No, this is not about tomorrow’s World Cup soccer game, it’s the latest diplomatic war that our ass-kicking president has started. Now that he’s completely destroyed our alliance with Israel, his next stop is Britain. Our Chicago Smart Ass In Chief, seemingly hell-bent on destroying relations with every country on earth (except Iran, of course), has been purposefully calling the international oil company BP by it’s old name, British Petroleum, a name not in use for the last 12 years. The Brits in this CNBC interview are not happy chaps. Not at all.
But maybe Barry can repair relations with another 25 DVD boxed gift set.
Mr. President, whose side are you on? After 17 months of isolating Israel and after 17 months of cozying up to her enemies, it seems like a reasonable but rhetorical question. And we’re glad Mike Pence had the balls to stand up in the House of Representatives and ask it.
Mr. President, whose side are you on? After 17 months of isolating Israel and after 17 months of cozying up to her enemies, it seems like a reasonable but rhetorical question. And we’re glad Mike Pence had the balls to stand up in the House of Representatives and ask it.
Here’s the complete transcript of Pence’s comments:
“We all grieve the loss of life that occurred last week when a flotilla designed to challenge Israel’s effective blockade of Gaza ended in military confrontation. But Israel has a right to defend itself.
“The history is clear in that region; Gaza is controlled by a terrorist organization known as Hamas. Hamas used Gaza as a launching pad for thousands of rockets that killed innocent civilians in Israel. Israel responded with military force and has instituted a blockade that has saved lives in Gaza and in Israel. And there’s no humanitarian crisis. Ten thousand tons of food and medical supplies are transferred into Gaza every single week.
“Remarkably, yesterday the president said it was time for Israel to sharply limit its effective blockade in Gaza, saying ‘the situation in Gaza is unsustainable.’
“The truth is, Mr. President, your policy in Israel is unsustainable.“The American people are on the side of Israel and Israel’s right to defend herself.
“Mr. President, whose side are you on?”
Yup, we’re pretty sure that’s a rhetorical question.

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour talked to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday about President Obama’s less-than-impressive performance on the Gusher in the Gulf.
Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour talked to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday about President Obama’s less-than-impressive performance on the Gusher in the Gulf.
“The American people will make their own judgments,” Barbour said. “…Like Napoleon said, ‘Never interfere with your enemy when he’s in the process of destroying himself.’”
He didn’t say the word “Waterloo”, but sure seemed to be implying it.
Two hundred coffee mugs (probably tea mugs in the land down under) created to celebrate Obama’s upcoming visit to Australia had to be destroyed because they misspelled the President’s name.

Kevin Rudd, Australian Prime Minister and Barack Obama’s leading international bootlicker, must be embarrassed.
Two hundred coffee mugs (probably tea mugs in the land down under) created to celebrate Obama’s upcoming visit to Australia had to be destroyed because they misspelled the President’s name.
The Australian reports the typographic tragedy:
The mugs were ordered about ten days ago by Secretary of the Department of Parliamentary Services Alan Thompson on the suggestion of some the department’s staff.
The mugs carried pictures of the President’s face with his first name spelt as “Barrack”.
Mr Thompson told The Australian Online the mugs were manufactured in China or Vietnam but the branding had been conducted by an Australian company in Queensland.
However, he has taken responsibility for the spelling mistake and believes at this stage that the error “may have occurred inside the department”.
“We’ve got to take accountability for the misspelling,” he told The Australian Online.
Despite the mistake, two of the mugs were sold this morning before a staff member at the gift shop spotted the error.
The cost to produce each mug was $5 and they were to be sold at the gift shop at a price of $10.
In addition to getting the spelling of the President’s name wrong, the Aussies also got his economics wrong. If they really wanted to properly honor this president, they would have spent $10 to produce the mugs and sold them for $5.
That’s just Obamanomics 101.

At least that’s how former Gulf Coast Obamaniacs seem to feel. Metaphorically speaking, that is.
The Associated Press has the heartbreaking details of a love affair gone bad:
The widening scope of the disaster deepened the anger and despair just as Obama arrived for his third visit to the stricken Gulf Coast.
On Obama’s trip to the Grand Isle on the Louisiana coast, his motorcade passed a building that had been adorned with his portrait reminiscent of posters of him during his presidential campaign. Instead of “hope” or “change,” the words “what now?” were on his forehead.

Looks like Barack Obama has only two remaining allies in his theory that you can spend your way out of debt – John Maynard Keynes, who’s been dead for 64 years, and Greece, which will soon assume economic room temperature.

