Top Senate Republican wants Web bill shelved: Back in the 1930’s Congress created the FCC. Ostensibly this was with the intention of contending with issues of spectrum scarcity and guaranteeing that the communication infrastructure best served the interest of “the people”. From this inauspicious beginning was born an agency that has since been used to censor opinion, control the dissemination of information and place a muzzle on much of what did not agree with the contemporary DNC sanctioned truth. And now some in government want sweeping new powers to control the Internet. So good luck Senator Mitch McConnell. We need to put this bitch down.
