TV reporter has a nose for news. On second thought, maybe she doesn’t

Saphia Khambalia is a reporter for City TV in Toronto. In fact, she’s a very attractive reporter which makes this video clip even funnier.

Saphia Khambalia is a reporter for City TV in Toronto. In fact, she’s a very attractive reporter which makes this video clip even funnier.

She was doing a story on Charlie Sheen’s appearance at Toronoto’s Massey Hall when she had an unfortunate incident occur while she was on the air.

Toronto’s Daily Mail breathlessly describes the incident:

But as visible windy conditions bluster around her, the reporter’s nose begins to run seconds into her report. She manages to clear her nose once by combining it with a quick swish of her dark hair, only for the troubling watery stream to return seconds later. The embarrassed reporter attempts to hurriedly sign off her report and hand back to a studio colleague as her runny nose threatens to spoil her on-air appearance again. But she is powerless to prevent the nasal malfunction as the stream falls from her nose onto her microphone at the split second she finishes her piece.

We are incredibly proud right now that we were mature enough not to do any snot puns in this story.

Just when you thought Joe Biden couldn’t get any dumber

Holy friggin’ moly. Joe Biden never ceases to amaze. He’s the kind of politician who gives politicians a bad name. Here he is kissing the asses of European bureaucrats by telling them that Brussels – yes, Brussels – is the capitol of the free world. And we quote:

Holy friggin’ moly. Joe Biden never ceases to amaze. He’s the kind of politician who gives politicians a bad name.

Here he is kissing the asses of European bureaucrats by telling them that Brussels – yes, Brussels – is the capitol of the free world. And we quote:

“As you probably know, ladies and gentlemen, not only am I pleased to be back here in Brussels for the second time as vice president. As you probably know, some American politicians and American journalists refer to Washington, DC as the ‘capitol of the free world.’ But it seems to me that in this great city, which boasts 1000 years of history and which serves as the capital of Belgium and the home of the European Union and the headquarters for NATO, this city has its own legitimate claim to that title.”

And, of course, Biden has a point. The Brusselonians are famous for shedding their blood to defend the free world. One simply cannot think of the word freedom without thinking, “What’s that city in Belgium that’s synonymous with freedom?”

At least the moron didn’t bow to anyone. Not on camera, anyway.

Obama says Daniel Pearl’s beheading “captured the world’s imagination”

Oh, my god. Get this guy a teleprompter. Stat. “Obviously,” President Obama said, “the loss of Daniel Pearl was one of those moments that captured the world’s imagination because it reminded us of how valuable a free press is.”

Oh, my god. Get this guy a teleprompter. Stat.

“Obviously,” President Obama said, “the loss of Daniel Pearl was one of those moments that captured the world’s imagination because it reminded us of how valuable a free press is.”

Horrified the world? Disgusted the world? Exposed the cruel reality of Muslim extremists? Anything but “captured the world’s imagination.”

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: “The status quo simply is not where America is”

The senate majority leader’s not real good on that definition stuff.

If this is Tuesday, Joe Biden must have said something stupid

Joe Biden told the troops in Iraq, “As corny as it sounds,” he said, “Damn, I’m proud to be an American!”

Joe Biden spoke at a naturalization ceremony in Bagdad on July 4
Joe Biden spoke at a naturalization ceremony in Bagdad on July 4

OK, Joe actually said this on July 4th, but it was a holiday weekend and we were busy gorging ourselves on hot dogs at our neighbors’ Independence Day barbeque and just got to this story. But in our defense, it doesn’t really matter when Joe said it because any day is a good day for a bon mot du Joe.

Biden stopped in at a ceremony at Camp Victory in Baghdad where 237 U.S. servicemen and women from 59 countries were proudly being sworn in as new American citizens.

Can you imagine what a thrilling, emotional moment that must have been for those brave men and women?

That’s when Joe Biden, the Vice President of United States of America, got up to add a few special words to the occasion.

“As corny as it sounds,” he said, “Damn, I’m proud to be an American!”

BigHollywood.com summed it up perfectly:

If there’s one person, in one scenario, who should never, ever feel that it’s corny to be proud to be an American, it would be:

• The Vice President of the United States.
• Surrounded by hundreds of U.S. servicemen and women.

• Who have just become U.S. citizens.

• In a war zone.

• On Independence Day.

• You stupid moron, you.

