The race for United States Senate in Pennsylvania has gone to the dogs. Literally.
Who thought this was a good idea? Joe Sestak’s new commercial may qualify as not only the most tasteless campaign commercial of the year, but the stupidest.

Joe Sestak, the Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, actually said he doesn’t know if Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is a liberal. And he expected his constituents to believe it.

Based on that level of ignorance, we assume Sestak would also say he doesn’t know which arm Lefty Gomez threw with.
But take it from us, Joe, no matter what arm Gomez threw with, it wasn’t as far to the left as Pelosi.
Aha, Mr. President! You’re a pretty clever guy, graduating from Columbia and Harvard and all, but you have to get up pretty early in the a.m. to fool the boys at IHateTheMedia.com.

You gave Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus a new part time job as your Oil Spill Czar, but we see this clever ploy for what it really is – a way to move Mabus out of the way so Joe Sestak can finally be given that Secretary of the Navy job you promised him.
The Associated Press has the devious details:
President Barack Obama’s point man charting a new future for the oil-poisoned Gulf Coast will do the job part-time. Some environmentalists said the job demands someone’s full attention.
Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, who oversees 900,000 Navy and Marine personnel, is inheriting an amorphous second job as the Obama administration’s leader of long-term environmental and economic planning. His task is no less than rebuilding a region still suffering afterHurricane Katrina and beset by decades of environmental problems.
Mabus won’t resign from his Navy job. When President George W. Bush picked Donald Powell to lead the recovery after Hurricane Katrina, Powell resigned as head of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
“The president talked to the governor about this, and they both agreed that he had the ability to do both,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Thursday after Mabus met with Obama at the White House.
Mabus, a proven multi-tasker, will also find time to wash Rahm Emanuel’s car and pick up Robert Gibb’s dry cleaning. Because, you know, running the world’s largest navy and cleaning up the nation’s worst environmental disaster are just part time jobs.

Media Matters is unhappy with ABC News. Very unhappy. Rather than rely on any of the junior fellows around the office, “Senior Fellow” Eric Boehlert took on the task of critiquing the network for what left wing lunatics perceived as improper use of the word “job.”

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked why it took the White House three months to answer questions on the Sestakgate™ if the incident was as insignificant as he had told reporters it was?

Sestekgate™ is what you call a really catchy moniker and we expect that all those damn copycat blogs will be ripping us off before you finish reading this story. But moving along to the story.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked why it took the White House three months to answer questions on the Sestakgate™ if the incident was as insignificant as he had told reporters it was?
Robert Gibbs responded with the classic “I’ll have to ask counsel for a better answer on that.”
You know there’s a lot more to the story when a member of the President’s staff invokes the word “counsel”. Well, that and because Gibbsy breaks out in a cold sweat every time a reporter veers anywhere near the story.
Sestakgate™. You heard it here first.
Here is a candid moment on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show when Mika Mxyzptlk asked Time editor Rick Stengel if the magazine’s latest issue would cover the Joe Sestak story.
There’s nothing more revealing than those candid moments when libs are caught with his pants down (no Barney Frank reference intended).
In this case, we’re referring to the candid moment on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show when Mika Mxyzptlk asked Time editor Rick Stengel if the magazine’s latest issue would cover the Joe Sestak story.
Stengel was baffled. He stuttered. He stammered. He tried to fake it until Mika cattle prodded the inner recesses of his mind by saying, “The Sestak controversy. Joe Sestak.”
“Oh, Sestak.” Stengel said. “No. No. There is not. There is not.”
Time isn’t interested in this story. And you shouldn’t be, either. Barack Obama said so.
Let’s just say that California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa isn’t buying Obama’s Joe Sestak story. But then, who is?

As Issa tells CNN’s Dana Bash, “We can no longer trust this Administration.”
What took you so long, Darrell?
Pennsylvania Congessman Joe Sestak is adamant about his claim that the White House offered him a job (read “bribe”) as an incentive to drop out of the Pennsylvania Democrat Senate primary.

The White House responds with an unconvincing, “Huh? You talkin’ to us? What’d you say?”
Somebody’s flat out lying. Who do you think it is?
Turns out car dealers can’t pry money out of the federal government to pay for the clunkers they took in trade. So Democrat congressman Joe Sestak of Pennsylvania is demanding “immediate action” from President Obama to correct the problem that Democrats themselves caused by rushing the Cash-for-Clunkers fiasco into law.

Cash-for-Clunkers is so messed up that even a liberal Democrat is calling it messed up.

According to Sestak, only 2% of claims have been paid and 80% of the applications have been “rejected for minor oversight.”
Auto dealers across the fruited plain are pissed that the government’s Cash-for-Clunkers reimbursement payments are taking far longer than had been promised. Sestak says those complaints aren’t isolated incidents.
One billion dollars down. Another two billion to go. Ain’t big government great?
