Federal court blocks Biden admin mandate forcing doctors, hospitals to offer transgender surgeries. It’s about time some court got a clue.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on Friday ruled that the Biden administration cannot doctors and hospitals to perform gender transition surgeries against their religious convictions.

Deciding the case unanimously, the court upheld an earlier decision blocking the Department of Health and Human Services mandate requiring hospitals and doctors to offer the procedures.

The Catholic Franciscan Alliance and a group of more than 19,000 healthcare workers petitioned the lower court to block the policy as it would force them to go against their religious convictions.

Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, a Democrat from California, says the government needs to wake up and take a close look at the dangerous religious extremists who live among us.

Congratulations, Congresswomen Woolsey. It’s about time someone challenges those murderous Muslims.

What’s that? Woolsey wasn’t talking about murderous Muslims? She was talking about Catholics?

Yes, sir and yes, maam. Woolsey wants the IRS to investigate the possibility that the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops did something – anything, really – during the ObamaCare debate that might threaten its tax-exempt status. In a direct violation of the separation of church and state, Woolsey is almost praying that the IRS can dig up some dirt.

Job well done, Congresswoman Woolsey. We, too, have had our eye on those Catholics for a long time and we say it’s about time someone else catches on to them.

Those Saturday night bingo games are obviously terrorist fundraisers. And who really knows what the St. Vincent DePaul Society is doing with those old shirts we gave them.

Shape up, Catholics. Uncle Sam knows what you’re up to.

Allah ™

A Malay court will decide if a Catholic church will be able to continue to pray to Allah. The official language of Malaysia calls God Allah, and this particular church is trying to make a point. But the Muslims are not too happy about it, apparently believing they own the trademark. They are taking the church to court to forbid them from using the word Allah, as they argue its use by other faiths could cause cause confusion and conversions. Islam has 99 other names for Allah, you’d think they could spare one.

If the church can win this battle, we think they should offer 72 73 virgins for new converts from Islam.

Catholics riot over Pope cartoon, burn cars, demand death of cartoonist

pope condom cartoon Thousands of Catholics rioted in London today, burning cars and battling police while protesting what they called a “blasphemous” portrayal of Pope Benedict XVI in a Times of London cartoon.

Other Christian leaders called for the death of the cartoonist Peter Brooks for his appalling caricature of the Pope wearing a condom instead of his normal triregnum.

Oh, wait. We got our stories slightly confused. It was the Muslims who rioted over a cartoon of Allah. The Catholic response was a bit milder. They wrote letters.

“I was appalled at the tasteless cartoon depicting Pope Benedict XVI,” Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor wrote in a letter to the Times. “No newspaper should show such disrespect to a person who is held in high esteem by a large proportion of Christians in the world. To pillory the Pope in this way is totally unacceptable.

“We will not accept the Pope being made the object of mockery and offence, in the media or elsewhere,” said Angelo Bagnasco, an Italian Bishop. “He represents for everyone a moral authority, which this journey has made people appreciate even more.”

No word yet on whether cartoonist Brooks has gone into hiding to avoid a potential Catholic fatwah.

LA Times letter: Pope was trained by Hitler

If we ran a story as vile as the following letter that ran in the LA Times today, we’d be hounded off the internet. And rightfully so. Here it is:

“The Jesuits have a saying, ‘Give me the boy until he is 7, and I will give you the man.’ You can now add, ‘Give Adolf Hitler the boy until he is 7, and he will give you the pope.’”

The Times is obviously suffering from social schizophrenia. On one hand, its reporting seems to be virulently anti-Catholic. On the other hand, it supports illegal aliens at every turn, despite the fact that they are assumed to be overwhelmingly Catholic.

Must be like the war in Iraq. They support the troops, but not the mission.
