Saint Al Gore compares the civil rights battle to his global warming battle

TheHill.com has the details of Gore’s historical allusion illusion:

Al Gore told young green energy advocates Friday that progress on global warming must come from a strong grassroots movement that can counter the oil and coal lobbies, which he alleged have “paralyzed” governments.

Gore – who compared action on global warming to the Civil Rights movement – was the keynote speaker at Power Shift 2011, a Washington, D.C. conference attended largely by college students.

“It’s true that governments by and large have been politically paralyzed because the energy companies, the coal companies, the oil companies, the coal-burning utilities, they have spent enormous amounts of money and they have succeeded in many countries in paralyzing the political process,” the former vice president said.

… Gore said the Civil Rights movement was fueled by youth questioning their parents about legal discrimination, and he drew a link to climate change.

“When they could not answer that moral question coming straight from the conscience of young people, that is when the laws began to change,” Gore said. “You need to ask, ‘tell me again why its al right to put 90 million tons of global warming pollution into the atmosphere every 24 hours, 20 percent of it will still be there in 20,000 years.’”

As we recall our 1960s history, the civil rights movement was marked by a series of marches. Seems to us that Gore’s fat, flabby, flaccid body could benefit immensely from some marching.

So it is strictly with Gore’s health in mind that we say, “Hit the road, Al.”

Al Sharpton: You can’t be for civil rights and for states rights

Contrary to what Sharpton has to say, we’re pretty sure you can be for states rights and civil rights. But odds are you’ll be against civil rights scammers.

Here’s race con man Al Sharpton at the NAACP State Convention:

“My point is that they are advocating states rights which they are, immigration, they want Arizona to be able to supercede federal law and in other areas. States rights has always been the enemy of civil rights. The idea of the civil rights movement was for the federal government to protect citizens, not leave them alone. So that the basis of the Tea Party is antithetical to civil rights.”

Contrary to what Sharpton has to say, we’re pretty sure you can be for states rights and civil rights. But odds are you’ll be against civil rights scammers.

Feds accuse California county of being too white. No, really, too white.

Those vile racists in Marin County, California have built border fences topped with barbed wire in order to keep minorities out. Figuratively, of course, but that’s how the Obama administration looks at it.

Those vile racists in Marin County, California have built border fences topped with barbed wire in order to keep minorities out. Figuratively, of course, but that’s how the Obama administration looks at it.

The Bay Citizen reports the lily white details:

The draft report, released Wednesday, came in response to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s determination that Marin had “failed to comply” with the 1964 Civil Rights Act and two other anti-discrimination statutes.

Marin’s Community Development Agency recommended amending zoning regulations to ease the construction of new apartments, passing new laws requiring new developments to offer housing at below-market rates, and stepping up programs to combat discrimination by landlords and realtors.

Chuck Hauptman, HUD’s Regional Director for Fair Housing, said officials were reviewing the plan “to see if it is acceptable as far as content goes.”

Oddly enough, this is one of the most liberals enclaves in liberal California. Despite the fact that the Obama administration has somehow determined that the county is “too white” and, therefore, somehow racist, 77.77% of its voters cast their ballots for Obama in the 2008 Presidential election. Another .26% voted for lunatic leftist Cynthia McKinney and .18% voted for conservative Alan Keyes.

Bottom line: More than 78% of these racists voted for black candidates for President.

Michelle Obama thinks she’s the First Lady of a second rate country

Michelle Obama spoke to the 101st NAACP Convention on Monday. All you need to know about Ms. Obama is one line from that speech: “America is still unequal.”

Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States of America, who said her husband’s nomination made her proud of her country for the first time in her adult life, spoke to the 101st NAACP Convention on Monday. All you need to know about Ms. Obama is one line from that speech:

“America is still unequal.”

If we had been giving the speech, we would have added just one syllable to that comment:

“America is still unequaled.”

But that one little syllable pretty much sums up the difference between liberals and conservatives, doesn’t it?

Joe Biden somberly reflects on the fact that civil rights legend Dorothy Height was not “the first mainstream African-American” to be “articulate and bright and clean and nice-looking.”

This photo brings up one other question: It’s a funeral and we can certainly understand why everyone is so somber. Everyone, that is, except Nancy Pelosi. What’s with the big smile on her face?

200 New York state employees fired for being white

The post racial society ushered in by the election of Barack Obama, our first semi-black president, is manifesting itself in very unexpected ways.

Albinos need not apply in the state of New York

The post racial society ushered in by the election of Barack Obama, our first semi-black president, is manifesting itself in very unexpected ways.

Fredric Dicker, a well-known New York political reporter, recently reported that:
During the first five months of this year, with the Senate under the control of its first African-American majority leader, [State Senator Malcolm] Smith, top Democrats bemoaned the lack of minority Senate staffers.

But instead of trying to recruit new hires, they fired nearly 200 almost exclusively white workers and replaced them with a large number of minority employees, many of whom were seen by their fellow workers to be unskilled at their new jobs.

The move produced severe racial tensions, made worse by the fact that, as a high-level Democratic staffer confided, “We’ve been told to only hire minorities.’’

Congratulations. You now live in post-racial America.

Now clean out your desk, Whitey. Pack your belongings, Honky. And don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way you, Cracker.

Keith Olbermann calls Perez Hilton “an intellectual titan” and “a civil rights leader”

Perez Hilton is “an intellectual titan” and a “civil rights leader” while Miss California Carrie Prejean is a vile human being for holding the same opinion as the majority of people in her state and in the nation.

Apparently, Olbermann got his fill of juvenile sex puns in the infamous tea bagging episode, and now decided that breast implants should become his next frontier of intellectual exploration.

We realize it sounds preposterous, but that’s precisely what liberal icon Keith Olbermann and his vile guest discuss. With great glee.

Apparently, Olbermann has given up any hope of attracting a larger audience and is now interested only in being as absurd as humanly possible.

Congratulations, Keith. It’s always nice to see someone achieve their goal.

Leading Democrat objects to Obama administration’s “right wing extremist” report

Barack Obama and Janet Napolitano think this is the Tomb of the Unknown Terrorist.
Barack Obama and Janet Napolitano think this is the Tomb of the Unknown Terrorist.

Janet Napolitano finds herself this morning standing in a big pile of something that smells very bad.

Even a leading House Democrat wants to know why the Secretary of Homeland Security chose to issue a report that targets veterans as potential terrorists.

Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said he was “dumbfounded” by the report.

“This report appears to raise significant issues involving the privacy and civil liberties of many Americans — including war veterans,” Mr. Thompson stated in the letter to Napolitano.

“As I am certain you agree, freedom of association and freedom of speech are guaranteed to all Americans — whether a person’s beliefs, whatever their political orientation, are ‘extremist’ or not.”

You know the Department of Homeland Security report is a gross distortion of the truth when someone with Thompson’s solid liberal credentials sees the danger in it.

Torture Ban = Civil Rights Act

Back in 1989, when Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega took refuge inside the embassy of the Vatican in Panama City, we blasted rock ‘n roll outside the embassy 24 hours a day until Noriega couldn’t take it anymore.

We said we were serenading him. Noriega said we were torturing him. Good thing CBS newsman Bob Schieffer wasn’t on the scene.

“Hubert Humphrey once said the 1964 Civil Rights Act was America’s single most effective foreign policy initiative,” said Schieffer said. “It…told the world what we stood for and that our system was about fairness and equal treatment and that it worked. I thought about that when Barack Obama announced that torture would never be part of our national policy.”

Kenny G and that damn saxaphone. We say that’s what should be against the Geneva Convention.
