Jackie Chan not sure if freedom is good, says Chinese people need to be controlled

Too many blows to the head = too much freedom.
Too many blows to the head = too much freedom.
Poor Jackie Chan. We now have proof that the Hong Kong movie star has taken too many blows to the head.

Chan made the following moronic comments while taking part in a panel discussion before an audience of Chinese business people.

“I’m not sure if it’s good to have freedom or not,” the actor said. “I’m really confused now. If you’re too free, you’re like the way Hong Kong is now. It’s very chaotic. Taiwan is also chaotic.”

“I’m gradually beginning to feel that we Chinese need to be controlled,” he added. “If we’re not being controlled, we’ll just do what we want.”

This sounds very strange coming from a guy who’s worked hard and made millions of dollars. But we think we’ve figured it out.

There is no Jackie Chan. It’s really just Margaret Cho in drag.

Birth of a controversy: Chinese pissed off at Mao condom ad

To the Chinese, this condom ad is pregnant with meaning.
To the Chinese, this condom ad is pregnant with meaning.
China’s official media protested a German condom ad that shows revolutionary leader Mao Zedong as a sperm cell. The campaign includes other ads featuring Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden.

The People’s Daily, the official newspaper of the Communist Party, devoted a full page to the controversy and demanded that the condom company apologize to China.

Grey Worldwide, one of the world’s largest ad agencies, created the safe sex ad for Doc Morris Pharmacies. They’ve reportedly sent a letter of apology to the Chinese consulate in Frankfurt.

Not all Chinese seem quite so angry, though. “I am a former worker who is now 70,” said one comment on the sina.com website. “I have thought about it a lot and I still cannot understand why these people defend Mao so strongly.”

He is survived by his wife, three children and seven grandchildren (all boys).

Another Obama nominee bites the dust, Queen tune nominated as administration theme song

Another week, another Obama nominee bites the dust. But at least this one had paid his taxes.

President Obama’s controversial choice to be Chairman of the National Intelligence Council has withdrawn his name from consideration for the post.

Charles W. Freeman blamed the “Israel lobby” for his problems. Others said the withdrawal had more to do with questions about Freeman’s financial ties to China and Saudi Arabia.

Financial ties to China and Saudi Arabia? Who does this guy think he is, Bill Clinton?

Speaking of Bill Clinton, remember how the Clinton campaign was so successful using Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow” as its theme song?

We think it’s time for you to choose a theme song for your administration, Mr. President. May we suggest the little ditty performed by Queen in the attached video. Certainly seems appropriate.

Don’t thank us, Mr. President. We’re here for you.

Coalition of dictatorships says China is democratic wonderland

The U.N. Human Rights Council has just rejected allegations that China suppressed dissent, restricted free speech and repressed minorities in Tibet and Xinjiang.

In fact, China won praise from some of the world’s most oppressive regimes — including Sudan, Cuba, Iran, Burma, Egypt and Zimbabwe.

“There is no censorship in China,” a Chinese representative insisted. Then he added that Chinese citizens are free to worship and to follow whatever religion they choose.

Chinese envoy Li Baodong angrily stated that Western and Latin American nations that had raised allegations of abuse were merely politicizing human rights issues.

In related news, the U.N. Human Rights Council softball league announced that Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had been voted Most Valuable Player and that Libyan strongman Moammar Khadafi was named Comeback Player of the Year.

Did the Chinese fake their space walk? Hmmmmm.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us8xLsQ1MIE&eurl=http://presurfer.blogspot.com/We’re not conspiracy theory wackos. We absolutely believe American astronauts walked on the moon. Twelve of them on six different missions. They loped around, smacked golf balls, drove that little dune buggy, all that stuff.

But take a look at this video. It claims to reveal the truth behind the Chinese space walk. And it really makes you wonder if there was a little Sino-sleight of hand going on.

We hate the American media. They’ve proven they’re untrustworthy. But what’s this world coming to when you can’t trust the Chinese media?

China demonstrates how the Fairness Doctrine would work

Those wily Chinese always seem to be one step ahead of us lately. Even in implementing the Fairness Doctrine.

A protestor recently tossed a shoe at Chinese premier Wen – in imitation of the Iraqi reporter who hurled a shoe at President Bush – during his speech in England.

Chinese state-run newspapers and websites reported on Wen’s speech but ignored the shoe-throwing. Independent websites that mention the incident appear to have been censored. The official Xinhua News Agency reported that Britain apologized for an incident but never mentioned what what it was apologizing for.

Consider this a preview of American radio after politicians implement the Fairness Doctrine and begin their own favored programming.
