Ted Nugent meets Roseanne Barr. Unfortunately, he left his bow and arrows at home.

Anderson Cooper assembled one of the more eclectic group of panelists in recent history on Wednesday night: Motor City Madman Ted Nugent, formerly funny comedian Roseanne Barr and pollster Cornell Belcher.

Everyone was on their best behavior for most of the discussion, but you knew it had to erupt sooner or later. It didn’t disappoint.

Nugent: Chicago people don’t look very helped to me. It looks like a tragedy. Did he help Cabrini Green? Is that one of his projects?
Belcher: You go to keep trying to help people.
Nugent: No, you need to try to help people by scolding them to help themselves. If you keep rewarding them for sleeping in then they’ll never get out of slavery. Why would you support slavery?
Barr: I’m scolding you because you’re blaming the people at the bottom who have nothing whatsoever..
Nugent: I’m blaming people who refuse to be productive.
Barr: Why don’t you blame the people who have the blame? Why aren’t you ever…
Nugent: Why do you want to people who have jobs and produce things?
Barr: I want to blame the Koch brothers and the billionaires and all the people who robbed the taxpayers of this country, absolutely.
Nugent: The government is the one who’s robbed the taxpayers this of country.
Barr: What would we do without government? Expect the rich people to take care of the poor? Are you crazy?
Nugent: The rich people are the ones providing jobs.
Barr: No, they’re not. There are no jobs. There are no jobs and rich people…
Nugent: Rich people who put all their lives the line to get creative.
Barr: Rich people don’t pay squat and it’s proven.

You know Nugent was thinking, “Wonder how long it will take me to bag my limit when Roseann season opens.”

Ted Nugent says, “I don’t like repeat offenders. I like dead offenders.”

Ted Nugent starts off by calling Hilary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein “a gaggle of numbnuts,” but that’s just a warm-up for other comments.

Always-entertaining and refreshingly-blunt rock star Ted Nugent, also known as the Motor City Madman, talks about the Second Amendment with Texas Monthly’s Evan Smith. He starts off by calling Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein “a gaggle of numbnuts,” but that’s just a warm-up for other comments.

Two words: Nugent 2012.

Ted Nugent to hunt human beings on new TV series

"Ted Nugent is looking for you." Words we hope we never hear.
"Ted Nugent is looking for you." Words we hope we never hear.

Yes, you read that headline correctly. The Motor City Madman is starring in a new TV series called “Runnin’ Wild…from Ted Nugent.”

It’s one of the oddest TV concepts ever, but would you expect anything less from Mr. Nugent? The “reality-competition” series will show the conservative rock star and hunting advocate teaching ordinary people how to survive in the wild.

Now at this point, you might be saying, “That doesn’t sound so odd.” Not so fast, bucko, because here’s where it starts to get weird.

After he teaches them to survive in the wild, Ted and his 18-year old son Rocco track the contestants down as if they’re wild game.

CMT has ordered eight episodes of “Runnin’ Wild …From Ted Nugent” and the show premieres in August.

If Ted wants to make this show even more fun, he should let viewers vote to determine who he’ll hunt down each week.

Our first nominee is Michael Moore. Who would you choose?

Associated Press thinks Michael Moore’s opinion is 2.1 times more important than Ted Nugent’s

ted_nugent1 The Associated Press makes it pretty clear where they come down politically. In fact, they couldn’t disguise it if they tried.

Take Saturday’s AP story on Detroit, for example. They asked three homegrown Detroit celebrities – Michael Moore, Ted Nugent, and Mary Wilson – about the city’s troubles.

They lead off with liberal fantasy moviemaker Moore, giving him seven paragraphs and 204 words. Yet conservative Motor City Madman Nugent merits only two paragraphs and 96 words (previous article). Even politically unannounced former Supreme Wilson tops that with four paragraphs and 104 words. The story even allowed Moore a chance to promote his new “documentary,” but mentioned no current or future projects from Nugent nor Wilson.

We’d like to propose a debate between the Moore and Nugent. A ten round debate. Mary Wilson can be the ring girl. Sell tickets. Bingo. Detroit’s financial problems are solved.

Mortgage your house. Put the money on Nugent.

We’re geniuses.
