in Facebook to “Hold Iran Responsible for Death of Blogger Mirsayafi in Prison”.
Blogger Mojtaba Saminejad says Omid Reza had communicated to him two days before his death that he would possibly be allowed to exit the prison in the coming days to visit a hospital. The blogger says he was led to expect better news than this.
Omid Reza said his blog was cultural and it was not his intention to insult anyone. The attached video is called “Iran: A Nation of Bloggers.”
