The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals lifted an injunction forbidding Texas from stripping Planned Parenthood of Medicaid funds Thursday, while stridently criticizing the abortion provider for its rhetoric and medical practices.

“Planned Parenthood’s reprehensible conduct, captured in undercover videos, proves that it is not a ‘qualified’ provider under the Medicaid Act, so we are confident we will ultimately prevail,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement after Thursday’s ruling.

Is it just us or does this sound remarkably similar to what the Democrats said about themselves after the November, 2010 elections.

But, of course, one should not be surprised that Planned Parenthood and the Democrat Party should present virtually the same argument since they’re virtually the same organization.

Our first thought on watching this video was, “Who?” Then we remembered when a young, slim, hot Kathleen Turner starred in movies like Body Heat and Romancing the Stone.

Our second thought was, “Wow. Get fat, lose career.”

Our fourth thought was, “We’re having trouble placing Kathleen’s accent. What country is she from?”

And our fifth and final thought was, “What’s with the hostess bimbo ending the interview with, ‘Love you’?”

But putting all that aside, turns out Kathleen Turner is very upset that those dastardly Republicans want to strip federal funding from that well-know abortion mill, Planned Parenthood. So she showed up on Good Morning America to explain what “most women in America” believe.

The New Hampshire Register has the specifics:

An elderly woman’s alleged threat to castrate a politician brought FBI agents and a town police officer to Nortontown Road Tuesday afternoon, but no arrest was made.

Authorities went to the woman’s home after receiving a report that she called a politician Tuesday to threaten harm because the politician wants to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. Police say the woman, who is in her 80s, was “very upset” about the possible funding cut because she used to volunteer with the organization.

The FBI found that the woman did make the threat and that the politician did not confuse the meaning of the phone call — it was meant to be threatening, police said. However, authorities determined the threat “wasn’t credible” and that the woman was not going to act on it, according to police. Guilford police are unsure which politician was threatened, and the FBI investigating agent could not be reached for comment.

Police declined to name the elderly woman.

Hmmmm. Nancy Pelosi is older than we thought.

“State spending has been reset to levels the taxpayers can afford,” said Christie in a message to New Jersey’s Democrat-dominated legislature. “Supplemental spending that would return to the unchecked spending and out of control budget shortfalls of the past will not make it past the Governor’s desk.”

Marie Tasy, executive director of New Jersey Right to Life, applauded Christie’s veto.

“The taxpayers of New Jersey are under no obligation to fund the radical and failed social agenda of Planned Parenthood,’’ she said. “We commend Governor Christie for his steadfast opposition to restoring these funds.”

Christie seems to have sucked the life out of New Jersey’s Democrats, which, considering that we’re talking about abortionists, seems only fair.