Joe Biden doesn’t know the governor of New Jersey from the governor of Virginia

Joe Biden wrapped up his remarks by saluting Tim Kaine as the “great governor of New Jersey.” The only problem is, Kaine is the governor of Virginia, not New Jersey. One would think Biden would know this, because Kaine is also chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Everybody laughs at Vice President Joe Biden
Everybody laughs at Vice President Joe Biden

Joe “But-But-But-But” Biden is a never-ending source of amusement. And amazement. Not to the biased media of course, who liked to ignore all but Republican gaffes.

They sent the Vice President out to speak at a LGBT fundraiser the other night. He spoke for about twenty minutes and managed to cover all the gay bases. So far, so good. His keepers were breathing a sigh of relief as he came down the home stretch. Then disaster Biden struck.

Sending Joe Biden out to speak is becoming an exercise in sadism. But what the hell, this was the LGBT dinner, so a little sadism will probably go unnoticed.

Jokin’ Joe Biden makes crack about Obama’s teleprompter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuGi2bMwODs Vice President Biden was speaking at the Air Force Academy graduation recently when the wind took out his teleprompter. Jokin’ Joe then makes a crack at his boss’ expense: “What am I gonna tell the president when I tell him his Teleprompter is broken? What will he do then?” Hilarity ensues.

Perhaps even funnier is when the Fox reporter then segues from “Plugs” Biden to a story about the gene that is linked to baldness, saying it could put the Hair Club for Men out of business.

Coincidence?

Obama thinks the Constitution was written 20 centuries ago. Or the Bible was written two centuries ago. Or something.

“Of the many responsibilities granted to a president by our Constitution, few are more serious or more consequential than selecting a Supreme Court justice. The members of our highest court are granted life tenure, often serving long after the presidents who appointed them. And they are charged with the vital task of applying principles put to paper more than 20 centuries ago to some of the most difficult questions of our time.”

HotAir.com hypothesizes that he was actually referring to the bible instead of the Constitution. Maybe so, because if Bush had said this, the press would have crucified him.

Idiot Republican calls Charles Schumer “that Jew,” then makes it worse

Our advice to Kim Hendren: Shut the hell up.
Our advice to Kim Hendren: Shut the hell up.

Republican Kim Hendren, minority leader of the Arkansas state Senate, got mad the other day and called New York Senator Charles Schumer “that Jew” after Schumer told a TV interviewer that conservative Republicans are “hard right.”

Remarkably, Hendren attempted to explain away his gaffe by pointing out that he says a lot of stupid things.

“I don’t use a Teleprompter and occasionally I put my foot in my mouth,” he said.

Later, when asked to name a Jewish person he admires, he said, “ Jesus.” He also said he likes Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.

“I ought not to have referred to it at all,” Hendren said. “When I referred to him as Jewish, it wasn’t because I don’t like Jewish people.”

Schumer didn’t want to get anywhere near this stupidity and simply said, “Apology accepted.”

In other news, Hendren called Hillary Clinton “that bitch.” He didn’t really. But he should have.

Boneheaded Biden blabs location of super secret Vice President bunker

Nuclear codes, military secrets or anything else you want to know, Joe Biden will tell you.
Nuclear codes, military secrets or anything else you want to know, Joe Biden will tell you.

Vice President Joe Biden has put his foot squarely in his mouth again, accidentally revealing classified information meant to protect sitting vice presidents. You know, sitting vice presidents like Joe Biden.

While filling in for President Obama at the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, an Biden revealed the existence of a secret bunker under the historic U.S. Naval Observatory, which serves as the official residence of the vice president.

According to reporter Eleanor Clift, Biden “said a young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment.”

“The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down,” Clift continued, “this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn’t be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall.”

Biden’s blabbery seems to confirm reports of a massive underground construction project that began at the Observatory back in 2002. Neighbors were told the work was “sensitive in nature” and “classified.”

Fact is, you wouldn’t have to waterboard Joe Biden to get him to reveal secret information. You’d just need to say hi.

“¿Cinco de Cuatro”? Ay carumba.

George W. Bush was pilloried throughout his term by media detractors for his occasional malapropisms and verbal stumbles. One writer even published a collection of W’s gaffes in a book of “Bushisms”.

Will there be a book of Obamisms?

We’re not holding our breath, although there’s probably enough material already after the two-year-long campaign and only 100 days in office.

As the Associated Press reported:

Obama jumbled his words as he welcomed guests to the White House to observe the Mexican holiday, sending the crowd into laughter before he referred to the day correctly.

“Welcome to Cinco de Cuatro—Cinco de Mayo at the White House,” said Obama, in what appeared to be an attempt to note they were celebrating on the fourth of May instead of the fifth.

