Hillary Rosen Lavishes Praise on Barney Frank: Who is Hilary Rosen? She used to head up the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). It was her job to make sure that most artists never made any money from their music; that a CD costing around $2.00 to make, manufacture, advertise and distribute cost the consumer $20.00; and to see to it that the masses were only exposed to the music she wanted them exposed to . . . even if it meant resorting to practices that rather closely resembled racketeering. So it comes as no surprise that she is a Democrat.
