Philadelphia’s electric buses. The story is like something from a Saturday Night Live skit. You won’t know whether to laugh or cry. They delivered 25 of them in 2016, just in time for the Democrat National Convention so liberals could brag about them. The price was outrageously high, almost a million dollars each. The company that built them, Proterra, had Biden’s Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm (a woman so stupid she has the potential to make Hank Johnson look intellectual), on its board of directors. Biden recently touted Proterra as a company of the future. But not one of those million-dollar buses in Philadelphia is still on the road. They put them on the easiest routes they had, but they still couldn’t make it through the routes without running out of juice, and then they noticed the frames were literally cracking from carrying the weight of the batteries. Other cities around the nation have experienced the same problems. But Biden is still bragging about Proterra and promising to put more money in the federal budget for these giant electric paperweights.