Cinco de cuatro means “five of four” in Spanish.

During the presidential campaign, Obama acknowledged his Spanish skills weren’t great.

And this is the same guy who last year was “embarrassed” that Americans traveling to Europe could only say, “merci beaucoup.”

Bush wasn’t our most eloquent president, but he at least had passable Spanish skills.

New York Post finds 100 Obama faux pas in 100 days, but CNN has trouble finding ten

On President Obama’s 100th day, CNN did one of its pathetically weak periodic attempts to show its lack of bias by presenting a list the President’s Top 10 faux pas.

Despite the fact that the New York Post was able to put together a list of 100 presidential screw-ups, here’s the best CNN could come up with.

10. Screwing up the oath of office (although CNN laughingly blamed it on Chief Justice Roberts)
9. Whacking his head getting into Marine One
8. Bowing to the Saudi king.
7. The First Lady touches the queen
6. Making the Special Olympics gaffe on the Tonight Show
5. Stepping on wife’s dress during an inauguration dance
4. Teleprompter woes
3. His daughters talk too much
2. Saying Nancy Reagan had a séance
1. Michelle called the new First Dog as Barney instead of Bo (although this was really Michelle’s faux pas)

The way we count it, the score was Barack 6, Michelle 2, Chief Justice Roberts 1, Malia and Sasha 1. In the end, CNN could only find six Obama faux pas. Somehow, they overlooked the foreign policy gaffes, the diplomatic woes, his domestic policy problems, his god awful history of nominee troubles, the exploding deficit, and on and on.

But they did notice that he stepped on his wife’s dress. This is truly investigative journalism at its finest.

Joe Biden banned from White House Twitter account

Joe Biden + Twitter = potential gaffes galore
Joe Biden + Twitter = potential gaffes galore

The White House announced that it now has a Twitter account. They picked up 7,000 followers in first four hours.

Here, as a public service, are the tweets they wouldn’t let Joe Biden make:

Swine flu is bad. Don’t let your kids ride trains. Make them ride in limos like mine do.

We need socialized medicine so everyone can get subsidized hairplugs.

Why didn’t that guy stand up when I asked him to?

The most important thing facing the middle class is a three letter word: J-O-B-S.

Barack Obama is a very clean black guy. Much cleaner than Clarence Thomas.

How come I wasn’t one of People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People? I’m better looking than Michelle.

I said Hillary Clinton was more qualified to be Vice President than I am. But what the hell, so is almost anyone.

My wife hates it when I toot. Do you think she’ll mind if I tweet?

If the British Prime Minister doesn’t want those 25 DVDs, I’ll take ‘em. That Jim Carrey cracks me up.

What’s wrong with bowing to the Saudi king? It’s not like Obama kissed his ass or anything.

We honestly don’t ask much of our government. But we pray that they let Joe Biden tweet.

The One’s one hundred mistakes in the first one hundred days

We "hope" things "change" in the next 100 days.
We "hope" things "change" in the next 100 days.

While the left is celebrating the greatest president in history, the hippest president in history, the greatest orator in history, the…ok…you get the idea. While they’re doing all of that, some people are living in the real world and seeing what an unmitigated disaster this unskilled rookie has become.

An article in Sunday’s New York Post lists the top 100 screw-ups in The One’s first one hundred days.

1. “Obama criticized pork barrel spending in the form of ‘earmarks,’ urging changes in the way that Congress adopts the spending proposals. Then he signed a spending bill that contains nearly 9,000 of them, some that members of his own staff shoved in last year when they were still members of Congress. ‘Let there be no doubt, this piece of legislation must mark an end to the old way of doing business, and the beginning of a new era of responsibility and accountability,’ Obama said.” — McClatchy, 3/11

2. “There is no doubt that we’ve been living beyond our means and we’re going to have to make some adjustments.” — Obama during the campaign.

3. This year’s budget deficit: $1.5 trillion.

4. Asks his Cabinet to cut costs in their departments by $100 million — a whopping .0027%!

5. “The White House says the president is unaware of the tea parties.” — ABC News, 4/15

6. “Mr. Obama is an accomplished orator but is becoming known in America as the ‘teleprompt president’ over his reliance on the machine when he gives a speech.” — Sky News, 3/18

7. In early February, the 2010 census was moved out of the Department of Commerce and into the White House, politicizing how federal aid is distributed and electoral districts are drawn.

8. Obama taps Nancy Killefer for a new administration job, First Chief Performance Officer — to police government spending. But it surfaces that Killefer had performance issues of her own — a tax lien was slapped on her DC home in 2005 for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help. She withdrew.

