The media puts on the Full Alinsky after tragedy in Tucson

by editor on January 9, 2011

One doesn’t have to look hard to discover why MSNBC and CNN jostle each other for last place in cable news ratings.

Yesterday, as the Tragedy in Tucson unfolded, FOX gave viewers the journalistic basics – who, what, where and when.

They left out “why” as it is yet to be determined, but that didn’t stop the other networks from making both assumptions and accusations. CNN and MSNBC put on the full Alinsky, disgracefully exploiting the shootings to make political hay.

In Rules for Radicals Saul Alinsky said, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it  and polarize it.” So   instead of blaming the actual shooter and his twisted left wing political philosophy, the mainstream media followed Alinksy’s instructions and blamed all their usual suspects: Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and the Tea Party.

Liberals, the fraudulent Guardians of Free Speech, are once again making a pitch to silence speech they don’t agree with. Yet they choose to ignore the hateful screed of the liberal Daily KOS, who published, then scrubbed, multiple attacks on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, including bulls-eye targets and expressions of “She is dead to me now.”

daily kos

This post has mysteriously vanished

They tossed buckets of blood on Sarah Palin, then pointed their fingers and yelled, “She has blood on her hands!” And they did so without shame, without any sense of hypocrisy.

Six dead, including a child. A dozen injured. Dozens more in pain – the family and friends of the victims.

And all the mainstream media wants to do is exploit it, further fracturing the nation.

After Tucson, it can no longer be said that Obama’s media minions lean left. There is no lean – they are completely, overtly liberal. They’ve discarded the mask.

Yes, after Tucson it’s clear to see why CNN and MSNBC battle each other for last in the ratings, why they are so far back they are invisible in FOX’s rear view mirror.

Small justice, in that.

Thanks for the comments. The media has morphed over the years, into the horribly disfigured entity that we are stuck with today.
They went from reporting the news,
to distorting the news,
to obfuscating the news,
and now, as was all too evident this week, to flat out making things up to fit the agenda they are trying to sell.
They have forsaken ratings for ideology.
And it has to stop . . .

What a complete doofus that “boyblue” is. Clearly, he didn’t mean “dead” when he wrote “dead.” But just as clearly, Sarah Palin meant “get a rifle with a gunsight on it and point it at each one of those states on the map with the hopes of shooting those duly elected members of Congress to death so that we can violently overthrow the government.”

On the very-off-chance that “boyblue” reads something that doesn’t come straight from the DNC or Saul Alinsky’s presses, he should know that any apology that concludes by telling anyone who read what you said and called you on it to F-off, isn’t really an apology.

I emailed Daily Kos Tech Support and provided them links to their missing posts. I hope that they appreciate my efforts……:)

It’s the Daily Kos, it’s not like they REALLY meant is “DAED to me!” You must understand this, & that should settle any problem some may have with this sort of language.

Nice spelling on my part, IN CAPS LOCK of course. I’m a zilch.

The first thing one of my friends said (who is an idiot, but I love him still), was that the right wing is out of control and the right wing leaders are to blame… this was probably less than 6 hours after it happened. I was like uhm… sooooo how do you know that? Nothing in the news says that he was a right wing person nor a member of the Tea Party. He said he just knew… I guess because NO liberal would ever do this. Whatever… how embarrassed was he when it was found out that he was into Nazi stuff and leftist tendencies and what not? not very… he was just silent. He is not taking my calls now…, but he will be back and I am sure he won’t brush the subject because that is how it works ALL the time. First accuse, then when the truth comes out silence and then the subject is never touched again and if it is Verbal Jousting ensues. It is hard to speak to idiots especially when they are wrong and strong.

I do blame the media and minor forms of media like the Daily Kos for what they do, however idiots are idiots and they will always be idiots regardless. When idiots follow idiotic notions they will always ingest the idiotic media and ignore the rest, even when the rest is truth and the truth is obvious.

This is one of the many reasons why conservatives have to play it straight 24/7. It is difficult but it has to be done to the best of our abilities. AS a whole the conservative movement has to be as close to perfection as possible, it will not avoid such accusations, but it will make it possible for the truth to surface eventually. The sad part that even if it does, the minds of idiots will not be changed it is an uphill battle. However the smarter ones will eventually get it… I hope.

From now on let’s just call MSNBC and CNN what they really are, Izvestia and Pravda.Soviet era citizens used to say: “There is no truth (pravda) in the news (izvestia) and no news (izvestia) in the truth (pravda).”For those of you who don’t know Russian I added the Russian equivalents in parantheses, otherwise the saying doesn’t make a lot of sense when rendered in English.

Since this incident happened I have not watched any TV except for a little football. I’m not avoiding it or anything, there is just nothing I wish to watch. Other then that I poked around the HuffPo’s comments section about this story, (that was the normal lunatic ranting) and stopped by IHTM a few times.

So I know that the media would spend the first few hours relentlessly attacking the right due to the fact they do so over every tragic event that has ever and will ever happen. But a few minutes ago I turn on CNN. I figure sure they would throw a few jabs at the right but no honest, thinking, learned person could possibly think this had anything to do with the tea party at this point.

Well I was wrong. They had one of their field reporters on and she didn’t even hesitate attacking the tea party and Sarah Palin. She basically said this was both their faults and the tea party in Arizona has done nothing to reduce their rhetoric after this incident. She tied in the illegal immigration issues and the hatred which that raises and went on and on.

At this point I was in a shock. I know I shouldn’t be but they went all out. I honestly have never seen a more biased or false story in all my life. If Fox or Limbaugh had done half the slandering I just watch CNN do they would be shut down and off the air.

But that’s the media I guess.

It is a horrible day to discuss politics, but what we are witnessing from CNN and MSNBC is liberal politics at its best. Anyone who may stand in the way of the Obama machine is to be discredited at every opportunity. If you check CNN’s website you will find daily Palin bashing that is misleading at best and outright lies at worst. The more the left can paint the right with a crap colored paintbrush, the more they like it. Perhaps this strategy had a limited success in the November elections and kept people like Harry Reid in power, but hopefully the American people can start to recognize and reject these left wing arguments

Will Democrats and leftists now want to prosecute the New Black Panthers for threatening violence at a polling booth?

And for threatening to kill “crackers” and “cracker babies”?

Of course not. That was all done in an attempt to further the cause, so it was ok. The lefties look the other way.

Since we are on the subject of the goat smelling Daily Kos, here’s one that was put up back during primary season. I have the cached version because they will likely dig back and delete it, as well:

http://74.6.238.254/search/srpcache?ei=UTF-8&p=2010+will+be+primary+season+daily+kos&fr=yfp-t-324&u=http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=2010+will+be+primary+season+daily+kos&d=4924622543784686&mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US&w=a3608e56,ff9fcd69&icp=1&.intl=us&sig=6uLLbhEoGfySLJm8oP.isQ–

Sorry it is so long of a link, but it needs to be seen.

Here are some lines that can easily be interpreted in the same manner the other post by Kos and the Palin targeted map (emphasis is mine):

//”Who to primary? Well, I’d argue that we can narrow the TARGET LIST by looking at those Democrats who sold out the Constitution last week. I’ve bolded members of the Blue Dogs for added emphasis.”//

What followed was a list that included Rep. Giffords.