The Financial Times reports the G20’s return to reality:
The communiqué of the meeting made it clear that the G20 no longer thought that expansionary fiscal policy was sustainable or effective in fostering an economic recovery because investors were no longer confident about some countries’ public finances. “The recent events highlight the importance of sustainable public finances and the need for our countries to put in place credible, growth-friendly measures, to deliver fiscal sustainability,” the communiqué stated.
“Those countries with serious fiscal challenges need to accelerate the pace of consolidation,” it added. “We welcome the recent announcements by some countries to reduce their deficits in 2010 and strengthen their fiscal frameworks and institutions”.
These words were in marked contrast to the G20’s previous communiqué from late April, which called for fiscal support to “be maintained until the recovery is firmly driven by the private sector and becomes more entrenched”.

His supporters called him The Greatest President In History before he had even been inaugurated. Now the junior senator from Louisiana has revealed his slightly less complimentary nickname for Barack Obama: Joe Cool.
“My personal nickname for the president is Joe Cool,” David Vitter said. “But I don’t want Joe Cool, who’s always laid back and calm and collected in this crisis. I want a leader, I want somebody who’s passionate and absolutely grabs the reigns and takes the reins. The President is beginning to do that more, I’ve seen that ramp up a little bit with the last few visits to Louisiana, but we’re not still anywhere where we need to be in that regard.”
Don’t you worry, Senator Vitter. Our sources at the White House indicate that now that the Paul McCartney concert is out of the way, the President will show some real passion for your little oil spill, as soon as the NBA championships are over.

Throws like a girl. Wears mom pants. Looks like a geek on a bike. Shows subservience to every foreign leader. Puts up curtains while working on a Habitat for Humanity house. Can’t bowl. Strikes effeminate poses. Drinks his beer like he’s at a tea party. Eats hotdogs with a little too much gusto (if you know what we mean). Gives man hugs a little too freely.

“I was down there a month ago,” the Hard Ass in Chief said, “before most of these talkin’ heads were even paying attention to the Gulf. A month ago I was meetin’ with fishermen down there, standin’ in the rain talkin’ about what a potential crisis this could be, and I don’t sit around just talkin’ to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick.”

Anti-Obama billboards are spreading even faster than the White House can spread bullshit. And they’re all being paid for by individuals who dig deep into their own pockets to express their opinions.

Anti-Obama billboards are spreading even faster than the White House can spread bullshit. And they’re all being paid for by individuals who dig deep into their own pockets to express their opinions.
CNS News has the details on the latest one:
Thanks to an advertiser who wishes to remain anonymous, cars and trucks on Arizona Highway 260 in East Central Arizona are driving by a billboard advertisement that recently went up, bearing President Obama’s face on what appears to be a mock U.S. $100,000,000,000,000 (One-Hundred Trillion Dollar) bill.
The billboard’s caption: “But Who Will Pay the Piper?”
Chuck Perrine of Jones Outdoor advertising in Tucson, Ariz., confirmed to CNSNews.com that his company created the 10 ft- by-40 ft. billboard, which he said “went up within the last month.”
You can see the billboard for yourself by driving to Linden, Arizona, a wide spot in the road about 170 miles northeast of Phoenix.
We suspect that this billboard might be the only reason you’d want to visit Linden.

Now hold on us a gol’ danged minute. We thought this President was cool, calm and collected. We thought he was a Harvard-educated intellectual, the smartest man who’s ever occupied the Oval Office. We thought he was going to resolve conflict by extending his hand in peace and listening to his adversaries.
Now hold on just a gol’ danged minute. We thought this President was cool, calm and collected. We thought he was a Harvard-educated intellectual, the smartest man who’s ever occupied the Oval Office. We thought he was going to resolve conflict by extending his hand in peace and listening to his adversaries.
Nah, that was last week before the polls started to slip. Now that he’s catching flak for his dazed and confused response to the Gusher in the Gulf, he’s turned tough guy. Kind of like that episode of Star Trek where Kirk turned gangster to deal with a planet run by gangsters.
“I was down there a month ago,” the Hard Ass in Chief said, “before most of these talkin’ heads were even paying attention to the gulf. An ass kickin’?
There’s nothing sadder than a Democrat tryin’ to sound like one of those average Americans. Remember John Kerry, that other noted intellectual, sayin’, “Can I get me a huntin’ license here?”
Don’t look now, Mr. President, but the polls are slippin’ again. And phony tough guy talk won’t solve your problem as easily as it solved Captain Kirk’s.
Here’s something you don’t see every day of the week. Obama singing, “Hey, Jude.”
“Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?”
“Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Nah, nah, nah, nah.”
Wish we could have been there back in the day. You know, back when Obama was out in the streets, keepin’ it real, impressin’ all the other brothers with his ability to sing Beatles’ songs.
Mickey Kaus, seeming a bit insulted that Obama hasn’t yet offered him a Joe Sestak-like bribe, he listed the three jobs with which the President could induce him to drop out of the race.