9. Turkey tried to block the appointment of Anders Fogh Rasmussen as new NATO secretary general because he didn’t properly punish the Danish cartoonist who caricatured Mohammed. France’s Nicolas Sarkozy and Germany’s Angela Merkel were outraged; Obama said he supported Turkey’s induction into the European Union.

10. . . . and he never mentioned the Armenian genocide.

Biden puts foot in mouth again. Credits stimulus for fire station funded by Bush.

Rare photo of Joe Biden as an infant, already exhibiting the trait for which he would later become famous.
Rare photo of Joe Biden as an infant, already exhibiting the trait for which he would later become famous.

Joe Biden showed up in North Carolina Wednesday to tell folks that the “stimulus” money isn’t reserved for Wall Street and car companies. No way, Joe assured them.

While appearing at an outdated fire station in Pikeville, NC, Biden promised billions for home loans and community projects like a new fire station for the good Pikevillians.

“We’re investing in places like this all across the country,” Biden bragged, “to demonstrate the vital role towns like this play in the recovery.”

Uh-oh. Fact check on register three, Joe.

The bulk of the money for the new fire station was secured last year. You know, last year when George Bush was president.

State Sen. David Rouzer, Pikeville’s Republican congressman said he helped nail down the construction funds out of last year’s regular federal budget.

“They’re coming in and cherry picking the best projects and switching out the money, saying it’s stimulus money,” Rouzer observed. “But it was already approved and in the pipeline. It’s totally disingenuous to come down here and say this is stimulus money, when regardless of whether a stimulus bill passed, they were getting the money.”

In other news, Biden announced that the Golden Gate Bridge, Hoover Dam and the 1939 New York World’s Fair would also be built with stimulus money.

Top 10 gaffes by Barack Obama and Joe Biden. All on video.

No matter what the American press keeps telling us, the foreign press is growing less enchanted with Camelot every day. Especially the British press. And even more especially the Telegraph.

This administration is setting a torrid pace for screw-ups and misstatements and just plain dumb comments. It’s only been 60 days. Of course, we expected that when we got Joe Biden, but no one expected the greatest orator in history to foul up so often.

The Telegraph has compiled a list of the Top 10 gaffes by Obama and Biden.

Far as we can tell, the tough part must have been limiting the list to ten.

Above is the Telegraph’s choice as Number 10. To see the rest of the list, click here. Prepare to laugh.

Brazilian leader’s name too hard to spell. No proofreader in the White House?

Enough already with the mistakes Mr. Obama, enough!
Enough already with the mistakes Mr. Obama, enough!

Britain’s Prime Minister got a set of DVDs and the bum’s rush. The Russian Foreign Minister got a button that said, “Reset” or “Overcharged” or something. And now to complete the diplomatic trifecta, the President of Brazil got his meeting bumped and his name misspelled.

According to an AP report, aides to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said the Obama administration pushed his trip forward from Tuesday because of St. Patrick’s Day. (Apparently, the Commander-In-Chief is actually Irish and his name was originally spelled O’Bama.)

Then the printed White House announcement misspelled his name as “Luis Ignacio” instead of “Luis Inacio” and put Lula – a nickname that became a legal part of the Brazilian leader’s name decades ago – in quotes.

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva may represent the world’s fifth most populous nation and ninth largest economy, but his name is just too long for the Obama administration’s short attention span:

But it’s not all bad news. There is job opening for a proofreader at the White House (as long as your taxes are paid up).

Joe Biden uncensored. Don’t listen if you can’t handle “the F-word”

joe_biden_fingersYou never know what’s going to come out of Joe Biden’s mouth. But we’ll bet you didn’t expect this.

Biden was at Union Station yesterday, bragging up Obama’s $1.3 billion “investment” in train stations and rail lines. The error-prone vice president was apparently unaware of a near-by microphone. When one of his former Senate colleagues called him “Mr. Vice President,” Biden replied with what is reportedly one of his favorite phrases:

[audio:https://www.ihatethemedia.com/wp-content/uploads/biden_give_me_a_fucking_break.mp3]

“Gimme a f*&$#ing break.”

Remember back in 2004 when Dick Cheney looked Senator Patrick Leahy straight in the eye and said, “Go f#$% yourself?” The libs got all weak in the knees, broke out in cold sweats, and swore they were absolutely horrified that Cheney had violated their virgin ears with such vile language.

Our reaction at the time? “Gimme a f*&$#ing break.”
