Remember the tragic tale of the Lockerbie bomber? The poor chap was diagnosed with advanced terminal prostate cancer, freed from prison in Scotland and allowed to return to live out his few, final days in Libya. We were told in the gravest of tones that he had but three months to live.
But thanks to the miracle that is Libya’s healthcare system, the Lockerbie bomber is alive and well.

Megrahi, 57, no longer receives hospital treatment after ending a course of chemotherapy.
Last night, the British cancer specialist who gave the three-month prognosis was forced to defend his prediction.
He insisted that Megrahi remained gravely ill and was not expected to live much longer.
Call us cynical, but we thnk we’ll be reading this same story a year from now. And we still won’t know the real reason this murderer was released to live in Libyan luxury.