Damn, we love Mickey Kaus, the guy who’s running against Barbara Boxer in California’s Democrat primary on Tuesday.
First, he proudly announced that he was most qualified for Boxer’s job because he hadn’t been endorsed by the L.A. Times. Then he ran one of the cleverest political commercials we’ve ever seen.
Now, seeming a bit insulted that Obama hasn’t yet offered him a Joe Sestak-like bribe, he listed the three jobs with which the President could induce him to drop out of the race.
The Los Angeles Times reveals what they are:

Jane Norton, Colorado’s Republican Lieutenant Governor and candidate for the U.S. Senate, could teach President Obama a few things about how to throw a baseball.
Jane Norton, Colorado’s Republican Lieutenant Governor and candidate for the U.S. Senate, tossed out the ceremonial first pitch of the National Junior College World Series – an 81 mile an hour heater right down the middle of the plate. In contrast, President Obama’s opening day pitches have always looked like something daughter Sasha might throw.
But in Obama’s defense, they probably didn’t play baseball in Kenya or Indonesia or wherever he grew up.
Breitbart.tv put together this great video compilation of the Obama ripping President Bush a new one for his administration’s “unconscionable ineptitude” in New Orleans following Katrina.
Just about the same time that oil from the Gusher in the Gulf began washing ashore on the pristine white sands of Pensacola, Florida, President Obama hosted a Paul McCartney concert at the White House on Wednesday night.
Do not mistake this for resting because, you know, the President assured us that he wouldn’t rest until that damn hole is plugged. In the President’s defense, listening to the pompous 70-year old former Beatle sing for two hours has definitely become more work than pleasure so we do not believe it qualifies as “rest” on Obama’s part.

Clinton: Here’s what you gotta do, Barack.
Obama: I’m taking notes.
Clinton: Visit a beach in Louisiana.
Obama: Good idea. It’s been a while since America’s seen my sculpted pecs.
Clinton: Cool down, big fella. We’re going for the concerned leader shot. I want you to squat in the sand.
Obama: Squat?
Clinton: In the sand. Then get a faraway look on your face that says, “It’s me against the world.”
Obama: Then what?
Clinton: Then you reach down and pick up a little something out of the sand.
Obama: Like what?
Clinton: Well, I picked up rocks in Normandy in ’94. The press ate it up. But since this is an oil spill photo op, pick up something oily.
Obama: How about one of those little oil balls?
Clinton: (laughing) Ha, ha, ha. Oil Balls. That’s what Monica called me.
Obama: You’re sure this will work, Bill?
Clinton: Trust me. The press eats this stuff up. (Aside) I can’t believe Hillary lost to this guy.

Barack Obama: “I grew up in Hawaii, where the ocean is sacred.” He was, we assume, referring to his childhood worship of Kanaloa, the Hawaiian god of the ocean.
Please prepare our places in the Bloggers Hall of Fame, because we’ve managed to squeeze two stories out of a single presidential sound bite.
“When I woke up this morning and I’m shaving, and Malia knocks on my bathroom door and she says — did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?” he said, recounting how often he thinks of the spill, adding, “I grew up in Hawaii, where the ocean is sacred.”

Hey, don’t blame us for calling the kid fat and stupid. We’re just repeating what the President and First Lady said.
Hey, don’t blame us for calling the kids fat and stupid. We’re just repeating what the President and First Lady said.
It’s amazing how this guy – the president, that is – tells the media that his daughters are off limits until he needs to use them as foils in a story meant to capture the media’s collective hearts.
First, during her war on childhood obesity, Michelle announced that the Obama family doctor advised her that the girls are a bit too plump and should lay off the sweets.
Then the President announced that Malia wasn’t studying hard enough and that her grades sucked.
But the President’s latest invocation of his children’s names was inspired by the oil blowout in the Gulf. It’s a bittersweet, but totally unbelievable story of childhood innocence lost.
“When I woke up this morning and I’m shaving, and Malia knocks on my bathroom door and she says — did you plug the hole yet Daddy?” the President said, noting that this is one of the reasons he is consumed by thoughts of the spill.
And then, we imagine, just as the President was wiping the last of the shaving cream off his ruggedly handsome, chiseled face, Malia said, “Daddy, what do you think we should do about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the proliteration of nuclear weapons? And what about that Arizona illegal alien law? Have you instructed the attorney general to fight it in court? And do you think the Greek debt crisis will spill over to the rest of the G-20? Do you, daddy? Do you?”
Yeah, right.
The End.
