Organisers of the games in China have hired four cheerleader squads, each made up of eight girls, to entertain fans during breaks in the volleyball action, according to the Tianfu Morning News.
But Yemen beach volleyballer Adeeb Mahfoudh has now accused the squads of being distracting, and partly to blame for their defeat to Indonesia.
“They had an effect on how we played,” he said. “I think they had something to do with our losing the match.
Besides cheering, the girls also perform routines that include traditional Chinese elements including martial arts and fan dancing.
“These girls are very beautiful. With them here, more people will pay attention to beach volleyball,” Mr Mahfoudh added.
“If I can, I hope to watch them perform at the next match.”
This is a huge advance in international relations. As far as we can recall, it’s the first time any Arab loss wasn’t blamed on the Jews or George Bush.

The war in Yemen also reveals at least one massive hypocrisy on the Left. For all of their talk about the problem with America being that we do business with evil dictatorships around the world, Democrat controlled America sure does appear to be working side by side with the Saudis to fight on their behalf against a Sunni-Shia Jihad alliance/insurgency. Or, perhaps that’s why the President of the United States shouldn’t be seen bowing to the Saudi King. It makes it that much harder to argue that America isn’t doing the king’s bidding in Yemen.
In reality, we think this all mostly falls under “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” In this case, Sunni and Shia terrorists operate as friends (al-Qaeda) against their enemies in the Saudi Royal Family and America, while America operates as friends with Saudi royal family against the Sunni-Shia al-Qaeda factions.
And for all of those Lefties out there who insist that the Sunni and Shia can never work together because they hate each other so much, your theory appears to die with al-Qaeda in Yemen.
Let’s just hope that not too many other things have to die because of these lunatics.

Two of the “innocent” terrorists released from Gitmo are now appearing in a chilling jihadist website video.
According to anti-terrorism experts, Abu Sufyan al-Azdi al-Shahri, or prisoner number 372, now holds an executive position with Al-Qaeda in Yemen. Abu al-Hareth Muhammad al-Oufi, or prisoner number 333, is now an Al-Qaeda field commander.
American network talent scouts, always on the prowl for talent, were quick to note the duo’s charismatic screen presence.
“We’re developing a Hannity & Colmes style show for them,” said an executive with NBC. “We’ll call it ‘al-Shahri & al-Oufi.’”
