Let’s summarize: Obama drew a “red line in the sand” and the Syrians stepped over it, so Obama said he was going to intervene militarily to teach them a lesson, but then the Brits told their prime minister, “No, hell no!” and now Obama has changed his mind and will seek congressional approval… while insisting he doesn’t need congressional approval and not bothering to call Congress into session (like the Brits did) so they can actually talk about it and, by the way, if he doesn’t get congressional approval he’s going to bomb the living shit out of Syria anyway for “humanitarian” reasons.
