2010 has been a great year for IHTM. Our readership has more than doubled. Hundreds of other websites have linked to our stories. Radio and TV stations around the world have picked up our stuff. Major accomplishments, all. We appreciate your support and positive comments.

Believe it or not, though, not everyone loves us. In fact, some people hate us. Detest us. Abhor us. So we thought we’d share our favorite hate mail of 2010 as found in comments or sent to our Hate Mail page.

It’s funny how all the stereotypes about crazy republicans are actually true. On this blog you get it all: people talking about how we NEED guns, lots of people puffing out their chests without anything constructive to say, hanging on to religion like it’s something actually tangible. Here’s a beating dude, and a legit one, if you even remotely, for even a moment, believe the ridiculous right wing propaganda that there is such a thing as “liberal media bias” then you rank as one of stupidest people ever to walk the earth. You obviously don’t even understand the definitions of liberal and conservative, you obviously have no clue what the actual spectrum of political thought and opinion is, and you obviously have no clue about who is actually presenting you the “news,” what their agenda is, what the results of their efforts have been, or what the actual news is that they either report on misleadingly or censor and don’t report on at all or rarely. You are indeed a f**king idiot!

In fact, my point is, that you all should know that I am monitoring this site daily and reading every new comment. The ‘editor’ may be able to block my comments but he/she cannot block my access to viewing this and I am watching very closely for veiled threats.

I am warning all visitors to this site right here and now that if I hear any more veiled threats, I am forwarding them directly to the FBI and DHS, as I have already previously done, and I am ppretty certain the editor knows of which comment(s) I refer to as he/she responded when I noted it.

As for the people that run this site, I am sure you are aware that if you are served an FBI security certificate you will be unable to warn your posters or discuss that event with *anyone* under threat of federal prosecution.

Keep in mind that the new focus of the DHS is teabagger-terrorists, militia, right-wing hate sites, racist groups and bloggers and gun freaks.

Keep it clean folks, or you may find yourself under the watchful eye of the NSA or the FBI and you will not know it.

Criticism and insults are one thing (guilty myself) but anything remotely resembling a potential threat is going straight to the newly-saved FBI email address in my contacts database.

I would get into the ridiculous assertions the article makes, but I have to question your intellectual capacity given the many errors which make the blog nearly unreadable – it’s not worth the effort it would take to dismiss your hopelessly regressive, outdated, and out of touch arguments. I will accept your money, though – email me if you’re hiring an editor; I could do it in my spare time in the evenings, and I could sure use some new kitchen appliances for my RV.I guess it’s easier to fire off an inaccurate but blistering polemic than to carefully research and flesh out an argument and write thoughtful and meaningful points and counterpoints. It seems like you’re engaging in many of the same practices that cause you to hate ‘the media’ – as long as it’s entertaining, forcefully written using the latest political buzzwords, and you *sound* like you know what you’re talking about because you’re so adamant, that’s more important than actual facts and correctly spelling basic scientific measurements and temperature scales, right?

Not to sound smug or anything…but you are media so do you hate yourself? if so why would you bother showing yourself online…it would only make things worse for you. Also the media if the means through which you convey the message so i guess the question is do you hate the internet? If so why are you online? Whats wrong with you?
