Farrell: Capitalism is killing our morals, our future (In a Market Society, everything is for sale). The genius of a market society is that it requires two parties to agree before a transaction can be completed. Price and value are set by the owner and by the one seeking to be the owner. At any time either participant can abstain from the process and no force on earth can then remove the property from the individual that owns it. This arrangement is somewhat problematic for a man like Paul B. Farrell. The system he prefers can only succeed when men are neither consulted nor fairly compensated before their wealth and labor are confiscated for purposes that will leave them much worse off than they were before. Which is precisely why this old statist prefers the slave market to one that is free.
