Could Silicon Valley be underwater by 2100? Experts warn parts of San Francisco are SINKING faster than the sea is rising. It appears landfill is a lot more of a problem than rising sea-level. But, but, the global warming consensus!
Some areas are sinking at rates of nearly half an inch (10mm) a year while seas are rising at 0.12 inches (3mm) per year and accelerating.
Actually per NOAA the sea-level rise in Redwood City (along the bay south of SF) the relative sea level trend is 1.99 mm/year (0.07834646 inches/year) with a 95% confidence interval of +/- 1.71 mm/year (0.06732283 inches/yr) based on monthly mean sea level data from 1974 to 2016, which is equivalent to a change of 0.65 feet in 100 years.
