NRA Lobbyist Marion Hammer: FL Gun Control Law Bans Under 21’s Purchased Guns. So now we have under 21 adults (we say adults because they’re old enough to serve in the armed forces) who not only can’t buy firearms, they may not get them back if they pawn them, or leave them with a gunsmith. We hope the gun owners of Florida make these GOP morons pay by voting them out at the next election.

NRA Florida Lobbyist Marion Hammer writes [via ammoland.com]: As previously reported, the passing of the Florida gun control bill was so orchestrated by Republicans that as soon as Governor Scott signed the bill into law, FDLE quickly shut down the firearms background check system for hours to update the system to accommodate the new gun control provisions . . .

They did this with no prior notice to dealers.

Damn that takes me back to when times were simpler. The pretend version needs to give it up and let the band RIP.

Let me see if I have this correct. You can vote at 18, you can get into debt at 18, you are an adult at 18, you can raise your right hand and serve in the US Military at 18. But you can not own a gun in FL at 18.

If the authorities in Broward county had done their damn jobs, Cruz would have been in a mental hospital receiving proper care and supervision. He would have been “in the system”. No the dumbasses in Coward Broward county chose to do the PC Bull Shit!!!! thing and now 17 lives have been lost. This whole thing is an utter failure by the local, state and federal authorities. Who all should cowboy up, admit that they screwed up and resign from their jobs, be recalled, or fired.

Google obama+ promise + Broward county. Seems this program was invented around the Trayvon incident and designed to get minority teens out of high school without a record. Federal funding for districts that meet the guidelines. The whole mess will make you sick to your stomach and is something the republicans need to be screaming from the rooftops.

I thought the same way when I raised my hand and volunteered to serve. Couldn’t buy a gun of any kind, could not vote, could not buy a beer, but I could carry a M-16 and get killed! But I have changed my mind over the years. I’m a farm boy and at 17 I was a man, ready to take on a man’s job. How many do you know today who are ready at that age to step up and do a mans work? My old daddy was a mean sob but he taught all us boys how to stand up and be a man in all things in life and we did. But how many boys are raised in single family homes these days? No father in the picture, just momma trying to get by? 18 year old kids are not the same as when I was 18, they are still children and not adults. Many are not adults until they are 25 or older and move out of momma’s basement. While I agree with you, I do not like gun controls of any kind, we have to look at reality and the reality today is 18 year old kids are just that, kids, and have no business owing a weapon.
